Impressive for the price and works great
Originally I bought the clip on version and was happy with the quality but wanted something that covered the ear a little more for riding. Since I liked the quality of the clip on I grabbed these ones and can say it was a smart move. This may be a long review so the cliff note version is I am impressed, love these, great battery life and highly recommend!First impressions when I opened the package was that it looked a lot more premium than I expected. It showed up with a 88% charge so I started putting it through some tests.First test was comfort and how it fit with glasses. I was hesitant with over the ear type because I wear glasses so thought it would cause discomfort or not for right. To my surprise these fit with no issues and are actually comfortable. To be honest, you can hardly notice they are there and don't interfere with the glasses or move when you adjust your glasses. So the first test it passed with flying colors.Next was touch function. Being honest, they are very sensitive which I originally thought was a negative, Turns out that was a huge positive. It's very easy to control and works great even with sweaty hands. Only requires a light touch and is very responsive.Now comes the most important test for me, sound quality, wind blocking and volume. Sound quality is good and about the same as other open ear headphones. You aren't getting thumping bass with an open ear headset, that's just not really possible with them. But it does have good mid bass, clarity and overall sound quality. Initial tests were done around the house, outside with cars going by, landscapers and other activity. I never needed to go above half volume to hear the music clear and was still able to hear everything around me. Connected to my firestick and tested it on some movies and shows which it worked extremely well and actually felt like more bass too. But next was the real test for me, riding my ebike on the street. The clip on one's worked but after a certain speed the wind drowned out the music. Well, wind noise is essentially gone with these due to the design and placement of the speaker. Got up to 28 mph or so with cars flying by and could hear my music no problem. I didn't even need it at full volume but did put it there to do some more tests. At full volume I was still able to be aware of my surroundings and hear things without issues. This was my biggest concern as I want to hear my music but need to hear what is going on around me for safety. Again, it passed with flying colors.Last test was battery life. Well, after 12 hours of use they still had over 60% left which I was not expecting since I started with only 88% and know every company over inflates the runtime. But I believe these are accurate or close enough to their 40hr estimate. Normally I don't like falling below 30-50% before I charge and that seems like 2 plus solid normal days for me with these. Very very happy.So what originally was only going to be used for riding, at the mall/store or outside activities now has become something I use for a ton more.Ver másVer menos
