High potential camera! I love it!

This camera has great potential at the price point. I see absolutely no cons yet after using for 2 months now. In-built features brings more enthusiasm in you and life in the photos. The picture quality is crisp and clear. The auto-focus is quick af. The white body color stands rare and catches eyes wherever you are. The ease of sharing photos over WiFi, Bluetooth and HDMI is inexpressible. Although the less number of available lenses for EF-M range, there are adapters available to overcome it. Great camera

Bought this camera for my 3-week-long trip because of its decent video options for a relatively low price. Video conditions weren't that good - mostly I was shooting by fixing it to the passenger seat in my car with Gorilla pod. On the road, the camera was shaking badly, and I thought that videos are ruined. How surprised I was when I found close to perfect shots! Stabilizer works great! Perfect for vlogging, very light and small, you don't need a big bag for it, even with a monopod. Great camera!Ver más

Super easy to use and crazy high quality

Can’t believe how amazing this camera is! I bought it for my YouTube videos and it’s super clear easy to use picture and sound quality are perfect 👌 I love how there are so many options with this camera especially for taking portraits you can adjust it to smooth so your skin looks flawless! The thing that shocked me the most was how well this camera works without any lights set up! I used natural light and videoed inside on a gloomy day and it came out perfect 👌Ver más

NOVICE REVIEW....

So, I’m a vlogger. I’ve had the g7x the past few years and the auto focus was the bane of my existence! Finally, a camera that focuses on what I’m aiming at with clarity! I got the white one...it’s so sexy! I love everything about this camera except that zoom.... I think I could zoom closer with the g7x but I’d much rather deal with that! All in all, so comfortable and well worth the money! It’s taking me a while to get a “feel” for the record button bc it is flush with the camera. I used to accidentally turn off the g7x and now I have to intentionally look for the button and press with intent. I’d take the latter any day. Unless you want to zoom with the lens that comes with it, this camera is amazing! Super easy for someone who isn’t a real photog and wants to look like one 📸 AND produce good content whilst trying to be one 😉. I truly give it 5 stars and I’m not willy nilly with my stars, yo! It feels and looks and performs like it’s worth thousands of dollars.... Buy with confidence! Especially if your even remotely comfortable with canon in gen bc I started using it straight out thee box and have yet to read the handbook 😳 maybe it’s does zoom closer than the lens dial can take it and I just haven’t figured it out yet?🤷‍♀️Just my honest review, as a non photog! ✌🏼💜🦋💜✌🏼Ver más

I am a starting YouTuber/photographer and this camera really does amp up the quality and just makes your life easier lol! It films great @ night, which means during the day it does wonders! I picked the M50 over the Sony A6400 Here's why

For some people, they may be better off going with the Sony6400. It seems to be everyone's new darling, and it is a great camera. So why did I pick a 4 year old Canon EOE M50? Well because for decades I been using Canon, Nikon and Sony. I've had the most quirks with Sony. Never been disappointed with Canon or Nikon. None of the reviews of either cameras ever discuss longevity and durability. Probably because they are all too young to understand this yet.The only real issue regarding why some choose the Sony over the Canon besides age of buyer is the Sony delivers true 4K with no cropping and provides a clean HDMI feed out of the box. The Canon provides true 4K but with slight cropping. It also does not deliver a clean HDMI feed out of the box. Of course there are work arounds for this, but not for the slight cropping, which imho isn't even noticeable unless you do a side by side comparison. And that was never a concern for me. Once I found a way to deliver a clean HDMI feed, this was also not a concern.Personally I love the look and feel better on the Canon M50. The images and video are more truer to life then the Sony which has always used more saturation which results in a exaggerated color display. But in all fairness, some people prefer that. Canon has always delivered quality on ever one of their cameras and have no lemons, beating even Nikon in that respect. I like the menus, and features better too.Lenses is another consideration. With a M50 lens adapter you could use a complete line of Canon lenses and third party lenses. In other words if down the road you decided to upgrade to a more expensive Canon Camera, you can use the same lenses. Canon also offers way more accessories too. With the Sony you can only use third party lenses, mostly Sigma. So for me, it was a no brainer.But I was surprised to see just how small the M50 was! When I looked at the box it came in I thought there must be some mistake here lol. But I was pleasantly surprised. It is indeed a bit smaller than I expected, but feels good in the hands. It's solid. It does not feel like your holding a plastic hollow camera. It looks and feels great. I got the white because all my life I would get black bodies as a sign of "professional". Well you know what? I don't care if I appear professional any more. This time I pleased myself and got the white and love it lol.I have always been a loyal Canon and Nikon user. I been using both formats for decades. I've used mostly Sony video cameras in the past. And had pleasant experience with them quirks aside. Sony certainly is a high contender. But I never cared for any of their DSL cameras.With all that said, being as honest as I can be, I give the M50 4 Stars. They could easily correct the clean HDMI feed with a firmware upgrade, but have not yet. By clean HDMI I'm referring to that pesky auto focus square. The only way to get rid of it on HDMI is either shoot in manual focus or use USB instead. If not for that, I would have given it 5 Stars. But I still love it.
