Comprehensive and Well put together
This has to be one of the best and most comprehensive books about the Star Wars timeline. It dates as far back as 25, 000 years before the destruction of the first Death Star. I love how well it's designed with images from across multiple sources. It's easy to follow and understand. It even dives in deeper for canon events in the story line.Ver másVer menos

Great overview -- fills in gaps between movies with material from the new Expanded Universe
I love all of DK's Star Wars books and own almost all of them. They always have great photography and visually attractive pages. My favorite thing about this book was how it has incorporated all of the New Expanded Universe (the books, comics, video games, etc that have come out since 2012), into the narrative. Since I haven't read all of that extra stuff, I am able to get the gist of the New Expanded Universe by reading the entries in this book. The most recent TV series are not included. Perhaps a second edition will be done in a few years. Recommended for any Star Wars fan's home library.Ver másVer menos

Awesome gift for Star Wars fans
My husband is a diehard Star Wars fan and he absolutely loves this book! He pours over every page going “Oh wow” and “hmm, I didn’t know that”. It does such a wonderful job of explaining all the different timelines and how everything fits together. Some sections go into more detail on a certain character and other section focus on a time period like, the clone wars. The illustrations are outstanding in such vivid colors and it’s easy to follow. He’s not a book reader, but he is reading this book cover to cover. Highly, highly recommend.Ver másVer menos

A Perfect Starter Book for Star Wars Fans
My list of likes are that I read an Star Wars Insider magazine about how five or more different authors worked on the many different eras of the Skywalker Saga, second I also liked the items, characters, and organization timelines which give me an petitioning idea to do a timeline series like the European books series called “Star Wars encyclopedia”, third and finally I enjoyed the lesser known and unexplored stories that got my attention.My dislike is that on the Kindle version of this book, the words are blurry like that Darth Vader image above, second I agree with the rest of the reviewers that all of the recent and new Star Wars lore and details from current stories are not in there, and finally there weren’t any storylines of Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Order restoration arc because a month ago I saw YouTube reviews about that along with the book.The book is a first step for new Star Wars fans, intriguing to read, and we [the Star Wars fans and readers including me] want to congratulate the many authors for the hard work into this excellent book.Thank you LucasFilms!!!Ver másVer menos
