Joys and Sorrows
It's a joy to read another marvelously inventive book by Carlos Ruiz Zafón; it's a sorrow to realize there'll never be another. This posthumous collection of short stories should appeal to the millions of readers who have come to know and love one of the most creative of contemporary writers, and it could also serve as an excellent introduction to those meeting him for the first time. Upon finishing the book, I felt a desire to read through the Cemetery of Forgotten Books cycle again. The book is magical, whimsical, perceptive, and poignant -- all qualities that made Ruiz Zafón the treasure he was and that he continues to be through the phantasmagoric books he left us.Ver másVer menos
