Great controller, minor issues
The controller is very comfortable and responsive. The adjustable tension of the thumb sticks is my favorite feature. The additional "Pro" buttons work well and are easily remapped on-the-fly, though you need to remember the exact button combo to do this. Vibration feels slightly imbalanced/heavier on the left vs the right, but the Software X app allows this to be somewhat adjusted. This is a minor issue which I only noticed while actively looking for problems, I don't notice it during gameplay. The grip is rubberized and textured, I like how it feels. The ABXY buttons have a crisp, satisfying 'pop' when you press them in. The packaging is nice. It included the controller, the charging base (with dongle connected internally), and a long, color-matched USB C-to-USB-A cable, a 1 month trial for Gamepass, and an instruction booklet. The controller face is attached magnetically and the D-pad is easily removable; it does not include any additional faces or D-pads.Their "Ultimate Software X" makes it easy to configure and test, though it did forget/delete all of my custom profiles once after moving from PC to Xbox. I haven't tested again so I'm not sure if this will happen every time. I primarily use this on PC.Complaint -- The 8BitDo "Wireless USB Adapter 2 for Switch 2" ( https://www.amazon.com/8Bitdo-Wireless-Compatible-Controller-Bluetooth/dp/B09M8CVMYF/ ) explicitly states that it supports "all 8BitDo Bluetooth controllers", but it does not connect to this controller. I hope/expect this will be added in a future firmware update, but currently "8Bitdo Ultimate 3 Wireless Controller for Xbox" does NOT work with "8BitDo Wireless USB Adapter 2" when in Bluetooth mode.Another minor complaint -- The dongle is USB Type C, which means it won't work with an Xbox on its own. It only works by plugging the dongle into the charging base, and plugging the charging base into the Xbox. A dongle with USB Type A would have been a better idea for this controller's intended use. I'm sure a separate USB C-to-USB A adapter would work fine if you don't want to connect the charging base to the Xbox.Ver másVer menos
