Incompatible with some devices. Voltage can exceed 5V USB spec. Good for about 2.2A max (hot)
The adapter seems to reset several times when first connected. With some devices it just reset indefinitely.Emits a hiss sound under some load, audible a couple feet away. Noticed at 0.6A.Unloaded, I saw the voltage range from 5.29 to as high as 5.39V. The higher voltage was seen when the module was heated up after running with a load. Either way, both of these voltages the acceptable voltage range for USB devices (5.25V).It took at least 0.1A load to bring the voltage down to 5.25V, and it only seems to settle around 5.2V with higher loads.At 1A load, temps stayed around or under 60°C. At 1.5A load, temps were around 65°C. This is about the most I feel comfortable loading this under normal circumstances.== Max load testing ==Voltage dropped significantly after 2.22A, and collapsed to 3.7V by 2.24A. Increasing the load didn't have any effect after that.After a period at 2.2A, the voltage dropped to 3.8V. By then the module was heated up to 75°C on some surfaces. I had to drop the current to 2.18A for it to recover.Ultimately the highest surface temperature I recorded was 78°C.Ver másVer menos

POE to USBC , 5 volts at 2amps- NOT 2.4 amps- but very solid at 5v@2amp
This p o e to USBC adapter works very well. The listing is incorrect however because it indicates 5 volts 2.4 amps however that is not what this device is capable of. The device is in fact a very capable POE adapter but it's output is limited. The output is strictly limited to 5 volts at 2 amps which is exactly what is printed on the adapter itself.I ran an extensive test on this adapter using my load tester. I had the device output 5 volts at 2 amps for over 2 hours. The device only became slightly warm but did very consistently put out 5.1 volts at 2 amps no problem.However the second that I attempted to pull over two amps like 2.1 amps the device would immediately shut down and cut off all power output,I've tested very many POE adapters probably over 20 different brands at this point. What I can tell you is this is a very solid POE adapter with no voltage sag when it's outputting 5 volts at a solid two amps. However the adapter will immediately shut down if over two amps is drawn from it.Despite the falsehood in the listing I can confidently recommend this adapter as a solid reliable power supply for 5 volts at 2 amps. Of course since I've just obtained the product I don't know about its longevity but hopefully it will last a long time. And the device is also waterproof and comes with waterproof connectors.Ver másVer menos
