state of the art projector, a great value
We ordered the Himovies Mini Projector to use primarily with our Karaoke equipment. The projector has some great features such as WiFi and Bluetooth and a nice zoom range. The setup is extremely simple. Auto focus function seems to work effortlessly and keystone is easy and close to perfection. It offers full 1080P HD resolution.The color fidelity and sharpness are excellent due to a high quality five-layer glass lens. This unit supports projection from the front/side/ceiling or an odd angle. This really comes in handy. Simply hit the button on the remote and within a few sections the projector will adjust to be straight on the screen or whatever surface you might be using. Amazing.The projector weighs about 3.85 pounds so it is light and easy to carry with a large handle that becomes the stand. The rear projection comes in handy to project our QR Code used for the Karaoke Program, making it easy for our friends to scan and connect to 55,000 songs offered through the software.The sound is quite good and there is no need to hook up additional sound. The remote control works great requiring two AAA batteries. The picture quality is good for events, gatherings or backyard movie night. This projector really is “plug and play.”It even comes with its own screen which we can hang with string or bungee cords for use in just about any location, especially outdoors. There is an HDMI connection so a laptop can project anything, using numerous applications.No cons to this projector, including the price. A great product and a great value.Ver másVer menos

Really Impressive Little Projector
I was never sold on the idea that our family needed a projector. My wife thought it would be nice for backyard movie nights and college football parties and that was enough to sell me on finding a projector.Enter the Himovies Projector - the very DEFINITION of ‘Plug and Play.’ After putting batteries in the remote (not included) and turning it on, I was watching Netflix in less than 5 minutes.Upon initially turning it on, I noticed it has an autofocus feature. EXTREMELY handy as I thought I’d for sure be struggling to get a clear picture.Speaking of picture, the quality is really mind blowing for how small this projector is and the overall price.Built in speakers aren’t terrible by any means, but it does allow for Bluetooth connectivity as well.I did notice there was a noticeable lag between video and audio when streaming from my phone, but the built in apps are pretty good. Outside of the apps and being able to hook up a DVD player or computer, I can’t imagine that I would streaming from my phone much anyways.One reviewer complained that the remote needed to be pointed in a specific spot on the projector; I couldn’t replicate this issue.I thought the user interface was really intuitive and snappy.Currently on offer for $200, I think it’s a great gift to get your family so you can have those backyard movie nights, late night gaming parties with the neighbors’ kids, and college football watch parties. Okay as a projector, but frustrating in other ways: UPDATED - good customer service
Before I get into the sources of frustration, let me tell you what is right about this product. It is a nice projector and compared to other ones of similar design that I've seen from other people, it has a good picture. It is very flexible in that it can connect to many different devices and you can even stream from it (although I haven't tested that - I used an HDMI cable connected to a laptop). It can be mounted various ways and adjusted to compensate for odd angles (not perfectly, but well enough). It comes with a remote control - and that is where the rub began.They've used an infrared signal that is very weak and has to be pointed in just the right spot to control the projector. It is also very slow to recognize the signal you are sending it, so sometimes you'll try a few buttons and not get the one you wanted because the thing is trying to catch up to the first signal it got, that you weren't sure it actually received because of how weak the signal is.My second test of self-control came from the included screen and the hooks that came with it. I wanted to mount the screen to a wall that had a few paintings that I wanted to cover up instead of taking down and having to rehang them. I used the hooks that came with double-sided tape and the weight of the screen pulled the hooks off of the wall (taking a little paint along with them). I then used another method to mount it to my wall and the brightness of the projector made the artwork behind the screen shine through. If they had given the screen a black backing, this would not have happened. Anywhere you hang the screen will show what is behind it and take away from the nice picture it has.It's because of these two sources of frustration that I can only give this three stars.UPDATE: The company contacted me a sent me a different screen that isn't see through and another remote. Good Quality Sound, Crisp Picture, Easy Setup!
This is a very impressive projector that's super easy to setup. Comes with everything you need to start watching movies on the big screen right away, and the screen is also included! Nice instruction manual that's user friendly and easy to follow, along with a great quick start guide too. Out of the box I immediately loved the all-in-one base stand that tilts to every angle you could possibly imagine and there's no need for an additional tripod; and can also be mounted to the ceiling. This projector connected to my WIFI on the first attempt with no problems, connecting it to my Netflix account was just as simple. Love that I don't need any additional streaming units like a Roku to use this. The innovative autofocus is amazing; love that I don't have to constantly adjust the image! This projector does it all! The sound quality was also quite a surprise! The sound is so good on this projector that an additional soundbar wasn't necessary. The remote control works great and is also really simple to figure out right away; it does require two AAA batteries that are not included so you'll need to purchase those separately. The picture quality is actually phenomenal! Great projector all the way around! Perfect for events, gatherings, or backyard movie night! No cons at all! Highly recommend!!Ver másVer menos

Very Impressive Projector
This is an awesome little projector! There are so many great things about it, here are my favorites:-The setup process is extremely simple. All I had to do was power it on near a blank wall, and it automatically adjusted the focus and keystone of the picture so it was perfectly clear and rectangular. Then I was guided through a setup process to connect it to WIFI and it was working!-The onboard smart projector firmware is really good. It has native access to YouTube, Netflix, a browser, and other web-based streaming services, and it even has a speaker! This projector alone is all you need if that's what you prefer. Of course it does have input options like component, USB, and HDMI too.-It's settings just make sense. I can have it adjust focus and keystone on boot or on movement (it detects when it is moved with an accelerometer). It also turns on and off automatically with my Apple TV, so I never have to touch the included remote.There are very few negatives with this product. It's remote is IR, so sometimes it does not register clicks unless the remote is pointed right at the sensor. It also sometimes looks blurry around the edges if the keystone adjustment is too drastic. But otherwise this is a great LED projector that I foresee lasting a while.Ver másVer menos

Easy to use, good picture quality
This is my first projector, so I didn’t want to start with anything too complicated or packed with features. I wanted to use the projector for watching movies and shows, and maybe even using my Mac laptop with the screen projected.This projector is perfect for my usage needs. The box includes everything: the projector, the power cord (slim cord, not a brick), an AV signal cord, a HDMI cord, the remote, a lens cap, and even a projector screen.The instructions have text and photos to show setting up an iPhone, an Android phone, a Mac, and a Windows computer. You can also connect the projector to a DVD player or a flash drive. Supported video formats are AVI, FLV, MKV, MOV, MP4, MPG, and VOB.The auto-focus made it easy for me to get a clear picture, and I was surprised by how little setup I had to do! I think the picture quality is fantastic, and I might finally make it through my backlog of movies and shows I want to watch.Ver másVer menos
