Good purchase for the price extremely powerful
Easy to set up via WPS. Plugged it in within about 3 ft if my router and it connected and synced up. Took it outside and put it in my garage where I needed it. It actually did extended and amplify my Wi-Fi signal that it was receiving. My previous repeater received about half signal strength and output half signal strength. The tp-links ax3000 had about the same 50% in for both 2.4 and 5 g, but output full strength on both channels. My ring camera systems respond almost immediately and I am connected to my outdoor generator. which before was only getting anywhere from 18 to 26% signal. Now I get a steady 46% signal. I'm able to use the dual band out in the garage 5G for my TV stereo setup and 2.4 for all the other appliances and cameras. Can't speak much for the durability as of yet but it seems pretty sturdy. One issue I had that drove me crazy for a while was I couldn't get the 5G to connect on the router side even though I had a strong 5G output signal from the extender. Turns out it was operator error, I had added an extra space in front of my 5G login password to my router. Removed that space and everything worked like a charm. For the price I definitely recommend it.Ver másVer menos

Excellent Wi-Fi 6 Range Extender – Seamless Coverage and Speed!
I recently purchased the TP-Link AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 Range Extender (model RE715X), and I’m extremely satisfied with its performance. From the moment I unboxed it, the setup was incredibly easy — it took only a few minutes to get everything connected and running using the TP-Link Tether app.Pros:* **Blazing Fast Speeds:** The dual-band support (5 GHz up to 2402 Mbps and 2.4 GHz up to 574 Mbps) provides excellent speed and coverage throughout my home. Streaming in 4K, online gaming, and large file downloads are now completely seamless.* **Wi-Fi Dead-Zone Killer:** This extender truly eliminates dead zones. I used to have weak signals in the basement and upstairs bedrooms, but now the signal is strong and reliable in every corner of the house.* **Wi-Fi 6 Support:** The latest Wi-Fi 6 technology ensures a future-proof network with better efficiency, especially when multiple devices are connected.* **OneMesh Compatibility:** If you have a TP-Link router that supports OneMesh, this extender integrates beautifully into your existing network for seamless roaming.* **Great Design:** The sleek and modern look with external antennas also helps in better signal strength and blends in well with home decor.Cons:So far, none. It performs exactly as advertised and exceeds expectations.Final Thoughts:If you’re looking to extend your Wi-Fi coverage without sacrificing speed or reliability, the TP-Link RE715X is a top-tier choice. It works with any Wi-Fi router and brings excellent value with the benefits of Wi-Fi 6. Highly recommended!Ver másVer menos

works perfectly, no more drop-outs.
Like most homes, my home has a bad spot toward the back, right where my man-cave is.I placed this where the signal was still good, it boosted coverage, and the coverage is seamless. No ".ext", my devices stay connected to my network without needing to jump to a subnetwork.Setup was a snap, and it works so well I often forget its there (which is how it should be).Ver másVer menos

Does the job, not perfect
Frist off, this is a capable device and is working fine for our purposes. We use it as an access point since we have an ethernet cable run from one side of the house where the main router is to the other side.Overall, the signal has been a noticeable improvement over the AC1200 Netgear that we were previously using. The speeds rates have for the most part doubled over the older access point.Things I don't like. The power plug is on the lower end of the back. For our purposes, this makes it too big to put upright normally where it is plugged in due to a window. So I have it upside down. Seems to work just fine like that after adjusting the antennae.Speaking of which, the antennae only go up and down and not to the side. This does not seem to make a difference, but I cannot test it either way. So I will throw that up in the air.One other thing that I don't love is that TP Link is really pushing to get the app on your phone just like every other product out there nowadays. I personally will not install any apps unless absolutely necessary and I even have a cheapo tablet in those cases using a dummy account (sorry for the aside). However, you can log directly into the extender and change the passwords, adjust the strength and then change it to an access point if you need. So I can not be too nasty about this. The info is there, but it is not the focus.Design overall is meh. I have this behind a plant so it is not too big of a deal. However, I think this looks like the face of a Transformer (ie; Autobots Transformers) when right side up. My older access point looked a little better, but not by much.Overall, I am getting what I need out of this device and the signal has been overall stable.Ver másVer menos

Seems To Work After An Initial Hassle
I have fiber from the local electrical co-op. I have the lowest speed which is plenty. The problem is the router supplied. It's a Calix which is a brand that apparently you can't go out and just buy and is kind of unique. It's kind of locked down and proprietary in some way. I do not particularly like the router but it mostly works well. I say mostly because we put a new 85" Sony Bravia HDTV about 50 ft. away and through several walls one of which is partially brick. The new Sony has comments about being both picky and more range challenged than most newer Samsungs. This immediately became a problem as I would be watching and the wi-fi connection would frequently drop.Reading about this device I felt like it would be my least expensive possible solution that would allow me to keep the Calix. My first hassle was getting this unit to connect to my Calix router wirelessly. The first attempt was by using my M3 Apple laptop. This was never really an option which I found out after wasting my time looking and trying for any way to avoid using my 2021 Motorola Edge phone. So, I knew it was down to the Android App for this TP-Link product. BTW, I had this repeater close to the TV and still a ways from the Calix router. The Android App could never find my Wi-Fi Calix radios. If I'd read more carefully I would have realized it's recommended to setup to place the repeater next to my wireless Calix router. I did this and still no joy. I then read that it's recommended to do a hard reset if the software doesn't identify the existing home network. Finally, after a reset and having the repeater close to my Wi-Fi network router the network was observed. Like mentioned previously, it saw the two radio (2.4 and 5Ghz) signals and the app allowed me to keep their respective names. Now I thought I was set. Not so, however. The repeater was still too far for the Sony TV's internal Wi-Fi receiver. At this time there was one thing, it seemed, left to do. I took the repeater out of the AC socket closest to my Calix wireless router and took it to the end of the house closest to actual TV set. Bingo, this worked! So far it seems robust enough this way. Time will tell at this point I think. The first weekend of watching college football on Fubo was almost a complete success with just one or two interruptions regarding the Wi-Fi signal. It quickly reconnected and seemed to get better. I'm giving it three-stars because I feel there should be no interruptions and it should be somewhat less finicky to install. Hopefully now it is going to be what I had hopped for.

Treat yo self to a great router
Spend the extra money and get this range extender you’ll be glad you did. I should have bought this one instead of going with a cheaper option the first time.My house has multiple Smart TVs, Alexa devices, phones, tablets, and Govee outdoor lights, and this extender has made a noticeable difference. The signal is much more reliable, and everything stays connected without the random dropouts I used to have.If you’re building a smart home with lots of connected devices, don’t cut corners. Treat your home to a quality Wi-Fi extender like this one. It has been well worth the investment.Ver másVer menos
