High-Quality Cosplay Magic at a Big-Box Price!
I picked up this hooded cape set for some fun cosplay dress-up and grown-up character play with my fiancé. I was looking for something dramatic with that witchy, gothic vibe, and this set delivered. It feels like something you'd buy at a high-end Halloween specialty shop, but at a fraction of the cost.Product Details & Build QualityCape Material: 100% plush velvet fabric with a rich purple finish and smooth drape.Accessory Materials: Sturdy alloy metal chains and thick, vibrant red acrylic gems.Included Components: Oversized hooded velvet cloak with neck ties, 1 red gem chain belt, 3 round red brooch pins, and 1 diamond-shaped red forehead gem.Color / Style Tested: Purple-150.Care Instructions: Hand wash cold and line dry for the velvet cloak; wipe metal/acrylic accessories clean with a dry cloth. The cape itself is phenomenal. The oversized hood gives it such a dramatic look, and the drawstring closure at the neckline keeps it comfortable and secure. The red gems on the accessories were a huge pleasant surprise—they are surprisingly heavy, bright, and vibrant rather than cheap-looking plastic. As a 5'6", 215 lb woman with an hourglass figure, I did find that the gem chain belt was a bit too small to wear comfortably around my waist, even hooked on the very end. But here is my styling hack: I draped the chain belt around my neck as a gorgeous, oversized statement statement necklace instead! It looked super cute and elevated the whole look. I attached two of the round red brooches to my wrists and kept the third as a backup.Honestly, the quality of the velvet cape alone is worth the entire price tag, so getting the full set of jewel accessories is a massive bonus. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a gorgeous cosplay or Halloween set without spending a fortune!Ver másVer menos

Broken Belt - very thin fabric cape
This costume set is disappointing. The belt arrived broken. I think I can fix it, but still, I shouldn’t have to. The pins were all in good shape. The purple cape is a nice color. The length is perfect and the hood works well over my head. The material though, is super thin and somewhat see through. I was expecting a thicker, velvety cape. It’s far from that.Overall, this set is not the best quality.Ver másVer menos

Cute Cloak, Sizing is Smaller
The cloak itself is cute for a basic, easy to throw together Halloween costume. I picked a purple velvet cloak to go with my witch costume, wherein I plan to wear a black dress underneath the cloak and a witches hat. The jewels included in the set are not my favorite, but are a neat addition to a bargain set.I ordered the shorter one (the 130) and am 5’5” and 140lbs. This fits to my mid calf in length and only covers around the side of my torso and hips, so it does run narrow and does not wrap all the way around. The hood is smaller than expected, but does drape decently well once worn in a bit. I love the tie closure for easy on and off. The purple color is true to the product photos. The velvet-looking material (polyester) is semi-sheer but does provide a surprising amount of warmth when worn over short sleeves, so this will be a great outer layer for colder Halloween weather. For about $17, this was a decent find for a quick and easy costume.Ver másVer menos

Absolute junk
I wanted so badly to like this, but it’s Temu/dollar store junk. The belt is okay; about what I expected. It fit my daughter, who is petite, but not me, who wears plus sizes. The pins are about the same quality. The forehead jewel doesn’t come with adhesive, so you just have to figure out how to use it. The cloak is ridiculously awful. It isn’t designed for broader shoulders. The fabric, while soft, is so thin, you can clearly see through it. You could get a better quality at Walmart. The length is about 5ft tall, give or take.Don’t waste your money on this.Ver másVer menos

Nice costume set
5 piece costume set, including 1 purple cloak, 1 red accent gem, red accent belt and 3 red accent pins. For reference, I'm 5'0" tall and wear a size 16, so I'm a short, bigger gal. I ordered the cloak in the 130 option.First off, I LOVE that I had the option to order a shorter cloak! It falls to my ankles but it's not dragging the ground and I'm not tripping over it! This isn't an option I commonly come across - they're usually either really long, or around knee length. It's not quite wide enough to meet in the middle if I pull the edges together, but it's close enough that it doesn't look too small. It lays across the shoulders fine, and has plenty of space to tie at the neck like it should. The material is a thin velvet. Keep in mind that this is costume quality, and while it looks nice, the material is thin. The belt, pins and accent gem are made of the same plastic and color. The belt and pins are set in a gold toned metal. To be honest, I hadn't realize it came with the accent gem and when I dumped it all out my first thought was a piece had broken off! That is absolutely not the case - it's supposed to be there. Again, this is costume quality - it looks good overall, but it looks like what it is under closer inspection. One of the gems on the belt did have a scratch on it, but it's minor and does not affect the integrity of the piece. The stitching on the cloak is smooth and even. The gems are well secured into the belt. This isn't a 'wear it one time' set and should last through several nights out. It's worth the purchase.Ver másVer menos
