Excellent Battery Life, Lightweight, Fast, Good Price - Excellent Value! Would Highly Recommend!
This is a very balanced office laptop that has an excellent battery life. Microsoft Office, Web browsers, and almost any web app that I have tried on it runs great. Everything is fast! The battery life is great as well I am able to easily get 8-11 hours when web browsing and using Microsoft Office (Excel mostly). I really love how lightweight this is without compromising the performance too much. There definitely are better and faster processors out there but this is a very happy cross between excellent battery life, good performance, lightweight, and good price.I needed a laptop that I could take anywhere, use for a full day without having to worry about charging it. This is great at that.I don't know how good this will be at complex modern games, complex video editing, 3D modeling, and/or CAD. I don't use this laptop for any of those things. I expect it to handle games like Fortnite fine but struggle with more complex games like Metro Exodus.Pros+ Quad Core CPU with 8 threads+ Fast SSD drive+ 8 GB RAM, It is user Upgradeable! (Too many Laptops now days don't have this!). This is enough RAM for now, it should be more than enough for most users.+ 10 to 11+ hours of battery life (Office type applications & Web Browsing)+ Lightweight+ Good Size/Dimensions (in terms of width, height, depth) I can put it into any bag and easily take it where ever I am going.+ MSI Includes a Free Laptop sleeve - nice touch when companies are including less things with there items.+ Good Screen, bright enough for most uses+ Good build quality, the screen feels a little flexible but overall very nice build+ Windows Pro (I need some Pro features, and this saved me $100)Not a Pro or a Con- Although the Ethernet port isn't built into the laptop MSI does provide a USB Gigabit Ethernet adapter (very nice touch). I wish they included a hideaway built-in Ethernet port like what Fujitsu does. More and more companies are taking away the Ethernet port so I can't really fault MSI, at least they included a Free Adapter, which no one else really does.Cons- Webcam placement isn't great, it is placed at the bottom of the screen rather than the top so it can be an odd picture angle.I wish it had...- More RAM, at least 16GB included. I do believe that you can install a 16GB in place of the 8GB stickWould Highly Recommend to most users who don't need a laptop for complex modern games (i.e. Metro Exodus), complex video editing (i.e. Adobe Premiere), 3D work (i.e. 3ds Max, Maya), and/or CAD (i.e. AutoCAD).I was waiting for a good Ryzen 3rd Gen laptop but almost everything Ryzen 3rd gen I saw had some type of an issue like bad screens (Asus), build quality issues (Acer), too expensive/not in stock (HP).If you need a Laptop with good battery life, that is lightweight, is good sized (not too big and not too small), and is cheaper than most new phones than buy definitely consider this. Especially with the lack of good laptops due to the pandemic, this is an easy buy.Ver másVer menos
