good cooker

Great pressure cooker. It cooks food much faster and keeps everything tender and flavorful. Feels safe and easy to use, and cleanup is simple. Very happy with the purchase.

PERFECT! All cooks need this jewel .

If you use a crock pot for all day cooking, roasts & chili, or boiling pnuts, ect ,quit wasting your time. This can do EVERYTHING, only better. My husband is amazed at my perfect baked potatoes in 12 mins. The flavor in anything I cook is great and the tenderness is remarkable. I remember my mom with her huge , heavy tank of a pressure cooker. She would love this! Easy peasy, set it up and leave it alone. Easy clean up, lightweight, even has a stay warm setting till you get back to it, has automated cook timers. Try it, modern technology with a keypad, you will appreciate all the things it can do.Ver más

Excellent All-in-One Kitchen Appliance

Excellent multi-cooker! Very easy to use and saves a lot of time in the kitchen. I’ve used it for rice, soups, pressure cooking, and steaming, and everything comes out great. The stainless steel pot is high quality and easy to clean. Definitely worth the money.Ver más

So far so good!

This review is going to be in steps, but I am impressed with the Instant Pot Duo. The most important factors of a good review are 1. packaging, 2. instructions, 3. shipping ( which has been less than agreeable ), 4. product customer service, and, 5. product performance and durability.Of the first two factors, I am very happy that this product was well packaged and the instructions are easy to understand and very well written. Plenty of diagrams and pictures and warnings, but the reading must be done before attempting to operate this pot, if you want to become proficient.And to answer anyone's question, no I am not a professional chef! I buy spices directly from the San Francisco importer for freshness which deals in pounds and put them in quart canning jars to keep them fresh longer. And my cabinet doors are off to eliminate opening and closing which is a redundant action.So, for this first review, I am very satisfied with this product and hope to produce amazing recipes. I think all kitchens should have the right appliance to do the right process. One appliance does NOT fit all cooking situations and I will continue to add. Next is getting a good Instant Pot Cookbook which comes with the territory.Stay tuned for the rest of my review; looking forward to a great experience. Thanks Amazon. I'll be back!2nd review is ready.......Steamed Vegetables!First, I love vegetables, not that I am a vegetarian, but the benefits of steamed vegetables are enormous! Yes!I did Bok Choy, Chard, Red Onion, chicken seasoning, sea salt, garlic powder, fresh ground black pepper: 1.5 cups of water in the bottom of the Instant Pot, 2 minutes pressure cook, and beautiful. Next time, 1 minute because I like a bit of crunch on the veggies. But beautiful! Next Broccoli, Cauliflower, Green Beans, Asparagus, Collard Greens, Beets, Butternut Squash, Yellow and Acorn Squash, and any other vegetable that can be steamed! Since I love vegetables, this Instant Pot is a game-changer for Me!See you in the next review! Happy Instant Potting!This is my final review, and I think, as I have told many people, including a lot of men who are afraid to boil water, let alone get anywhere near a kitchen...............If you can read, you can cook! And this is a wonderful appliance to have in your kitchen, even for novices who can't boil water. After all, cooking is nothing more than experimentation. And it's meant to be fun. The Instant Pot does most of the work, all you have to do is read, gather the ingredients; read to set the Instant Pot, close the lid and press the appropriate button.It didn't all come to me when I first started but gradually, after reading and following trusted advise from trusted people, I was having fun and soon started creating my own vegetable dishes. (I love veggies.)It's not meant to be rocket science and with the availability of so many cookbooks, you'll wonder why you didn't sooner. That's it.I love this little appliance for the convenience and ease. And there are so many functions to do the work.It was my best buddy that convinced me to get one and I am glad I listened to him. Not as revolutionary as they're making it out to be. But still worth adding to your kitchen collection for so many reasons.

Am I in love with my Instant Pot yet? Not yet. But I'm pretty darn close.Hi. I'm Amazon shopper Tom, and I am not a great cook. I'm impatient, have a hard time juggling a stovetop full of pots and skillets, and can't seem to get anything that requires going into an oven to come out tender and flavorful to save my life. I am, in a word, hopeless in the kitchen. What I need is something that is easy to use, makes cooking kind of fun and does as much work for me as it can. I think the Instant Pot fits those criteria pretty well.Now, to be fair, I have yet to explore all the preset features and options this particular unit features. I have not steamed anything yet, or made yogurt or sterilized cans or made eggs. So I can't speak to how well every function works at this juncture. But I am confident that, even if you get this and find a preset doesn't work right, the fact that it's completely customizable (three heat settings, a flexible timer, a keep warm option, an on and on) you'll find a way to make it work and make your kitchen life easier.I'm still learning as I go, so there are lots of experiments I'm eager to try. But so far I've done lentils, chicken and pork tenderloins and all of them have turned out either more flavorful or more tender or both compared to what I did on the stovetop or oven previously. Rice has come out perfect every time, and even a quick cook of some frozen black eyed peas wowed the family.What I will NOT say in this device's favor is that it's speedy. Everyone seems to rave about how quick it makes meals. And yes, you can pressure cook a whole chicken in record time if you want, or whatever experienced cooks do for fun on a Friday night. But that doesn't tell the whole story. It still has to come to temperature, and that seems to take as long as the actual pressure cooking time. Longer even, if you don't preheat it by sautéeing something first in the pot. I even did a race between oven cooked chicken versus Instant Pot pressure cooked chicken. And you know who won? No one, it was a tie. It took exactly as long to pressure cook, counting the warm up and cool down cycles, as the oven did. Of course, the chicken from this thing was fall off the bone tender and juicy, with flavor all the way through. The oven chicken was borderline rubbery and tough. So it wins on quality and flavor but not speed.I have yet to try cooking just plain white rice in it to see if it comes out gray (eww?) but I've cooked "flavored" rice in broth and it's looked normal. And tasted great!One other minor grumble I've had is that cleanup isn't all that easy. The stainless steel pot seems to really grab on to food and hang on to it. Yeah, I've been spoiled by years of non-stick cookery, but this is borderline ridiculous. It really does need to be cleaned ASAP after use or things will gunk up real bad. Also, when releasing the lid after any cooking mode, condensate tends to drain not just back into the pot but also the little ledge that the pot latches on to, causing some grease and goo to gum up the works there. It can be cleaned but it's kind of a tight fit for a guy like me with fat fingers and little patience. That lid really hangs onto smells, too. That first batch of garlic seasoned lentils I did kept the lid stinky for days until I finally broke down and really deep cleaned it and took the gasket out and wiped it down.Overall, this is a really neat little doo-dad for the kitchen. I love that it's (after a learning curve) set it and forget it, that it can do so much in one pot and that it doesn't take up too much space on the kitchen counter. It's big, but it does a lot within that round footprint!

Multifunction appliance. Quicker meals.

Instapots are awesome! Meals that used to take hours are done in minutes. It’s very versatile and can make rice, yogurt, soup, roast and many other meals. This last one I bought was for my daughter to replace my old 6 quart version when I upgraded to an 8 quart. I think I bought the first one around 2017-2018. I used it 2 times per week, but after I gave it to her around 2020, she used it 4-5 times a week, it finally ‘died’ in late 2025. My 8 quart is still going strong. The yogurt function is great. Beans from dried versions do not take all day to cook and are ready in just a few hours. Rice also works well in the Instapot! Highly recommend as the one appliance replaces several others saving lots of kitchen space.Ver más
