Physical Survival, Better Workouts, and Perfect Blood Pressure
I've been using N. O. XT for five months and wouldn't be without it. In late April of 2018, I had one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel, as the old saying goes. It had been a hard winter with two severe, sequential bouts of flu, coupled with the ongoing drain of caring for my disabled wife for the past twenty-one years plus. At five-eleven, my weight was down from 160 lbs. to 142 lbs. Relief had finally arrived, as my beloved had moved under a separate roof for medical reasons, lessening that burden, but I was still hacking from the chest like there was no tomorrow. I had a lot of work to do to rehab my body.Somewhere in May, thankfully, I'd recovered enough to start working out again, and I desperately needed to do so. My admittedly long fingers could wrap almost completely around my skeletal upper arm. N. O. XT was my only workout-related supplement, but taking it 30 minutes prior to working out was never an option. It's an ordeal for me to get down my supplements as nine times out of ten something will get stuck halfway down and burn until a bit of food chases it out of there. I do, however, take four capsules, once per day.At first, my workouts were strictly at home. As a former pro athlete who rode broncs and bulls back in the day, I know my body pretty well, but at first I could do neither a single pushup nor a single situp. Without this product, I was convinced my comeback would have been even more problematic than it was. Most of the critical reviews seem to focus on not "feeling" a difference. To me, that's missing the point. I didn't "feel" anything, either, but knew this stuff was important. In June and July, I had a podiatrist surgically remove both big toenails, which I'd been ripping out for the previous 26 years on my own. By today, August 30, 2018, medical results and a new gym membership had combined to produce an impressive list of facts:1. According to the doctor, my insulted toes healed up at an astounding rate. He'd warned me the healing process could take months, but at least six to eight weeks. Both toes were completely healed, looking and feeling good, five weeks post surgery.2. During my first visit to the podiatrist's office, my BP was 145/79, which I told the nurse sounded about right when I was about to ask a total stranger to carve my tootsies up with a scalpel. But at every succeeding visit, the numbers were much lower, with the last visit showing 117/58. It didn't occur to me until later that N. O. XT got the credit for that; I couldn't remember the last time I'd seen such great numbers.3. At the gym, where I work out three times per week, I make the circuit of 20 different weight machines. No dedicated cardio work. Happily, not every muscle group was as weak as I'd feared; the home workouts and N. O. XT had helped me hang in there at least a little bit and my situps were back to 50 per set. But the bench press machine results were depressing in the extreme. This wasn't a complete surprise, as I'd hit an ugly, puny plateau doing pushups at home and pushups are simply upside down bench presses. But it was still depressing. Until last night. I work out around midnight, which so far lets me have the entire gym to myself, which I like. No witnesses to weakness, eh? Last night was just my fourth workout at the gym. Not expecting much, I loaded up the same weight that had been stopping me at six reps on the first set. This time, I cranked out ten.Now I'm going to try another Zhou product, N. O. Pro, but will use it in addition to N. O. XT, not as a replacement. One product in the morning, one in the evening. My weight logged in this morning at 163 lbs, which is for me a healthy number. Energy is good. Pump at the gym is especially noticeable in my forearms. Upper arms no longer feel like stick figures and I can feel some meat there when I grip them. This product works for me on multiple levels.Note: I'll be turning 75 years of age in a couple of months.Ver másVer menos
