  The best mini-computer for the next 3-5 years!!

  I have been working with computers since 1975 my first one was at my high school “Digital Equipment Company PDP-10E” so for 50 years now I have watched the computers evolve and get smaller and more efficient but I had to write a review on this one because it transcends our time and opens the door to the following future and you are already in it.“neuromorphic computing is expected to play a significant role in the future of research by integrating GPU, CPU, and neural network processing into hybrid, heterogeneous systems”Yes mimicking how the human brain actually works. I’m not joking this is where we are with technology. This is the technology where GPU NPU and CPU come together and is a technology multiplier. We are at the corner stone of combing each processor working together with minimal energy.This computer has all three…,amazing!!!Beelink SER9 Pro AI Mini PC, AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370(80TOPS,12C/24T,5.1GHz), 64G LPDDR5X 8000MHz 2TB PCIe4.0 x4 SSD, AI PC AMD Radeon 890M NPU 50 AI Tops, Built-in MIC/Speakers/USB4/WiFi6/BT5.2/2.5GI bought this computer last June 2025 I am retired but wanted to wait to do a review there is a lot to go over but I wanted to condense my review for you so it would help your learning curve with this computer.The computer is built for AI, Gaming and a work horse while being quiet and with minimal power consumption.I’m running/testing an AI version OLLama gpt-oss: the 20B and the 70B versions, the 20B runs great. The 70B gives better answers but takes considerably longer. (Seconds vs minutes) for an answer they also have a 120B version which I have not tried but is too big anyway. TheOllma gpt-oss.:20b is the best choice for simple installation and a free program to start your journey into AI.Other programs I’m running on the AI 9 370HX:Fortect - Performance/security/Privacy/Driver updates and virus monitoringAMD Adrenaline 25.11.1 updates computerAMD Chipset Drivers version 7.06.02.123Microsoft PC ManagerWindows 11 Pro 64bitSteam call of Duty Warzone/ Plunder for Gaming run 60-130FPS on Warzone depending on the connection.My computer was a semi-early version and there was a lot of issues with the security TPM 2.0 protocols and chipsets but those issues are behind’s us now with the new chipsets are highly secure.The computer is a brute and with the 64GB RAM which is available for AI and the microprocessor it Kicks “Things” into high gear very quickly while only using 35-50 watts power (imagine a 35 watt light bulb) the power supply is a 200 Watt power supply but you will never use that much power even with a monitor also it has the 890 NPU and shares Graphics card on the motherboard which also shares operations with the processor. The computer is amazing quite even when playing all out. The fans are barely noticeable. This is the next generation of computers here today and is worth ever penny. I’m rating this five stars because it also starts-up in less than a second!! So if you want the best mini-computer for the next 3-5 years this is the best one on the market. Great value solid workmanship and great design you owe to yourself to buy the best do it for you. If you do buy one set sometime aside or a vacation because you will dive into this headfirst.   Unstable BIOS

  The USB-4 port was unstable on the first unit. I did an amazon return after trying several recommendations, including Bios updates, from BeeLink's support. The second unit did not reliably boot and was unstable in sleep mode. After several weeks of tweaking this and that and several BIOS modifications, BeeLink exchanged the computer. The current one is incompatible with fast-start and can't hibernate without crashing. Changing some Windows setting cleaned that up, but the screen still comes on, and the keyboard lights go on and off infrequently in sleep mode. Other than that, has been stable for three months of daily use. It's fast and quit. BeeLink support responds within 24 hours (except during Chinese New Year) and tries to be helpful.Ver másVer menos

  Fast and small, light gaming on ultra wide hi res monitors

  This flies... Ubuntu rocks! No issues with drivers. Just wish it came with a bit better GPU... The upcoming big brother of this one does have an better GPU but that's more $$$$

  Solid to excellent for 2025.

  Disclaimer, I bought this* directly on Beelink's website because Amazon kept delaying my ship date and understandably it would keep going in/out of stock and disappear. I had no issues ordering via Beelink.*This: "Beelink SER9 Pro AI Mini PC, AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370(80TOPS,12C/24T,5.1GHz), 64G LPDDR5X 8000MHz 2TB PCIe4.0 x4 SSD, AI PC AMD Radeon 890M NPU 50 AI Tops, Built-in MIC/Speakers/USB4/WiFi6/BT5.2/2.5G"OK, so my top two concerns were that it has an array of microphones and speakers baked in. Turns out these are easily disconnected from the system by removing a ribbon cable for each.My top items I wanted to address:* My current system (a NUC11) could only do 4K/60hz resolution via HDMI, while my monitor supports 4K/144hz. I am happy to say this not only supports 4K/144Hz w/ HDR under full RGB, it also supports variable refresh rate, so an added bonus.* Audio - the NUC11 has an audio port on the front for headphones that does 24/48 or 24/96, which is good, but I have a pro-level audio interface does 24/192, and I wanted to match it so I could swap without having to restart audio applications (lazy, I know). Her's a quirk - the audio driver for the SER9 limits the audio to 24/48 or 24/96 (again, I don't remember) but removing it, unlocks up to 24/192 using the Microsoft driver. My solution otherwise is a USB-C dongle/DAC that does quite a bit higher resolution, but this frees up a USB-C port on the front, as the back one goes to my audio interface that I use...sometimes.* At times the NUC11 didn't have the CPU or graphics capabilities to display things like PDF files smoothly. This one seems to do that just fine.A quirk, the 2TB model comes with 2x 1TB M.2 SSD. BIOS implies RAID capability but I didn't bother as I have a 4TB Western Digital Black. The Wifi card is right below the M.2-1 and will prevent installation of any double-sided M.2., such as the WD Black, But, installing into M.2-2 works just fine. It does mean that one will need to be careful about the M.2 they install should they opt to replace it. Of note, the 2 that it came with are Crucial units, though I don't know the details.Another quirk, I don't remember it doing this with the OEM loadout / first boot, but the beelink splash logo on boot, and reinstalling Win11; the resolution was terrible and unreadable, with the video at times jumping a bit and otherwise glitching; I've done it enough times I was able to get through it w/o issue, and as soon as the graphics driver loaded, windows itself is fine and displays as expected.It does come with Win 11 Pro preinstalled and activated, I didn't see where that's specifically called out.The system overall is quick, quiet and seems to be powerful, even on efficient settings, which some systems kind of limp out. Even seems to run cool under load rather than sounding like a turbo spooling on a Peterbilt.I will add that there's also a bit of a challenge with the design; as the case is made of aluminum, Bluetooth is degraded. The Wi-Fi antenna wires are on the bottom, along the back where the IO ports are, so some cables/devices can cause interference. Such as, with Bluetooth headphones, it's not uncommon to have some audio dropouts; however, placing it on its side seems to help. That said, I have a lot of metal involved in my desk, so that could be a contributor for sure. Wi-Fi does seem to hold up fairly well. I do have a Qualcomm card arriving, else, I might go with a USB-Bluetooth adapter or figure out a way to get the antenna outside of the aluminum case.
