Best thing I've purchased
We bought this a year+ ago and its been a game changer. We'd had the very pricey YouTube TV and couldn't justify it but wanted the local channels with the local news and weather and the ability to record them. We got a Google tv dongle which was a first step but same problem.We got the tablo on sale to try and never looked back. It is very easy to use and took very little time to hook up. And once set up we never had to worry about it again. There are no ongoing charges with it and the initial purchase is minimal. We can get a huge any of stations and can record them all and don't have to sit through a stupid amount of advertising. The picture quality is excellent and the unit is self is very small. It's extremely durable, we use it everyday and have never had any problems.We got the version with the antenna but decided to get a better, more recommended antenna which was also as easy to attach. The original one was fine too but a better antenna allows more channels to be picked up and clearer.We are lucky because we live midtown Kansas City and there are many TV channels close to us and in the neighboring region. But we pick up a good 60+ channels and the Tablo includes many channels and movies of its own.We got the 2 tuner version and that's been enough although given its versatility we probably would have purchased the 4 tuner version. There is plenty of storage for our shows as long as we delete a TV show after we watch it. It is also possible to attach an external hard drive to be able to save and keep a lot more shows and movies.This is such a game changer and we are able to get all the streaming services we want for less Price than just YouTube TV before.
