I love this toothbrush!
I always forget to write reviews after I buy stuff on Amazon. I should try to do it more because it is helpful when you find a review that is real.So, I bought this toothbrush to replace another brand that I bought about a year and a half ago. The old toothbrush just wasn't doing a good job at cleaning my teeth. I have always had problems with cavities and plaque build-up. The only sure-fire way of getting all of the plaque for me was to use Plax prior to brushing. Still, I find myself in the dentist's office every six months with a hygienist jack-hammering my mouth with water pick to get my teeth clean. It's embarrassing and it makes me feel anxious about my gum health. I saw the Oral-B iO Series 3 here on Amazon and it was discounted. According to Oral-B it is really good at getting rid of plaque. I took the manufacturer at their word, and bought it. Holy crap, ya'll! This thing is amazing!The iO3 has a round brush head similar to the polishing tool your dental hygienist uses. I've used cheaper Oral-B electric toothbrushes that also have round heads, but they weren't as robust as the brush head on the iO3. The bristles aren't hard, but they are dense and arranged in a way that they can hug your teeth while brushing. You can get that brush on every surface of each tooth (except directly between the teeth, of course). The motorized handle has a pressure sensor that changes color based on how hard or soft you are pressing. If you get it just right, it lights up green.The iO3 also helps you time your brushing so that you the recommended two minutes. It pulses when it's time to change to a different quadrant. It doesn't automatically shut off when the two minutes are up, however. That's fine with me as I will just continue brushing other parts of my mouth like my tongue and the roof of my palette when I'm done with my teeth.There are supposedly three types of brushing settings to choose from, but I have only used the default cleaning setting. The other two setting are supposed to be for sensitive teeth and whitening. The default works just fine for me.The build is solid and feels good in my hands. I like that the handle comes with two brush heads, a travel case, and case for the brush heads. I like to take my brush head off and put it in the case after I'm finished just because I'm paranoid about having a toothbrush exposed in the bathroom. It's nice to have the option to shield it from germs.So, TLDR, this is a great electric toothbrush. My teeth haven't felt this clean since the last time I went to the dentist. Oral-B did a fantastic job of designing a product that makes brushing easy and will almost certainly result in you having a positive visit at the dentist, and may help reverse gum issues and prevent cavities. I definitely recommend you buy this product if you are in the market for an electric toothbrush.Ver másVer menos
