Great bilingual storybook for young readers
This is a really nice book for kids who are learning English and Spanish. The stories are short, simple, and fun, so children don’t feel overwhelmed while reading. Each story can be read in about five minutes, which makes it perfect for bedtime or quick reading time with kids. One thing I liked is that the book shows the same story in both English and Spanish, side by side. This helps kids learn new words naturally. After each story there are vocabulary words and small activities so children can practice what they just read. The stories also teach good lessons without being too obvious. For example, in “The Fizzing Experiment,” Priya forgets an important ingredient for her science fair project. Instead of giving up, she quickly finds another solution using fizzing tablets and still completes her experiment. This shows kids how to stay calm and solve problems when things go wrong.Another fun story is “The Map Behind the Bookshelf.” Felix finds a hidden map in his classroom that leads him and his friend Delia to a small treasure box with a compass and a note. It encourages curiosity and adventure while showing how small discoveries can be exciting.I also liked “The Kite That Would Not Fly,” where two kids argue about why their kite keeps crashing. When they stop arguing and work together, they finally get the kite flying. It’s a simple story but teaches teamwork in a natural way.Overall, this is a great book for children ages 6–8. The language is easy to understand, the lessons are positive, and the bilingual format makes it very helpful for learning a second language. I would definitely recommend it to parents who want their kids to practice reading while also learning Spanish.Ver másVer menos
