A well made and functional dual monitor mount
This turned out to be a great solution for my dual-monitor set up, giving me some more height for my monitors and space back on my desk. I'll focus on the two primary questions I had going into my purchase for any of those who have similar questions as they're considering these:1. This mount uses a single bracket for the height of BOTH monitors, how will it work with slightly different monitor models? - There is a height adjustment screw on each monitor bracket to allow you to adjust them up, but it only goes about 1/4". For me, this wasn't tall enough to properly line up my monitors, but adding a washer to the adjustment screw got me close enough to the height I needed. Additional washers for height is not possible or else your monitor will not be properly fastened in place. If you need more than 1/2" of vertical adjustment between your left/right monitors, this is not the mount for you.2. How close far back will this mount allow me to put my monitors on my desk, against a wall? With my setup (mount offset so a main monitor can be centered, 24" monitors) my centered monitor is about 4" from my back wall, and my desk about 3" from the back wall as well. Due to the single mount and angles of movement for the arms, you're going to have to have your desk a few inches from your wall in order to get your mounts close to the back edge of your desk. You can see in my photos how the arms of this mount naturally angle BACK from the mount in order to get 24" monitors next to one another. You may be able to get things closer with larger monitors.3. Is this thing really as sturdy as everyone says? Yes. This mount is incredibly sturdy and doesn't move in the slightest under normal desk use. The ONLY issue with this mount is the point where the VESA brackets attach to the arms. Due to how this is designed, there is about 1/8-1/4" of play for rotating the monitors, so it can be very easy to accidentally knock them off of being level horizontally/vertically. This turned out to not be as much of an issue as I initially thought, but it's definitely my biggest complaint about this mounting solution.4. How easily can you move a monitor forward and backward? When I'm using my office for work I like to have as much desk space as possible and my monitors back on my desk. When gaming, I prefer to have my monitors much closer to my keyboard. For some reason it's very easy to move my center monitor forward and backward, but my offset one is significantly more difficult (i actually have to reach around to the back and move the arm as I need - i think this is because of the angles I have the arms at. I can live with that and it's not a major complaint. In short, this is an excellent mount for the price. My minor gripes are easily overlooked by the overall quality and price of this dual monitor mount. I recommend for anyone looking for a cheap and effective mounting solution, but have caution if you use different models of monitors and want to have them be perfectly level.Ver másVer menos
