The microscope is a good buy.
This microscope works like a charm! It can be used for any items you want a closer look. The clarity is great & has adjustments that make it ideal. Easy to set up & use in a few minutes. It also can be connected to your computer to have a larger screen. We haven't needed to use the computer yet because it works great. It's also fun for kids to look at items under a microscope. Perfect for Examining/Cleaning Hearing Aid Wax Guards
Starkey, Oticon, and other leading in-ear hearing aid manufacturers have microscopic wax guards that have to be cleaned or replaced from time to time. This Elikliv microscope makes it real easy to examine and remove was from the wax guard and the air duct. Wax buildup is hard to see with a magnifying glass, so you can hold the hearing aid under the microscope while removing wax buildup. Decent for the Price – Just Keep Expectations Realistic
I think this is a decent product for what it is, but don’t expect a high-end microscope. I wasn’t looking for professional-grade quality, so I’m not disappointed, but I do think buyers should be realistic. It’s frustrating when people expect $1,000 performance from a product that costs around $30–$50. You’re not paying for premium equipment here, and that’s okay, just be realistic about your expectations!I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son, who’s currently into coin collecting. He didn’t specifically ask for a microscope, but I thought it might be something he’d enjoy. For the price (under $50), I was actually pleasantly surprised. I opened it early to test it out and make sure everything worked before gifting it, just in case I needed to return it.The assembly was simple, and I tested it using a penny. The zoom/focus works well, and the screen is surprisingly crisp for this price range.That said, there are a couple of drawbacks. First, the stand is a bit wobbly. The microscope camera is lightweight, but the plastic base is even lighter, which makes the whole setup top-heavy. Even small actions, like adjusting the zoom, pressing buttons, or repositioning a coin, can cause it to shake. For some users, that might be annoying. Personally, I don’t think my son will mind it, and I'm sure he’ll figure out how to work around it.Another minor issue is the height of the stand. It's fairly short, so you can’t get the entire coin in the field of view, even with a small coin like a dime. You only see a cropped portion unless you reposition the coin multiple times. However, the included manual suggests a workaround: turn the camera facing the other way and place the stand on top of a book (or stack of books) to raise the overall height - it includes pictures in the booklet showing you how to do this. This allows you to view the entire coin in one frame and then fine-tune the focus for detail.Overall, it’s a solid beginner microscope for casual use, especially for kids or hobbyists. Perfect starter microscope, or perfect for coins for which it was advertised.
This was perfect for what I wanted it for, but one should know that’s this product is very much a “starter” microscope . The parts and flimsy and so cheap. Some low grade aluminum or even tin. Rather easy to set up.It can be finicky when trying to adjust.. but in full transparency that is likely operator error.But once you get through these things.. and use it. I was pretty happy. I am a mineral and crystal collector, so I love to look at the pieces magnified. I had been using a jewelry loupe, which worked.. but I couldn’t really capture a picture. - so I knew I wanted something small to start out.. I found one other “pocket microscope” oh my god it Was horrible. When I found this one I loved tat it was compact, but it has a lcd screen with a spot for a memory card l.. LOVE this!I haven’t yet purchased the memory card, BUT that hasn’t stopped me from setting it up zooming in and snapping a picture from my phone to share with my group..keep in mind as the description says this is technically designed for coins. If that is what you will be using it for.. I think it would be a great! Obviously as shared is crazy mineral collectors can use for smaller specimens.And despite the disappointment in the material and lack of real quality.. I gave 5 stars. It meets the description perfectly. It works as designed; and at that, it works pretty cool.. and did I say.. you can record!Some of the pictures. One of the original piece and 2 inclusions that were not viable to the naked eye.. or were really little spots. The 4th picture is dendritic formations.. so as you can see it does work.Would i recommend yeah I think I would, and would share the things that I personally didn’t care for.Ver másVer menos
