Great caterpillars!
My 4 year old son is in love with all Eric Carle books. So it only felt right to get him some caterpillars of his own. I am very grateful for the note they came with, explaining transit can leave them very still for a bit and that the webbing silk means happy campers. Cause I totally would have thrown them out thinking they were dead on arrival. 😂 They were not! All 10 made it beautifully to adulthood. Then my son decided that was their home and did not want to release them 🤦♀️ Our town was completely out of all potential host plants in the right size so we had to get creative. But the butterflies, all named Happy, lived to their full lifespan capacity, in captivity. The caterpillars were all named Brownie. They were happy and healthy on arrival and stayed that way. My husband may have been even more excited by their life cycle than my son. 😆The adult butterflies were the perfect size and super sweet with letting my son hold them. All the "Happy"s will be missed. But as you can see in the last picture, will not be forgotten.Great fun for kids, super easy to care for. This company does a great job of giving just the right amount of information about the caterpillars and butterflies. I plan each spring to bless our home with more butterflies from this company. Maybe one year my son will let us release them to our garden 😂Ver másVer menos
