Great camera and easy to use

The Meeting S caught my attention with several striking features, so I had to try it. The camera is high quality, offering a remarkable 180-degree video range. It intelligently identifies the person speaking without requiring to adjust the viewing angle, which is a standout aspect. The speakers are very good and can get loud to fill our 20x20 rooms. It is engineered provide noise-free, clear conversations. What makes this product truly unique is the Android OS. It functions as its own standalone videoconference system when connected to a monitor. Very flexible and easy to download Zoom and Cisco Webex. It is very convenient to plug in a mouse to the USB A port instead of using the included remote for controlling the Android OS. It is much more intuitive to click and start a meeting with the mouse option and for entering log in credentials. It is great to use for smaller conference rooms when placed at the front of the room. Attendees on the remote end can hear me through the mics without an issue. Overall, this is a great alternative to video bars.Ver más

Sleek design and easy to use!

First thing I noticed when I took the device out of the box was the privacy cover. The sleek design looks like an astronaut when it hides the lens cover. This device is really easy to set up and use. I just needed to plug into power and then connect it to the computer.I mostly use this as a Bring your own device for my meetings. I would set it in the front of the room and it doesn’t take up too much space. It is a much more cost-friendly option compared to a lot of the video bars out there. The audio on this camera is really clear and I was able to hear my coworkers nice and loud through the device. They were also very surprised to see the different views. The speaker tracking feature is convenient to use when I have two or three people in the room with me. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a portable all in one conferencing device.Ver más

Good device - Bad Customer Service

The AC adapter came apart several times. When I notified the company, they said the camera was still under warranty, but the AC adapter wasn't covered. The warranty should cover everything that makes the device function.

Functions, but miserable video quality display ratio.

I can't use this, so it's going back. We've had a Facebook Meta Portal camera for $30 that we use with a 65 inch screen for a long time, but it only has conferencing support for Zoom. But compared to this, the Portal camera is 10x better. This fisheye lens gets presented in a square letterboxed window, which makes for the stupidest resolution and poorest picture imaginable, the distortion is extreme and the resolution looks like about 1/4 of what we get from the Portal camera. Meanwhile, if you sit this anywhere other than right in front of you (we are trying to get 5 or 6 people in view at a table facing the camera) then 1/2 your picture ends up being the ceiling and table or whatever surface is below it. It's not like anyone is going to be out shooting action camera drone footage where you need this fisheye view, so minimally the camera should allow for cropping the display to a 16:9 or 16:10 display, but have a 4x3 or whatever the native format is makes the resolution appear all that more abhorrent. Consequently, I wouldn't use this camera on anyone via a conference. It must go back.Ver más

Great Hardware and Software design

I love the well-thought design of this camera and the different ports for HDMI, USB A, USB C and ethernet port. Having HDMI OUT makes it easy to connect to splitter for multiple screens. My Wifi sometimes gets overloaded with too many devices on the network. So I appreciate that this device has an ethernet port for a stable video call connection. The privacy lens is a huge plus to cover the camera when I am not using it.The Android OS is very unique.. I have not seen this feature in many other video bars and conferencing equipment. It is really easy to connect to video conferencing platforms like Zoom and Google Meet. Our company uses these two the most, but occasionally uses Cisco Webex as well. It was surprising all of these worked on the device. The different modes took some getting used to, but I do like having the options to change to different views. My remote co-workers are always surprised with the different frames and how responsive the system is to tracking speakers. Overall, this is a good conference device to place in the front of room set ups.Ver más

Great Video Conference Camera

The installation process of this camera is incredibly straightforward and efficient. I was pleasantly surprised that all it required was a simple connection to both a power source and my laptop. For those seeking a stable connection beyond Wi-Fi, the device conveniently provides an array of ports, including HDMI, USB-C, and Ethernet. The camera's compact design is a standout feature, as it allows for easy transportation and setup in various environments. Its lightweight nature makes it a perfect companion for both stationary and on-the-go use.Ver más

Great Hardware, User Experience Needs WORK!

I very much wanted to love this, but unfortunately the shortcomings for my use case can't be mitigated.First the good. The camera is excellent and I LOVE the 180 degree video range. I also very much love that the video modes are controllable with a physical button, so I can swap between big-ass view, more narrow view, or a view that shows the speaker. The system is intelligent and does ID the person speaking quite well, and does NOT rely on a physical swivel for the camera. It is neat.Sound is also quite good, with decent microphones and sound. It does a good job with sorting out noise as well, so meetings where several people are talking won't confuse the system.Alas, that's where my goodwill starts to fade. Because I can get this utility, frankly, from any number of webcams and conference room speakers. Where is the differentiation?I'm told it's the integration of software into this system to make it a standalone device. OK, let's explore that. This thing does have the capability of running independently of any computer, BUT there are some really serious hoops you have to jump through. First is that this is something that runs on Android, and what looks to be a custom-puff Android interface at that. However, that interface is at times a baffling ordeal. Case in point - my main use here was to use this to enable an off-the-grid conference room to be able to dial into Microsoft Teams meetings. That's it. In order to get there I had to go through all kinds of bother, from registering the device which necessitated me to create a Google account which also meant I needed to run this through corporate Infosec for network access before I could finally download the app which I couldn't do via Google Play without specifying a payment method for a free app and then navigate an app that is inconsistent with the overall Android implementation on the unit. Whew.Although I'll give you the summary - it was a pain, and even at that it's not working like it should. It has it's own Microsoft account (the Teams app didn't like me using my login from two devices) which complicates things like meeting presentations and such. In other words, this is not a drop-in solution. There are other nits too, like menu navigation and item setup that are frustrating, but just add that to the overall issue of not putting the user experience in front of the product design. And we then get to how I get the best use out of this item....Yep, I use it connected to a computer as an external camera/speaker, with the meeting room screen as a second monitor where I share meeting content with the attendees. It's clunky, esp when compared to the promise of having an all-in-one drop-in solution to avoid something like that. The image/sound quality of the unit mitigates it somewhat, but only somewhat. A truly elegant solution would have a much more polished/refined operating system that I'm not fighting every step of the way to do something simple. And that's perhaps my biggest gripe. So really, from one perspective (hardware) it does a very good job when used in conjunction with a computer. From another (software and user experience) it stumbles really very badly. It did solve one small problem for me (two separate devices now consolidated into one) but the larger problem (setting up a conference room that doesn't require an attendee to sign in with a laptop) remains. As such, I think this item is...OK. Not great and not wowing me.

The easiest set up ever for my MacBook Pro M2

I cannot believe how easy this is to set up. I literally just plugged it in to the wall and then plugged it in using a USB – C to USB -C cable (it didn’t come with this cord, I just grabbed one for my iPad, it comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable) that connected directly to my 2021 16”MacBook Pro M2. I opened up FaceTime and right there in the video drop menu was the Kandao meeting setting for camera microphone and output. I didn’t have to install any software or anything. It was literally the easiest set up I have ever done.Video was clear and showed the different angles just like in the listing. Love it!I definitely recommend this. It’s worth the money.Great item! There’s so many ports! You can put in a microSD card, you can select if you want 1080 P or 720 P. It’s so small is easy to travel with. It’s pretty lightweight as well. A really great product. Definitely recommend it.Ver más
