This audiobook version of Lovecraft's work is excellent. The narrators provide an excellent "voice" to the Lovecraft world. Highly Recommended. 10 stars if I could. Read more

Love, love, love this collections
I’ve listened to other audio recordings of Lovecraft before but this is by far my favorite collection. You can tell the guys who made this not only have a deep, abiding love of HP’s writing but they also have a real insight into the materiel, which clearly informs how they narrate each scene in each story. Almost perfect but not quite there (Audiobook)
Having the complete works of Lovecraft in audiobook form with a pretty good narrator is definitely a 5 star product in theory. The only issue I have is that I have listened to other audiobook adaptations of Lovecraft's work where the narration is superior. Gordon Gould's narration for "Dagon & Other Macabre Tales by H.P. Lovecraft" is far better than what you will hear on this audiobook. I recommend getting a copy if you can and comparing the two versions to see what I mean. The biggest issue is that sometimes the narrator will rush through a section of prose or dialogue, instead of being more nuanced with the pacing and letting things develop. It isn't a deal breaker by any stretch, but when compared to other versions, it is quite noticeable. This is still a must own for Lovecraft fans, especially if it is the first time you are hearing these stories being read aloud. I've just been spoiled by hearing better narrators prior to listening to this version. The main reason I bought this collection is that there are stories on here that are difficult to near impossible to find elsewhere, unless you listen to fan readings online, many of which are not that great. 4/5 Read moreVer másVer menos

meh
to compile so much is exquisite but the narrators are not all very good at it,which make the experience sometimes painful to hear. a shame for the masterpiece. Read more
