Great everyday coffee maker

I’ve been really happy with the Keurig K-Elite. It’s one of those appliances that does exactly what I need it to do without making my morning more complicated.It heats up quickly, is easy to use, and I really like having several cup-size options depending on how much coffee I want. The Strong Brew setting is probably my favorite feature because I prefer a bolder cup, and it actually makes a noticeable difference. The large water reservoir is another big plus since I’m not constantly having to refill it.I also appreciate that it gives you more control than a basic single-serve machine while still keeping everything convenient. The controls are straightforward, cleanup is easy, and it consistently makes a good cup of coffee.If you like the convenience of K-Cups but want a machine with a few more useful features than the basic models, the K-Elite is a solid choice. I use mine regularly and would definitely buy it again.Ver más

Great Keurig with two features I would miss now

I purchased this Keurig K-Elite for my daughter, but I have been using it too, so I’ve had a chance to try the main features myself. We purchased it recently, and it has already been a great buy. I have used Keurig machines for years, and this one has a couple of features that really make it stand out.What I like:• The iced coffee feature works really well• It makes better iced coffee than just brewing a regular K-cup over ice• The iced setting seems to get the strength and ratio right so it does not taste watered down• Works with regular K-cups for iced coffee• Hot water on demand is very useful• Great for tea, oatmeal, hot cocoa mixes, and other hot drinks• Easy to set up• Directions were easy to understand• Brews regular K-cups nicely too• I like the variety of cup sizes• The water reservoir size is convenient without making the machine too bulky• Feels quieter than other Keurigs I have used• Fits nicely on the countertopThings to be aware of:• It is quieter than some other Keurigs, but it is not completely silent• It still makes some normal brewing and heating sounds• If placing it under cabinets, remember the handle needs extra clearance when opened• I do recommend keeping up with descaling because I think it helps with both taste and machine longevity• We use our Keurigs heavily, and while none have lasted forever for us, we keep coming back to the brandOverall:This is a great Keurig, and the iced coffee and hot water features are what make it feel special. Less noise, much better coffee

This is the 2nd Keurig machine that I have owned, the previous being a K145 OfficePro that I had for almost 10 years. I bought the new machine because the K145s cup size selector switch started to malfunction, probably from the contacts getting worn out from use. Being an engineer, I know that this only happened because of inferior design and/or parts quality. Neverthless, I was able to grab this unit on sale for labor day. I'm not sure if I would have paid full price for it, but it seems to be worth what I paid. I have made several observations after using this machine for over a month, hopefully to help the rest of you make an informed buying decision.Pros:- Makes better coffee than my K145. I would imagine this is due to Keurig changing the time and/or water delivery speed of the brewing process. Using good-quality K-Cups, it makes coffee on par with using a good-quality drip machine (like my Ninja). The coffee is notiably richer and more full-bodied compared with the K145 using the same K-Cups. This was a surprize to me, as I expected just a more expensive version of the old machine. Being that I love good coffee, this alone would have justified the purchased in my book.- The pump makes half of the noise that the K145 did. This is also a plus because I get up early for work and don't want to disturb the rest of the family. The brew time is about the same.- The machine now allows 2 extra cup size selections -- 14oz and 4oz, 1 larger and 1 smaller (by 2 oz) than on the K145.- The machine will dispense hot water to make tea or hot chocolate. I can't comment on this feature yet, as I have yet to use it.- The water tank is 20%-30% larger than on the K154, leading to more time between refills.- This machine is compatible with non-Keurig K-Cups, as there is no barcode reader in the machine. Don't get me started.Cons:- The water tank was a product of the 'function follows form' perspective of some marketing idiot. The tank doesn't have any convenient surfaces to grip it in one hand, and due to it's compound curves is difficult to reinsert into the machine correctly. It's a 2-handed operation, due to their wanting to hide the water tank and make it look like the other half of the machine from an industrial design perspective. Mildly annoying.- The water tank doesn't have a window on the front to check the water level. Another brilliant design choice. Now I have to peek around the side to determine how much water is left.- The menu system of the digital pad is mildly confusing, and takes a little getting used to. It's not terrible, but it could be more user friendly. Playing with the settings using trial and error is more useful than trying to read the manual, which was probably written by the same person who designed the water tank.All-in-all, the better quality of the coffee, the larger water tank, and the quieter operation justifies the upgrade. Reccommended, with a few reservations.

Outstanding quality product

This is my 5th Kuerig product over the past 25 years. None of them ever failed me with multi daily uses. They all went on to please other coffee lovers after a few years of use (kids, employees, etc.). I always looked forward for a chance to buy a new unit. This new unit just replaced the same model I have been using for 18 years, just as nice a unit as the day I bought it...... my daughter asked if I still had the one in my office......I said yes and you can have it. I jumped on the chance to get this new one at a great price. Given these units last so long, This may be my last, we dont live forever :-) Beware old time Keurig users; Kuerig does not ship a filter holder with the new unit (13 $ on Amazon....just FYI).Ver más

Absolutely nothing to complain about. Love from the first site

This coffee machine is so well thought out. I love that every single little part of it is integrated within the machine. So smart. It looks amazing. It works great.I've made teas, coffees, cappuccinos, I've used cups and grounds. I prefer grounds in general.The temperature of the drink is hot. Taste is awesome.There are 4 types of drinks you can brew. You can make classic(1) or rich(2) (the machine will stop a few times for a few moments and start brewing again during the cycle making coffee taste stronger/richer), over the ice(3) or specialty(4), which brews 4 oz and its really strong like expresso. I brew specialty when I'm making cappuccino. It brews very fast too.I love the frother. It works amazing. You don't get splashes because it has cover over it. I love that its always there and I can pop it out any moment when I need it. It's very easy to clean too. Quarter of twist detaches the frother and I can wash it quickly and pop it right back in with the same quarter of the twist.I absolutely love the fact that this is not overly complicated machine. It has basic functions that I wanted that all work really well.The machine is narrow and doesn't take much space on the counter which I really appreciate.It is a little taller than I thought it would be, but I guess my top kitchen cabinets is high enough that I don't have to move the machine and can open and close the lid with no problems.The heigh of the machine allows to fill the water tank with almost 48 oz of water. Water tank is easily removable.The height of the machine also allows for different types of cups. I can put a pretty tall thermos cup and brew straight into it. The most amount you can brew at once is 24 oz.The machine recognizes which attachment you have inside, for cups or grounds. Attachments are also marked on the outside on their little handles that stick on the outside of the machine when they stored away.It's so neat and cute. It's made with love.I'm soooo enjoying it and absolutely loving it. I'm planning to buy it as a gift to my loved ones, that's how much I love it.The permanent filter is easy to clean. It makes an amazing tea too, not just coffees. Loose leaf or a bag, everything comes out amazing and hot.The lid over the filter has a hole where the water flows through and has multiple holes on the bottom of the lid, just like shower head, which allows hot water to go evenly through the coffee grounds or tea leaves. Love that.I was looking for a single cup machine, so mostly I brew 1 or 2 cups only. I never had a problems with overflowing or getting grounds in the coffee. I think people get those problems because they simply put too much coffee grounds which causes it to overflow and get grounds into coffee.The included permanent filter is not huge, so if you need to brew strong coffee for a large amount of people at once, this is probably not the best choice. But if you brew 1 or 2 cups, this is perfect. Otherwise you could also brew a few times. I don't see any problem with that because it brews amazingly fast.I do not have any dripping problems either. I brew until the brewing cycle is complete, there is blinking light indicator on top of the lid. When brewing cycle is finished machine makes the light stops blinking and machine makes 3 beeps. Not loud, but I'm able to hear them with working TV, washer and dishwasher. If you remove the cup after those 3 beeps and wipe (i usually just touch it with edge of my cup) the last drop on the spout it doesn't drip. Ever. But even if it was to drip a couple drops, there is a nice really easy to clean dripping tray, that you can place on 4 different heights or remove completely.I think this machine is worth every penny. I can't tell you enough how much I love this thing. I'm so glad I chose to buy it. I didn't even expect it would be so great.Not big or bulky, well thought out, looks very very nice, has all nessesary functions that each works amazing. It doen't look cheap at all. It's very pleasing to the eye and stylish.I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants versatility, simplicity and style.I feel like I didn't say enough, didn't give it enough credit for what it is lol.Whoever was designing this thing is for sure a big people lover. I wanna give them a hug hahaha.

Great coffeemaker

I bought this about 6 months ago or so and use it everyday. It works great. You can also pop out the k-cup holder and pop in a k-cup adapter where you put in your own ground coffee. There are five coffee size settings: espresso size, then one size up from that, then small, medium and large. Plus it has an iced tea setting and just hot water if you're making tea.Ver más
