Good out of box!
Compares well to a wired, COMMERCIAL system I use! I connected to a Laboratory quality regulated power supply at 12.5-13vdv. System started right up. I had to connect power and ACC wires for system to power up. They can be tied to same + source and the display will turn off display only and power stays on, to retain settings of time and camera / record settings, perhaps for the video recording Wiring included has long run, to reach aft of trailer 2/10 meter and 1/20 meter cables so should fit most applications. Cables are of good quality. I will wrap with silicone waterproofing tape at each external connection. Layout for cameras should be done by placing along the ground. Each camera cable must run from the display harness separately requiring at least a 3/4” access hole for passing all 4 cables. Default for video clips is brief, I do not recall an “setting” on Menu to adjust. Easy to playback on the display when desired. The files should be viewable on a PC/MAC, however, turn off and disconnect the display cable prior to ejecting the memory card. IR illumination appears adequate. There is a slight “click” noticeable in the side cameras when the camera senses low light. This causes no issue. The mount bracket will need to be secured well as button force must be deliberate. You can adjust the angle up and down but cannot turn. Observation at side angle is better than my commercial system display.even with polarized lenses. The only problem, a broken retention tab on the sunscreen, support is resolving. You will need a battery for the remote. With the remote you can adjust brightness and I think volume, basic things you don’t need to touch usually, still, should be sufficient. I placed Velcro to the remote and will place at a handy spot in my truck. If you live in the southern area of USA or travel there, having the monitor/display in a shaded area as its temp will exceed design limit around 150F. Direct sun on cameras is unavoidable, therefore I cannot provide info on camera performance. Contact to “support” folks is via email requiring 8-24 hours for 3 past questions. For modern trucks, finding a location for individual “trigger” sources will be difficult requiring digging into your vehicle wiring schematic. Good purchase at this time.Ver másVer menos

Bent over backwards to help
This product is well built. The seller delivered the product as promised. Unfortunately it was damaged during shipping. I did connect all of the cameras to the monitor and it did show very clear picture. Unfortunately it kept rebooting every time it was nudged. I'm returning it but I will be ordering a new one as I couldn't order just the monitor.I ordered another one because I felt like the first one was a good build and perfect for what I needed for. I'm going to be hooking it up this weekend.I recieved the new system and installed it. Worked for 3 days and flickers on and off now. Very disapointed.Update, I fixed this issue. I am a CCTV installer. It took me quite a while to install the system as I'm recovering from a motorcycle crash.So these are the cameras that I paid $350 for so I can see at night outside. I'm so disappointed. I bought these for the motorhome in the picture and I am really pissed off that I have no night vision, the whole reason that I bought them. I am disabled and I thought if I could see outside of my motorhome when I parked at night that it would help me to be safe. To screens are almost pitch black as you can see in the pictures . This is the first time, since I bought the system, that I'm in an actually dark area. This is not going to work to keep me safe when I park in very dark areas.And the instructions that come with the system are the worst I've ever seen. And the system automatically wants to shut off every time I turn it on and there's no way that I have found to disable that.Update 7-5-24- the last two pictures are outside my motorhome in a very dark place. The employees sent me another set of cameras.At this point I most definitely will not be buying from this brand again, Douxury. The employees did the best they could but unfortunately there cameras are lacking night vision. I do believe that they are going to correct this in the future. They ended up giving me a refund and did not ask for the two sets of cameras back. Probably too expensive to send them back.I couldn't be happier and now I can purchase night vision cameras.Ver másVer menos

Makes driving easier & safer
I rate this a 5, which I rarely do, because of the customer service. I asked a ton of questions before I purchased which were always answered politely and quickly. As I purchased this to compensate for the blind spots in a van with no windows I needed rear facing side cameras. I was sent replacement cameras for the forward facing side camera quickly for no charge. Something you rarely see these days.Installation it is relatively easy. I was a bit intimidated at first but had no troubles for the most part. The hiccups I encountered were due to my own stupidity, lack of a short screwdriver and a second pair of hands. All of which were easily rectified as I encountered them. Honestly, the only thing that gave me pause was the moment I had to drill a large hole into the van for the mount. However, any concern with leaks was rectified with silicone tape and lots of silicone caulking. There was a review on here of “expect a lot of soldering”. I don’t know what that was about. The only soldering I can see necessary is the soldering of the power cable to the cigarette lighter cord. There are optional leads that automatically make the corresponding view full size when you turn on your blinker, break, etc. That would produce extra soldering but as I did want to mess with the van’s engine/electronics it didn’t come into play.I chose this configuration due to the reason for purchase - safety. I considered wireless but between potential signal lag/interruption at a critical moment and the fact you have to wire the power for wireless anyway I went with wired camera. Running the wires for the camera is the easiest part of the installation.The cameras are solidly built and the resolution is good. The only issue I had with front/back camera is the cord is run outside the mounting bracket’s center hole. As I wanted to use silicone tape to improve the water seal I needed to use the center mount hole. This necessitated unscrewing the camera from the mount to feed the cord thru the mount’s center hole. This is where my stupidity came in – I reassembled it up side down. If you do this take note of the position of the green dot and reassemble appropriately.The monitor has a good resolution and I love the fact it has a glare shield around it. I notice a very slight ¼” vertical rainbow line that goes from one side to the other. However, unless your staring at the screen you don’t notice it. Additionally, from my experience with customer service I have no doubt they will replace the monitor if something goes wrong with it.If your looking for a camera system to reduce stress while driving, improve safety and provide evidence in case of an accident I highly recommend this unit. It’s more expensive than a simple rearview mirror mount and involves more work installing. However, it’s not overly complicated to install and provides 360 degree coverage. Additionally, a rearview mirror camera does absolutely nothing about blind spots. The area that is most likely to involve an accident. This is well worth the price and time of installation.All the items I used for the installation were purchased from Amazon. Great product and service Too
I have installed the camera system in my GMC 3500 savanna box truck May 2019. It was easy to install and functions very well. With a large box on the back of the truck, I needed more viewing from the sides and the back of the vehicle. Found a bracket on Amazon to attach it right to my dash so it is easy to view. Great product and at the right price for my small business.About 10 months later one of my side camera's started to flicker. They supported their 365 Day replacement warranty, by sending and shipping me a replacement Model 740 side camera absolutely free. Installed and all is working 100% again. Very happy with product and the safety of viewing it brings when driving a larger vehicle.Ver másVer menos

Check what it is ACTUALLY recording
Mixed results:Good:1) I really like the look and Feel of the monitor. It actually has a rubbery feel to it than is very nice and does not show fingerprints like some other cases. It feels substantial.2) The buttons are very clearly marked, feel good, are very well lit, and the channel selection is direct.3) The sun hood is good sized and solidly built as part of the front face.4) Mounting bracket is strong, well designed.5) Discovered that the unit records audio. I suspect this is from the monitor itself, but have not checked futher.6) on the Monitor (note my wording) the Camera images are wide and excellent qualityMarginal:1) The manual leaves a lot to be desired. It does not quite match what the unit is doing or sometimes makes little sense.2) Item 4.3.3 "Shrink the Video" has NO explanation at all. I think this may be the culprit for a major problem listed later on.3) It only records video in 3 minute increments.. so you get a LOT of files to work your way through.NOT GOOD:1) Customer service.- A) I sent a detailed email asking for them to send me the SD card, Battery, and to have the extended warranty.- B I asked SPECIFIC questions about the unit and issues with the menu- C I asked if they had other units / options available-------> What I got was NO Answers or acknowledgement of my request for the the SD Card and Battery, and have not received either-------> I got NO Answers to any of my other questions-------> What I did get was an Obvious Canned message "that we are there for you with great service, ask any questions. Yeah, right... HORRIBLE response.I am going to try getting decent and correct answers from them again when I have time. Right now I will just have to deal with it.VERY BAD:Check your SD card!I was curious if it was actually using All of the capacity of the card, so after days of recording shut down the unit via the power Switch and pulled the card. Not pleased with what I found.1) did not use the entire capacity of the card2) The Front camera was recording full width (with audio)3) Back camera was recording (with audio) a narrow format (like the side view image.. but I was on full Quad View)4) BOTH the Left and Right camera were recording audio... but NO Video.I had tested with a small SD card earlier (8G that I had on hand).. And when They never sent an SD card, I went and bought a Very good 128G that I use. The earlier SD card had the Front and Back recording full width, and the Left and Right narrow.I suspect this has to do with something in the Menu settings - like the unexplained "Shrink the Video" or some other interaction between menu items.I will be testing this out more and will update this if a) they actually contact me b) I figure out the problems.Right now it's only value to me is the camera and display ... the DVR function I do NOT trust.
