  Great stockings for total knee replacement!

  I am recovering from a total knee replacement and the compression is just right! I wear the XL. My ankles are narrow, but I ordered based on my calf and it was a good fit. I have not had them slide or roll down. Most compression socks or knee braces roll down on me. These are the only ones that haven't.Some reviewers said they had problems with quality. On my first pair, I did put my thumb through them, but it was because I was PULLING them on like SOCKS. You must put them on like pantyhose. You need to scrunch them down, calf to toe, and then slowly slide them up. (I even do this when I use a Sock-Aid!) I have not had a problem since.I have some socks fray but have had others not fray at all. On the ones that fray I just trim the loose strings. I have not had the ankle get destroyed like other reviewers. However, I do get regular pedicures. The heel fabric is thinner than the rest of the sock.Ver másVer menos

  Kept my ankles from swelling during a long summer trip.

  I ordered this for a long trip we took last week. My ankles often swell when traveling, especially in hot weather. These prevented any swelling and look fairly decent. They are heavier and more opaque than regular knee high stockings but are a good color for me and don't look "medical" under capris. I was very self conscious about wearing heavy black or white compression socks. These worked just as well for me and were much more comfortable. The band around the top was not uncomfortable to me at all and that is usually an issue for me. At first I thought they were too long, but I took them off and didn't pull them up as tightly, fitting the band just below my knee and they worked fine. The open toe feels a little weird at first, but I soon got accustomed to that and I think it makes the stockings feel a little cooler. I did wear no show socks over these in my tennis shoes because my shoes were slipping with just the stockings and they felt fine. I wore them all day for three different days, hand washing them each evening and they still look pretty good. I will order an additional pair before we travel again because these were really good for me.Ver másVer menos

  Not for wide calves

  While I found these srockings to be of good quality in terms of sheerness, ease in getting on and off, and overall durability, the size was not a good fit for me. I am 5'4" and weigh 205 lbs. The stockings for my size were too long at the foot and were digging in at the back of my knees. I wore them 15 hours on a road trip that also involved a lot of walking and they did help my legs not get as tired and kept the swelling down. But the top band created pain of its own. I have wide calves. Someone with thinner legs may do quite well with these.Ver másVer menos

  OUTSTANDING PRODUCT - Purchased initially in 2021 and still wearing the same product in 2026

  I was hit by a car as a pedestrian and sustained a broken tibia / fibula and a crushed ankle. As a result my surgeon suggested I wear compression socks to help control the swelling and give my ankle a bit of stability as it healed. I'm very familiar these types of "Stockings" as they remind me of the "Support Stockings" I used to wear when I worked in retail and had to be on my feet all day. I read many of the reviews and many people said these items didn't last long and they "ran" easily and were difficult to put on. My experience has been very different. I have to say I am very careful with how I clean them. I do wash them in the washer but I put them in a Lingerie bag and hang them dry after each use. For me, they were very easy to put on but you have to be careful putting them on. They are no different than putting on Nylon Stockings...they are the same material just in sock form. My accident happened in June 2021 and it is April 2026. I can't remember how many pair I purchased but I am wearing the SAME Stockings TODAY that I purchased in 2021. I think that is REMARKABLE considering they are basically Sheer Support Stockings!!!! I wear them everyday!!!I don't often write such a detailed review but I really feel this is an exceptional product for what it is and for the price it is. Based on the reviews I read initially, I didn't expect it to last as long as it has. I'm just now looking to replace some pieces that have begun to show wear and tear.If you are considering to purchase something like these, I HIGHLY recommend them.Ver másVer menos

  Poor quality

  What a disappointment, they went out so nicely and were comfortable all day,AND THEN I removed this evening and the whole heel was full of runs and holes.I do not have ling nails and I checked every surface in my boot with no rough spots. I spent most of day in wheelchair so it’s not from walking.I feel like I wasted my money. ONE DAY USAGE is pretty expensive 😦Ver másVer menos
