Exact fit for 2012 Ford Escape
Though the product info does not confirm, the other reviewer is correct that this is an exact fit for a 2012 Ford Escape. Quick and easy to install without removing steering wheel. Lock cylinder was not fitting at first, but using a couple of flatheads I was able to depress the plastic pin at the bottom of the housing on the Dorman and move the slots into the proper position. Lock cylinder clicked right in. This part saved a bunch of money and completely fixed the ignition issues.Ver másVer menos

Great fit
Works great on my 2008 Mariner. The old one got to the point I couldn’t start the car anymore. Swapped it out with this one and it starts right up. Removal and installation took less than an hour. Just make sure you have a dremel or multi tool to help remove the main bolt on the old one.Ver másVer menos

Perfect replacement works great!
Replaced this on an older car. Perfect replacement and it makes such a difference I can't believe we didn't repair this sooner.

Fits 2011 Escape and an Easy Install
This is also a perfect fit for a 2011 Escape. Son-in-law was able to easily replace the housing and ignition switch in under an hour and a half in full sun and almost 100 degree heat. And this is on a vehicle with an OEM remote start installed at the dealership when purchased new. He said the Dorman is built much sturdier than the original and nothing unexpected came up. He did have to cut a slot in the original break-off bolt and use a screwdriver to remove it. Estimate at the shop was over $1,000. Not a perfect Fit on a 2009 FEH but remedies the ignition issue
The 5mm screw hole on my unit was not tapped, so attaching the turn signal housing proved difficult. Other than that, the unit works great and fixes the dreaded ignition issue. This was also the perfect time to install a new steering wheel as our leather wrapped OEM was dingy. I swapped for a vinyl OEM that can easily be cleaned. Note - the cruise control controls on my old steering wheel were opposite of the new one. Just popped out the old controls and swapped the new ones. Try doing that on a new vehicle! These older hybrids are gold. Easy to work on and parts are cheap.Ver másVer menos
