SECOND REVIEW: 14-Jun-2021 Reviewed in USA.SECOND BUY:MANUFACTURER: “FeelAtHome”PRODUCT NAME AND MANUFACTURER DESCRIPTION:“100% Cotton Pillow Protector with Zipper Waterproof Covers (Pack of 10, King) - Noiseless Pillowcase Encasement - Zippered Pillow Case Protectors”SECOND REVIEW TEXT:After six months of consistent use, WE ARE VERY HAPPY with this product.Hence, the second buy.WE CAN WHOLE HEARTEDLY CONFIRM the manufacturer’s claims of:•”HYPOALLERGENIC”(This is critical for us, as I have ASTHMA, as well as UPPER RESPIRATORY ISSUES There has been NO increase in symptoms, and it seems that the frequency of symptoms had performance of the pillow case protectors in support of their other claims, we are inclined to accept these statements on face value.As stated in the original review shown below,The fabric utilized in the fabrication of these protectors is a medium- heavy grade, 100% cotton sateen.ADDITIONALLY, we have observed:These claimed “100% Cotton pillow protectors” are also tagged as “100% Cotton”.The response to this statement is inclined to be “Oh, Really?” But personally, we have found that in recent years, advertised claims, such as “shrink resistant” in sales materials are a.) Hard to define. For example, what exactly is “shrink resistant”?b.) The claims are not necessarily indicated on any tag, such as “100% Cotton” on the product.Originally, these pillow protectors fit king size pillows easily and were of consistent size.The verification of this observation, was evident when these protectors were received.After six months of use, without having to follow any special washing instructions such as “Wash in Cold Water” or “Dry in Cool Cycle”, the quality and durability of these protectors has been proven by the lack of shrinkage and the overall appearance of these protectors.The zippers are of good quality, and have shown no signs of degradation or failure in the six months of use.While these pillow protectors are manufactured in China, that may or may not be a detriment to the quality of the product. The quality is a result of the production standards of the manufacturer.These pillow protectors are more expensive than average, but the increased cost has been justified by the quality and performance of this product, in our estimation.Review Date: 27-Jan-2021 Reviewed in USAThese pillow protectors are fabricated in China.The pillow protectors are advertised as hypoallergenic, waterproof protection against spills, fluids such as saliva and liquids. They are also represented as being antibacterial and dust mite resistant.The fabric is a medium- heavy grade, 100% cotton sateen. It is top quality material which is a pleasant surprise.Many pillow protectors are manufactured from a second quality, coarser grade material.Material of this type may have minor flaws which allow for the protectors to fail prematurely.We purchased 3 two pack protectors in a King Size. The six protectors were consistently sized and easily fit our King size pillows.While these protectors are not the least expensive, they do appear to be worth the extra expense.Ver másVer menos
