Good, plus tips
It works as intended. It definitely solved the stick drift accumulated by a 4 years of play (dead zone at max for both controllers). Here’s some tips when you end up replacing the module:The hardest part is getting the second ribbon cable in the grip back in. (This is right after you tighten the motherboard back in after you put the new joystick module in)Patience is your friend, especially for the last tip.Spend as little time keeping the new joystick exposed to air. Leave it out and there will be enough time for dust and crap to get in the joystick, giving you slight stick drift. Lucky though, dead zones can fix it. But make sure to put the joystick cap back on as quick as you can.Don’t strip screws, especially major ones. I stripped a screw that is in the battery compartment that acts as a major point to keep the side in place by over tightening it. Don’t be like me.Don’t lose screws, especially major ones. I lost a long silver screw that also acted as a major point to keep, I believe the motherboard or the grip in. Don’t be like me.The screwdriver magnet is very weak and your screw head can fall out easy. Some screws have awkward angles to unscrew/screw from. You might have to only use one screwdriver head.If you end up destroying, or will want to destroy the battery sticker if you are too lazy to put it back in, take pictures of the controller serial number (in a corner under a QR code).Anyway, this should guaranteed fix your drift issues.Ver másVer menos

Easy and cheap way to fix controllers!!!
The blue torque screwdriver with the extra bits alone was worth the purchase, the tweezers also worked great. I used this kit to swap out the thumb sticks, from a used pair of quest 3 controllers I got for cheap, when piecing together a used Quest 3 512gb kit. While initially buying this kit to replace the thumbsticks, that has stick drift, I also decided to replace the Quest controller faces with clear replacements, which help with tracking, and the thumbstick caps with red metal ones. Some advice: doing the swap is easy, buy make sure you peel of the stickers in the battery compartment of the controllers, there's 4 screws there. Don't go to deep when prying the controller covers off, they're only held on with Adhesive, once you get enough of a gap started. There's 5 screws that hold the main circuit board to the controller, the middle most screw is the long screw, all other screws are the same size, each ribbon cable has a tab holding it locked in, there should be 3 cables in total, one being the tiny ribbon cable that connects the thumbsticks to the circuit board. The toughest parts are taking the face off, just take your time with the blue triangle tool, and putting the battery ribbon cable back into its slot, you must pop open the bottom half of the controller to give enough leverage to reconnect the cable, everything else is easy.Ver másVer menos

Good. A slimmer screw driver would have been better.
Appear to be functional after installation, fixed my drift issue. Good kit HOWEVER, the provided screw driver is a bit bulky and may not be able to reach the first couple T5 screws without pressing rather hard on the plastic controller ring. Also, the kit provides 5 driver bits (Philips and torque, various sizes) although the controller only uses T5 screws, be sure you're using the right one.Otherwise, the kit provides everything for a repair following iFixIt.Also, the sticks are not identical to the stock ones (most notably, the stock ones use a spring exterior to the assembly) but they still fit fine.Ver másVer menos

Definitely recommend
So I'd struggling with stick drift in my quest 2 controllers for a long ass time, and finally decided to get this to do something about it. I followed the video of how to replace the joysticks, and put the controller back together. Then after testing them out in my favorite VR game, it absolutely worked like a charm. Now admittedly, the installation was pretty nerve wracking, but I managed to do it without issue. Definitely worth the money if you want a more long term fix for your driftVer másVer menos

Not that great.
First, these arrived used. The packaging for them was already opened like they’d been installed once and then returned. They aren’t an EXACT replacement as they are missing the joystick return springs, but they do fit and function. The left stick was 10° off to the left and required a small dead zone placement. The right stick was only 3° off to the left but required a much much larger dead zone placement. The tools sent to use were very cheap quality. The T5 head somehow stripped, despite using it properly, and would have required me to purchase a new one if I didn’t already have another. The pry tool likewise bent to near uselessness.Save the trouble and purchase a little more quality set.Ver másVer menos

Perfect.
Honestly great. My Q2 Joysticks were giving out after thousands of hours of use between myself, siblings, and friends. While Meta certainly doesn’t make it easy to open anything up, the process took me around an hour or so, and even years later, they’re still working great. Worth the price, plus you get some cool tools to use, if you need to ever use them again.Ver másVer menos
