another great read from Elin Hildebrand
Loved this book. So many back stories and the characters are all so interesting and appealing. Have read it twice and looking forward to seeing the mini series soon. (Just hope they do a better job than they did with The Perfect Couple)

i mean if you want a “beach read”
A quintessential summer read with amazing character development and a great plot. I really enjoyed reading about all the different women and their experiences and marks they left on the protagonist’s life. I was a little disappointed with the “big reveal” at the end and how it was handled but if you’re looking for a pleasant sit on your pool lounger with a cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc 😉 this one is for you.Ver másVer menos

excellent story
There were so many true to life moments in this book. Loved the friendships and feel like I have been in some similar situations with my friends. Such an excellent read!

Great story!
This book is the perfect beach read! In my opinion, I think that there was way too much description about the food though.Hollis Shaw, the creator of "Hungry with Hollis" the popular food blog is married to Matthew, the handsome heart surgeon, and mother to Caroline. On a snowy day in December, Dr. Matthew Madden left for the airport after having a big argument with his wife, Hollis about missing their annual Christmas party. A few hours later, the police show up telling Hollis that he died in a car accident. That's when her world fell apart.Six months later, Hollis opens up their summer home in Nantucket and decides to host a "Five-Star Weekend" where you have a best friend from each phase of your life. So Hollis tries to copy that concept and invites five friends to her home and one of her subscribers from her blog (who she has never even met but has shared her secrets with). But nothing goes as planned. Each woman invited has their own issues going on in their lives. Her daughter, Caroline, who has issues with her mom and is still grieving her dad, finally gets to know the real woman behind the perfect exterior. But one guest is about to blow up Hollis's world again.A must read!Ver másVer menos

Changed my perspective on reading! LOVED IT.
This is positively the best book I’ve ever read. As a teenager who finds herself scrolling on her phone and deeming herself to “not be a reader” rather to actually almost hate reading; I finished this book in DAYS. Delivered on the 11th and I finished it at 2 AM on the 18th. The plot is delicious, the food depictions made me hungry, the secrets had me OUT LOUD GASPING, and the character development was tear jerking. Absolutely flawlessly written and is the reason I bought two more books. If anyone claims they ‘don’t like reading’, I’m recommending this 100%.Ver másVer menos
