I’ve absolutely loved every book in Marie Force’s First Family series! From the very first page, this series draws you in with a perfect mix of suspense, crime, and romance—a combination that Marie Force does so well. The characters feel like old friends, especially the members of the First Family and their incredible circle of coworkers and friends. Each storyline is compelling and emotional, with just the right amount of action and intrigue to keep you turning the pages late into the night.I’ve come to really care about this cast of characters, and I’m always excited to see what happens next in their lives—both professionally and personally. The blend of political drama, personal relationships, and high-stakes situations makes this series unforgettable.Please keep them coming, Marie! insider criminals are the worst
Once again Mrs Force didn’t disappoint! Great story line. Wasn’t sure how this one would end, but it’s was a fantastic read as always! Thank you!

Always a delight to return to this series
So much is happening in this installment — danger is striking from every direction, and no one is sure what’s behind the chaos. Vernon, ever the genius, throws out a theory that completely changes the course for everyone. Enemies of the First Family make bold, dangerous moves, leaving several characters injured and in the hospital.Past misdeeds resurface, and the question of whether she’ll keep her job looms larger than ever. Amid all the tension are touching, beautiful moments of friendship and family — especially scenes with Dr. Trulo, Scotty, the littles, Eli, Sam’s department, and Nick’s observation about the Presidential Medal nominations. Some new relationships develop and a new cold case has my attention.This series continues to be an absolute delight. I love how every detail and character feels alive — colorful, layered, and jumping right off the page.Ver másVer menos

it amazes me the crimes the author comes up with for these awesome books.
Sam is at it again with her squad. But chasing bad guys becomes very personal in this story. It is time to truly clean house at the MPD.I really enjoy this series and always look forward to new books in it. I will say that there is a bit of squeemishness (word) with what I think is too much adulation of Sam in this one. A couple of typos on a character name of Mikah/Micha? It swapped back and forth. The editing is usually meticulous in Ms. Force’s books. But that is my pickiness.It almost felt like the author is trying to end this series though.Ver másVer menos

What an AWESOME Series! Marie Force’s “First Family” Books Enthrall From Start to Finish
I’ve been anxiously awaiting the 9th Book in Marie Force’s “First Family” series and I’m a fourth of the way through. And I am already sad that I’ll have to wait until Christmas for Book 10! So far, this book is fast-paced, beyond interesting and lets the reader imagine just how difficult it could be for “regular” folks to adjust to living in the White House and all the baggage that would come with it. ESPECIALLY if the First Lady or First Gentleman (please let there be a FG in my lifetime) continues working at the job they had previously to their spouse becoming President. I think Book 10 is gonna be the conclusion. The only way to bear that is if Amazon Prime creates and produces a continuing TV show based on the First Family Book series! They could even start with that prequel book series “Fatal”. If you haven’t read the previous books in this series, YOU MUST. DO NOT START with Book 10. I’d even recommend reading Marie Force’s “Fatal” series first!Ver másVer menos

The Price of Retribution
This series just gets better and better. Every book keeps the reader wanting more — immediately! The characters and their connections get stronger, the plots more thrilling, and the twists always fulfilling. The combination of political thriller, police procedural, family drama and romance are perfectly packed into these pages. I’ve already ordered Book 10.NOTE: For maximum enjoyment, read the books in sequence, starting with The Fatal Series (the first half of Sam and Nick’s story before The First Family Series continues their journey together). Another Wonderful First Family Book
I love this series and State of Retribution has it all! There’s a well developed plot and characters. It has so much feeling and excitement that I was glued to my kindle app from start to finish. If only Marie Force could keep the stories coming as fast as I can read, but then I would never get anything done.Ver másVer menos

Unbelievably good
Wow, what a book. I dont think I have ever felt so emotionally engaged before. I have read this whole series now, several times, but this one just hit me with the feels. As usual, the storyline is beleivable. The usual characters weave this utterly absorbing tale together so well. Sam and Nick's love shines through the pages for each other and their children and family. I do not want this series to ever end.Ver másVer menos

AGAIN, I love this series, but…
by now there are waaaay too many characters who sometimes even get to tell the story in their own POV. It’s exhausting.Also like I said before: Too many pleasentries are exchanged. Noone, I repeat noone, talks like this.Nick is slowly but surely transformed into a side piece instead of finally getting the story the character deserves. He is the President for crying out loud! The author created a whole series around him becoming President, so why not use it?And what about Gretchen? That woman is a bad apple sitting in the WH, and the only reason we know about it is because Sam has an odd sense prickling down her spine everytime she sees the woman. WHY?!I miss the good old days when Sam was hunting down corrupt politicians.Don’t get me wrong, this book was well paced and had a great storyline but all the rest is just filler incl. all those dialogues. Lets have them spend a whole book making love on Bora Bora, that would be totally fine with me at this point.Leave Sam alone, let her do her job and let Nick step into the light!Ver másVer menos

You just can't put it down.
Another brilliant read. In this storyline there is a good balance of family and intense work loads for both Nick and Sam. Glad Avery had more of a role. Love this authors skill for telling great, involved in many levels stories. How lucky are we to get to read them?Ver másVer menos
