I'm a power user and enjoy working on great equipment. This laptop delivers. Expensive, but worth it. Excellent cooling capability and bests most notebooks in a portable package. This system replaced an Alienware 17 R5 which was much heavier, bulkier, warmer, and louder. I was a little concerned about going from a 4K display to a 1080p 300Hz display, but I'm very happy with my selection. I had a few applications that didn't scale well on 4K, and this display looks fantastic.I added a Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB secondary drive and upgraded the memory to 32GB with Kingston HyperX Impact, both from Amazon. I have a 12 virtual system lab configuration running on Hyper-V and performance is surprisingly impressive.Ver másVer menos

Extremely Slow and Unstable WiFi out of the box
To start off, I REALLY want to love this laptop. the build quality and display are absolutely stunning. Great 10th gen CPU and the RTX 2080 SUPER is blazing fast. Unfortunately it's been an absolute nightmare getting WiFi running properly. I have a $200 chromebook next to me that gets almost twice the speed on my 5ghz network. Most of the time on the Razer i get around 60-90mbps when I should be getting about 170-190mbps.. Often the speed will randomly just slow down to about 1mbps. I have tried reinstalling drivers, tweaking driver settings, etc. and still no improvement. I'm going to have to return this if I can't get support to iron things out for me.Beware before purchasing!Ver másVer menos

It's the little things
Con: I have 1 very big issues with the laptop I received. The first being the fact that the screen cannot stay on with the charger unplugged. I've tried different battery and display drivers, tried "Recalibrating" the charge sensor as suggested by reddit, and tried adjusting power saving settings. Since I use it mostly for gaming this is fine since it's just known that gaming laptops should be plugged in while in heavy use. But if I need to move around the house working with roommates, it's plenty annoying to have to carry around the charger.Part of the reason I even got a laptop was for taking with me out to sea, but it looks like this Razer won't be cut out for that. If this is simply due to a defective battery, I don't know, but Reddit implies I'm not alone in the issue.Pro: Everything else, the laptop so far has been amazing in performance, with some games it heats up quite a bit but a fan pad more than solves that issue.The charger has overheated to the point of shutting off, which wouldn't be a massive issue except that the screen blacks out without it. On that note I can't vouch for battery life due to it being a very expensive mousepad without the plug.Meh 4/5Ver másVer menos

Worth it...
I spent the last couple of months going back and forth, reading and watching reviews, checking out pricing. I have used Surface's, Dells, HP's, Macbook Pro's, and even MSI gaming laptops. Knowing this computer was on the expensive end left me tentative. Well I finally bought it and could not be happier. The fit and finish is very high quality. It has proven quite capable and I like how easy it is to customize. Pretty much the only drawback I could find was the lack of a number pad but even with that missing I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend this laptop to anyone interested.Ver másVer menos
