OUTSTANDING AS USUAL....A 10 STAR READ!!!!**********
This book had everything!!! It was an absolutely outstanding, riveting, engrossing and wonderful read!!!! I loved every second of it!!! I deliberately tried to "slow down" my reading speed because I didn't want it to end! I held off until the weekend to read it as my special treat for myself and I am so glad did I because I have learned with the Fatal Series that once you start reading you don't want to stop so I was finishing up the book at 3:45AM in the morning and it was worth every minute of lost sleep! 😁😊😃 ... As usual the suspense and drama, cleverly executed twists and turns just built up and up until I was on pins and needles to see what happened next. There were definitely moments where my heart was in my throat with concern and others were there were tears in my eyes at heartwarming moments!I don't know how Marie Force does it but I always start her books like I am reading just any other author's book but by the time I am halfway through the first chapter I am hooked due to the fact that her books are written in such an amazing and enthralling way! The storyline in this book was so good... It was wonderful to meet up with Sam, Nick, and Scotty again and all of the other great people that populate this series.... I love every one of them as if they were real live people and was so glad to hear all about them again. I have re-read this entire series twice and am still enchanted with all of their ups and downs, challenges and triumphs, banter, friendships, loyalty, love and support for each other!!!! I highly recommend this book and the entire series... I have spent many enjoyable hours reading the Fatal Series and I guarantee that you cannot find a more interesting and enjoyable series!!!😇Ver másVer menos

Another great adventure with Sam and Nick
Let's face it, Marie is an extremely gifted and talented author and she really knocks it out of the park with this book. Another brillant story about our favorite couple Sam and Nick. You'll enjoy the adventure Marie takes you on with this story as Sam continues to nagivate her world as a homocide Lt. in the DC police department and her other job as 2nd Lady. I've read the entire series and I think what's nice about this book is the character development of Sam; she seems more mature and giving in the aftermath of losing her father. Sam pulls at the threads of a grizzly murder in DC while juggling motherhood and family obligations. I know this seems vague, but I don't want to write too much because when you get to the end think WTF and OH YEAH at the same time!Well written and fast paced; the characters are well rounded and such fun to read. This is a must read - if you haven't read the series yet you should, but you can still read and enjoy this excellent story.Ver másVer menos

Wonderful end to this series
Series are great to me, reading about all that’s happening to the characters. This series is especially interesting because all the characters are involved in each book. I love that Gonzo gets to have his story and the sadness and struggles he’s dealt with and he gets his HEA. I really had no idea who the killer was in this till the end and it’s not as shocking as it should be that people are so greedy. So at the ending of this series it begins the next with the same characters involved. Can’t wait to start!PS, with a series this long it could do without detailing what happened in the previous book, it’s more like unnecessary filler to be skipped overVer másVer menos

Beyond Amazing! Sam & Nick are always a thrill ride!
I love the Fatal series! Sam and Nick, all their friends and coworkers are an amazing group to continue learning more about with each new book.This book sees us watch Sam track down the killer of a woman who defrauded her friends, family and their families of millions of dollars. Everyone wished this woman dead so the list of people with a motive is in the hundreds. Sam is at her badass best as she tackles receptionist, and everyone else in her way to solving the newest murder in the Capitol. The zany bickering between her and Freddie is as on point as ever, the loving moments between Sam & Nick are as sweet and spicy as we’ve come to expect and Scotty is just plain amazing.The only downside to finishing this book is now having to wait 6 months for the next chapter in this special family’s world and the world that they live and work within. Marie Force just isn’t capable of writing anything less than an amazing 5 star experience for her readers ...well really a 10 star experience if they’d let us rate that high!Ver másVer menos

A homicide case, where everyone seems to be happy the victim is dead.
The 16th book (not including novellas) in this wonderful series. If you're a fan of J.D. Robb's in Death series, you should love these. While each case Sam investigates is solved within the book, the personal lives of Sam, Nick, their family, friends and co-workers continue throughout the series, there will be spoilers if read out of order.The story opens with Sam, Nick and a few other people are being taken by Nick's Secret Service detail to visit Gonzo, who's in rehab. On the way there is a discussion regarding an FBI case making headlines, a woman bilked millions from family, friends, parents of her children's friends. Now the FBI is looking for the money.Gonzo advises them he's taking a plea deal regarding his purchase of street drugs, Sam is ticked off and intends to find an alternate solution that will not kill Gonzo's career.On the group's return journey, Sam receives a phone call, she has a new homicide case. As it happens, the newest victim is none other than the woman they were discussing on the trip.As Sam, Freddie and the homicide team investigate, they find nobody is sorry she's dead, her greed destroyed lives, leading to a suicide, destroying a marriage, the only question on everyone's mind, where is the money?Meanwhile, Nick is being pressured to declare his candidacy to be the next president of the USA. Sam has suggested and with Dr. Trulo help is starting a grief group for victims of violent crime. Suspense series with steamy romance & wonderful characters
In Fatal Fraud, Sam is tracking down who murdered a woman who has committed fraud against those closest to her. A hard case to solve since she scammed so many people and the common thought is that she got what she deserved. So many people had a reason and I changed my mind as to who did it many times. Nick shines in his dad role and having him get what he’s always wanted, his own family, is a great look on him. He also makes a major decision on his political career. Sam’s newly formed grief group gives us a quick update of some previous survivors of homicide victims. I remember all of the them and it was one of my favorite parts of this book. A wonderful suspense series with steamy romance and fantastic cast of characters.NOTE: This is a continuing series that should be read in order. Can never get enough of Sam and Nick
I have read this series from the beginning and always the next book. This series never gets old and we get to see Sam and Nick find each other, fall in love, and build their family while solving crimes for Sam and being a politician for Nick. Fatal Fraud is another excellent story where we get to find out what's going on in the lives of Sam, Nick, their family, and friends and colleagues.A beloved sergeant comes back after getting the help he needs and trying to continue his life working with the department and building his personal life. Sam and team gets a murder to solve where the victim was also a criminal who stole from friends, family, kids' friends parents, etc. She was not liked and there were plenty of motives - the few hundreds of people she stole from. No one seems to be sad that she's dead but Sam and her team must try to solve the murder since that is their duty. Nick finally comes to a decision about his future and what he wants to do after being VP. Everyone seems to have an opinion but Nick decides to do what he feels is best for him and his loved ones.Sam and her family celebrate the first Thanksgiving without her dad after she and her team solves the murder. Thanksgiving brings about a few surprises that I don't think anyone saw coming. I can't wait for the next book....I want to know what's going to happen next!!!!Ver másVer menos

It just keeps getting better
If you're a fan of this author and particularly of her Fatal series of books, you were anxiously waiting for this book. As with all of her books you won't be able to put it down until the last page is read and then you'll be disappointed there isn't more and you'll have to wait months until the next book.You'll enjoy spending time with Sam Holland as she and her team tackle their next homicide with its seemingly endless list of suspects. You'll enjoy the sarcastic quips between Sam and her partner Freddie and you'll cheer on Tommy as he makes a comeback. You'll get to know her latest team member as he jumps in and proves to be a valuable contributor. And then you'll be pleased when Sam's workday ends and you can read how she interacts with Nick, her husband and Vice President of the United States and how Nick and Sam together parent their growing family.The story wouldn't be complete if we didn't also spend time with Nick in his role as VP. Will he finally accept his parties nomination to run for president? How will Sam handle his decision, whatever it is? Amazing, full of shocks right to the end!
OMG OMG OMG. I cannot say it enough. I was not expecting that ending. This book was a great continuation of the series, we see how Nick and Sam deal with the fallout of the rude reporter, how Tommy deals with leaving rehab and who kills a woman with hundreds of suspects. This book is so full of surprises that just keep going right to the end. I cannot believe I have to wait for April for the next book. So not fair, a small taste won't keep me going. Well just finished reading this awesome book. Loved it. Would recommend Fatal Fraud and the whole Fatal series. Sam, Nick and all there family and friends make such a wonderful team that you wish that you could be included in their inner circle.Marie Force has such an articulate style and the characters so alive that you become immersed in the story.
