The best projector I have used so far
I have been using projectors for a long time now but never wanted to spend that much money on one. I wanted something portable with integrated smart player so that I didn't have to buy a streamer. I decided to splurge this time and bought this unit. As you would expect from Xiaomi, this unit is Apple(esque). The integration of google TV is a big plus as it makes the setup very easy and allows to download all sorts of apps in the App Store. The built quality is also really good with a nice touch on the backlit remote control. The form factor is a big plus as it is very portable and the stand is a nice plus if you want to set it up behind the couch and forget it. The locking mechanism on the stand is well made. Overall the whole device is really well made.From a picture quality perspective, it is pretty bright even during the day (as long as you don't project on a wall that doesn't have direct sunlight and you keep the picture size reasonable). The autofocus works pretty well, the auto keystone works well on a straight wall. If you have cathedral ceilings and project on them, you will have to manually adjust the picture, but it can be done.Finally, the sound with the harman kardon speaker. The sound is good for voices but I have to say that I was expecting more from this brand and would have wanted to hear more bass.Overall a very good portable unit, well built and worth the money when you consider that you don't need an extra dongle to watch your favorite shows.Ver másVer menos

Super impressed — this thing’s a game change
This projector completely exceeded my expectations. The picture quality is super clear with great contrast — everything looks sharp.Battery life is amazing — I got close to 5 hours in ECO mode using the base (about 2.5 hours without it). That’s plenty for a full movie night or just streaming on the go.Google TV runs smoothly, and it has all the apps I need — Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, everything just works. It honestly feels faster and more user-friendly than other systems I’ve used.The built-in speakers are surprisingly good. Clear vocals, nice treble, and enough volume to fill a room.Auto framing works well most of the time. Just make sure it’s centered with your wall or screen, otherwise you might notice a slight gray edge from the keystone correction.Overall, it’s a fantastic all-in-one projector that’s compact, stylish, and genuinely fun to use. Newer model got worse!
Worse projector experience. I should have returned this but it’s too late. I bought a Mogo 2 Pro in 2024 and it performs way better. It just doesn’t have Google TV but atleast the remote is receptive and the picture and sound is way better. I liked the stand this Mogo 4 comes with and it looks better than my Mogo 2 having to stand on a separate stand. But the responsiveness is incredibly slow. Sometimes it turns off unexpectedly and it takes a few tries to get the projector working! I’m pretty sure they sent me a defective one unless this one just went downhill!Ver másVer menos

Projector over TV for me!
I was deciding whether I wanted to buy an actual TV or a projector. After extensive research on my part and the highly intuitive ChatGPT, I went with this selection.It is a very nice projector and is surprisingly bright. I live in an apartment that doesn't receive a high level of natural light so this was the perfect selection for my current living situation.I give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐ because there are a few niggles that help to fall short of a 5 star rating:1. The battery life is atrocious. While I leave it plugged in and will never use it as a portable option, if I ever wanted to do that the battery life is a sad state of affairs. So I wouldn't recommend this model for battery life.2. The picture quality is shockingly adequate. I use my bare white painted wall and it is fine. I don't see the need for a screen or anything like that. I may still get one but don't really see a need in my personal situation.3. The remote control gets the job done though I wish there were a mute button on it. The smaller portable remote that is detachable from the physical projector ironically has the mute button, but has less features compared to the main remote. Otherwise the remote gets the job done.4. Bluetooth: the projector performa well with Bluetooth connectivity. I haven't had an issue at all with connecting my speaker, the projectors own remote, or my game controller. Seems to work very well.5. The keystone feature works extremely well. It adjusts itself at any angle and will let you know if it can't and for you to adjust the projector so that it can. Fabulous feature really. I love it!6. Entertainment value is up there in the stratosphere. I love this thing! I'm glad I did not buy a TV. In fact, moving forward I think that projectors are the way I'll be going. Eventually I will invest in a premium projector that does even more than this one. Right now however, the XGIMI MoGo 4 2025 is a smash hit for me, even with the little niggle or two.Ver másVer menos

Decent hardware but the software leaves much to desired
For a $400 projector that is the size that this is the image quality and sound that comes from the device is quite impressive.It provides good resolution even on uneven surfaces and colors that are quite pleasant to look at.It does very well in medium to low light environments, but without a proper projector screen I would not trust this in bright environments.The two major things that ultimately disappoint me are the software and battery.For some reason this device has pretty aggressive parasitic battery drain, I can charge it to full turn it off close it up and put it on the shelf and in a week's time the battery will be below 10%.So keeping a power source nearby is necessary of which you have had a very bad experience finding any external batteries that are able to power this device. For some reason none of my battery banks are able to charge this device every time I plug them in My projector does not recognize their being a power source so I'm constantly having to run extension cables to power the device.The next major downside is the software, this is clearly a labored and over bloated software operating system the very limited on board memory and processor struggle with simple clicks and traversing of the operating system 90% of the time.These two quality of life shortcomings significantly degrade the premium quality experience that the rest of the hardware such as the projector elements and speaker provide, It is a genuine shame that it feels so cheap and inefficient when navigating using the built-in operating system.Where this projector excels is when you are plugging it in with your laptop and have a power source directly there and you utilize it as a secondary display but as a built-in on the go solution operating system leaves a lot to be desired.Ver másVer menos
