Amazing Tablet. Works like brand new!
I was a bit on the weary side ordering a device that was refurbished. My doubts disappeared when I started using the tablet. It arrived earlier that estimate and it came neatly in a box (with the seal removed since it was renewed of course). But the tablet itself did not look used at all! No scratches, or signs of wear or tear. Practically brand new for the price of something used. For the price, this tablet is perfect! I bought it for college but more specifically for note taking to replace paper notes and physical books. I wanted something with a large screen but the flagship brands were way too expensive. The FE choice was affordable for me and even more so, the renewed version's price was perfect!Note taking on this is great the pen feels smooth on the glass though which was a slight adjustment but so far, it's writes well. It emulates my natural hand writing on paper very well. There are paper like screen protectors out there so I'm sure that'll be a perfect thing if the glass feel is ever a major concern.I mostly use Bluetooth headphones but the speakers on this are loud! And the audio feels like it surrounds the room. The visuals on this tablet are pretty good for the price. Most devices I've used don't really have OLED screens so the LED screen this one has is not particularly jarring or of "bad quality" to me. The interface on the home screen and in apps when it comes to reading documents are crisp and sharp. I will say, you can notice that it's an LCD screen when watching videos on full screen. On YouTube, the visuals look good in HD but it's not as crisp since it's not OLED. But for my needs, it doesn't affect me because it's still decent quality and a decent watching experience. Just not as crisp as something from an expensive device that has OLED or Retina display. For the battery life, I was impressed! Especially being refurbished, I expected the battery life to be mediocre. Boy, was I wrong! You can get through the entire day without having to charge it on moderate use. I used it to watch lecture videos and take notes, do homework and stream some videos. From morning till after midnight it was still kicking at like 40%. And still had enough juice for the next morning. You can easily get 10 hours out of this at normal power settings. At least a day and a half if you're using low consumption settings and brightness in moderation. For charging I suggest getting a 40 watt power adapter separately since this tablet doesn't come with it. With this adapter, it charges my tablet pretty quickly. Goes up to 100 in under 1.5 hours and keep charge well. The speed of it is good. I can easily split the screen and watch videos on one side (because of the big screen), take notes on the other and still jump through apps with no lagging. I dont use it for gaming so I can't say from my experience if heavy duty games run smoothly but I have seen other reviews say they run decently at low gaming settings. If gaming is your thing maybe the flagship s9 tab will be better but you'll have to pay a lot for the better quality. The s pen is great. It comes with the tablet and doesn't need to charge which for me is perfect. It's very responsive and the tip is soft enough that it doesn't make any loud taps when using it on the tablet. It has a neat function where you can turn your writing into text which I find nice. I will say, sometimes it mixes up certain punctuations. It might mix up a "." For a "-". For the most part that's a non issue. If you're a student on a relatively tight budget, I couldn't recommend this enough. It's probably the smarter purchase in a great value device I have made. It probably won't go toe to toe with the flagship tablet but you get more than your money's worth for the price.Ver másVer menos
