Fantastic Collection
Most readers are familiar with the works that were made into films. It's great to have access to his other science fiction, comic and dramatic works, in chronological order. After binge reading five or six stories, you might need a breather, but it's nice to come back to, and to read Mr. Wells' intelligent and humorous prose, which is also sure to compliment your vocabulary. Mostly Great Tales
All of Wells' major science fiction novels along with some less well-known ones. I can take or leave the comedies and the love stories, but one eerie novella I'd never read before, The Croquet Player, is alone worth the price of the Kindle edition. Read more

Enjoyed these classics
Some of these have so many remakes, such as The Invisible Man, that I never knew how it was originally written. There are some great ones in here and you get enough that you can pick the ones you like best. He really is a very good author. Read more

Useless...
So many typos that it's impossible to read. Just OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and spell checking is not enough - proof reading is required. For example: "Amory's mother said she wanted to cry when she heard it, bug Lumpy was only sorry..." Bug?? Should be BUT. There are multiple similar typos just in the first four pages of "The Wonderful Visit". I guess for $1.99, you get what you pay for. Update: October 28, 2021 I have added additional stars because most of the other novels in this set are generally typo-free. Many of the obvious issues were only in the first novel "The Wonderful Visit". Read moreVer másVer menos
