Activates/turns on with very little signal required
For the price, it has plenty of volume and sounds great. What especially impressed me is how sensitive the auto turn on feature is. I can have my SMSL DAC/AMP barely play, literally at volume 1 setting, and the sub will turn on. I have had far more expensive subs that don't activate/turn on until much more volume is added. This is perfect for me as a sub for my PC. I can play it at a reasonable volume when I want to, and can also play quietly if I need to and still have a little extra bass.Ver másVer menos

It works.
Easy to install and sounds great. Could be louder, but it meets my needs.

Quality Sound, versatile, great subwoofer
Pairs excellently with Edifier's r1280t speakers. Has a clean, refined sound and still woofs in fairly large or open spaces. The build quality is fantastic in its price category. The ability to pair it with powered speakers that don't have a sub-out is fantastic yet seemingly rare. I've been pleasantly satisfied with the T5s and appreciate the added depth/quality its added to games, music, and other content.Note: was shipped in a double box that was quite thick and arrived faster than expected.Ver másVer menos

Big power in a small package
I rarely write reviews, but this woofer blew me away. I just hooked it up. My hi fi system is located in a small room within my house. I didn't need a lot of power, but I was skeptical. Fortunately, this little guy is more than enough to handle the job. I'm shocked by how much "oomf" it packs. My walls are shaking and I barely have it turned up! Set up only took a matter of minutes. The controls are very simple and the sound is superb. Tremendous value for the cost.Ver másVer menos

Understand it's purpose and it's fabulous
It's important to understand that this sub is designed to augment Edifier's small speakers, it's not designed to rattle your neighbor's windows. Ideally, you run an RCA patch cable to the sub and then another patch back to your powered speakers. It works much like any small sub/satellite system as found in many dedicated computer speaker systems. However, it will work in some other configurations. In my case, I'm using a pair of old Klipsch R14-Ms - that I scored at a thrift store for 10 bucks - with an SMSL AO300 integrated amp fed thru a USB-C connection from my desktop computer to the SMSL internal DAC. I've run a single RCA patch from the SMSL's sub output to one of the RCA inputs on the sub. This works fine, and sounds WAY better than a system with ten dollar thrift store speakers should ever sound, but I like to feel a warm blanket of bass and the slight thump of a kick drum. This little sub extends the range of my little R-14Ms, changing the near field experience from nice little speakers right in front of me to an immersive sensation of music all around me. It's still pretty transparent. The imaging does not suffer. And it reproduces musical sound, accurate low notes, not just a resonant thump. It rounds out the feeling of sitting at the desktop to feel more like sitting in my listening space with my bigger speakers... you just can't get that feeling with 4 inch woofers. So that's what this is designed for - augmenting small woofers - not rattling floors and walls. I would not recommend using it as an LFE sub, but if that's what you're looking for, post your own review, I'd be interested. Oh - and it's about the size of a medium computer tower. The size is a definite selling point, part of the reason I tried it. It tucks discreetly into a small space.Ver másVer menos

Good bass
This is a very solid sub for the use. The bass is good but not amazing. It definitely adds depth to the sound, but it is not going to raddle anything. You won't feel this bass in your chest, but it will improve the overall sound experience.
