  Excellent hiking pants that held up on tough trails

  I bought these for around $35 or so and they’ve been an excellent value. I wore them on both the Devils Dome Loop Trail in the North Cascades and Half Dome in Yosemite, and they performed great on both hikes.The material is lightweight, comfortable, and dries quickly. I fell a few times on rocky terrain and the pants didn’t tear or show any noticeable damage, so I was impressed with how durable they are.Mosquitoes can still bite through the fabric, but that’s pretty normal for lightweight hiking pants. If the bugs are really bad, I just throw on a pair of rain pants over them.Overall, these are comfortable, durable, and well worth the price. I’d definitely buy another pair and would recommend them to anyone looking for reliable hiking pants without spending a fortune.Ver másVer menos

  Comfortable and breathable hiking pants!

  These are very comfortable and breathable hiking pants. While I'm not a serious hiker, it was nice to wear these for the easier, family hikes in the national parks. These pants protected my legs from sun, bugs, and the plants we walked around. Also important for use in summer in Texas, Utah, and Arizona, these pants were breathable enough that I didn't melt wearing them.I was very happy to confirm that they are not noisy - almost no swishing when I walk. There are lots of pockets (with good sturdy zipper closures) and my phone fit easily into most of them. Oh, and they were easy to pack.I actually liked these pants so much that I purchased them in two more colors after trying them.   Comfortable, lightweight summer pants

  I was looking for a less expensive version of the Prana hiking pants and these are pretty close. I'm not a hiker but I like this style of pants because they are cool in the summer (and I don't love shorts). These are pretty nice. I'm a size 2 (5'1", 105 lbs) and the XS fit well. They are straight leg, and a little looser fit than I would like, especially around the thighs. The length is good, I hate when pants are too short (my legs are long for my height). I got Navy and it has grey trim which is ok, it looks nice but I could do without a second color. The Navy is almost a royal blue, lighter than a true Navy. Since I don't hike I could do without the toggles at the bottom but mostly I don't notice them. Overall they are a decent casual summer pant that will keep me cool on a hot day.Ver másVer menos

  Soft, great outdoor active pants

  Liking these so far!Pros: Zipper pockets are great. Both the normal pocket and the lower thigh pocket will hold my phone. Fabric is fairly soft. It repelled water great after getting splashed some in a dragon boat (large canoe), and the hems dried very quickly after stepping in about 1’ deep water getting in and out of the boat. Even in 90° heat and the dark blue color (kind of a very dark royal), I was tolerable; I didn’t seem to get too sweaty on my legs. I think I tend to prefer elastic waist pants for active pants, so these worked well for me. Cinch cuffs were also appreciated.Cons: Visible contrast zippers aren’t my favorite, so I’d probably do -0.5 stars for that, but on the flip side, there’s nothing worse than outdoor active pants with terrible pockets, so at least these have multiple that can hold a phone (iPhone 14 Pro). The black zippers on dark blue weren’t terrible either.Sizing: I’m 5’10”, ~155-160 lbs, 32.5” natural waist and 41” hips and ordered a Large. (Measurements may be a little old.) These days, I’m a 12 in Eddie Bauer and a 14 in LL Bean’s hiking pants, 10-12 in jeans. I don’t like pants that dig into my stomach, so I tend to prefer a looser fit and size accordingly. Length was tolerable but definitely showed some of my ankle (when cinched) with Keen water shoes.Ver másVer menos

  Badass backpacking pants

  I bought these for a backpacking trip in alpine environment (Enchantments in WA State). I didn’t want to spend a fortune on name brand, even though I know it’s a good investment (future things for this single parent). The reviews on these pants were good enough to make me take a chance, and I’m so glad I did!I’m 5’6 and 180lbs, and I went with the XL in black. I personally love a loose fit in the legs, and I could have absolutely done a Large instead — but I liked the roominess the CL gave while also fitting nicely in the waist! I also like to put my base layer underneath, and they layered well.Are they super stylish? Nope. Are they comfy? Hell yes. Do they hold up well in the rain? They do! Do I love the pockets? Yessssss! What about the cinch feature at the ankles? I never used it, because it was actually cold and rainy most of my backpacking trip.I wore these three days in a row and while my body got stanky, the pants didn’t seem to pick that up! They also dry super quickly, which was nice on the trail — I let them hang in a dry spot while changing into my camp pajamas, and they were ready for the next day faster than I expected!I didn’t notice any significant wrinkling. They seem perfect for packing down in a backpack! The material is soft, the zippers worked well, and overall they are a very versatile pair of pants.I’ll be getting another pair in the orange!Ver másVer menos

  Fabulous lightweight packable all kinds of adventure pants

  These pants are fabulous. They are lightweight, breathable, packable, so comfortable, have a plethora or very useful pockets, cinch bottoms to keep out unwanted pests and fit inside hiking boots or tall sneakers. Wore them multiple days in recent trip to the Rockies and they were perfect for all my adventures and dining out.Ver másVer menos
