2 years later its still working
Honestly it does what its meant to do😂 I've had it 2 years now with no issues. Cable works like brand new and the quality is chef's kiss.

One-way
This device only works one way. If you forget, destinations are on the connectors for reminding. I'm going the opposite direction of many users with two monitors on one computer. I now have two computers on one monitor courtesy of this cable. One computer is a new Windows 11 system, while the other computer is a 10-year-old non-updatable Windows 10 system. The only reason for the old computer remaining is that it has the ability for CD games that don't work on the new computer (not even with an optical drive). Thanks, Benfei for making this possible.Ver másVer menos

Works With Windows 11
Just bought a new computer with Windows 11 and used this adapter to connect my VGA port on my PC to an HDMI port on my monitor. Windows 11 recognizes it as "Display 1" and my built-in HDMI port as "Display 2". No software or drivers needed to be installed. The audio worked just fine with the adapter. The video looks good, but it is slightly darker than the built-in HDMI port. That's not a problem since I just bumped up the brightness on my monitor to accommodate the difference. There is a one or two second delay for the video to initially appear on the monitor. In Windows 11 (Settings / System / Display) I changed my primary display to be the built-in HDMI port. I then had to go into the settings (Settings / System / Sound) and change the default audio device to be my built-in HDMI port. Otherwise, the sound would continue to play from my secondary monitor with the VGA adapter attached. This is a cheap and easy way to do a dual monitor setup without opening your computer and adding a graphics card.Ver másVer menos

very good signal quality
My older computer has only VGA output, but the TV I use as a monitor doesn't have VGA input. This adapter is perfect for making the transition to a monitor that is large enough to see easily (the TV). The signal quality is very good.

Great out of the box
This works great right out of the box, on both Windows and Linux, no extra tweaks required. Works with a docking station and has great picture quality.
