A Thoughtfully Formulated Korean Eye Cream That Hydrates & Brightens
As I've gotten older, I've accepted that my under-eyes have become the first place to announce every late night, allergy season, stressful week, and birthday before the rest of my face gets the memo. My skincare routine has slowly turned into a bit of a science experiment, and I'm always on the lookout for products that can simplify things instead of adding another step.That's what caught my attention about Dr. Melaxin's Mela C·E Ferulic Eye Cream. Rather than focusing on just one concern, it combines retinal, vitamin C, ferulic acid, niacinamide, and hydrating ingredients into one formula that targets dark circles, fine lines, discoloration, and overall skin texture.The first thing I noticed was the texture. It has a lightweight cream consistency that spreads easily without feeling greasy or heavy. A tiny pea-sized amount is honestly all you need for both eyes, so despite the tube looking small, it should last quite a while. For around $26, I actually think that's a very fair value considering how little product is needed with each application.One thing I especially appreciated is that it doesn't have a strong fragrance. If there is any scent at all, it's extremely light and fades almost immediately. Since the eye area can be sensitive, I much prefer skincare that doesn't overwhelm me with perfume.Hydration was immediate. My under-eye area felt noticeably softer and more comfortable after applying it, and it layered beautifully under moisturizer and sunscreen without pilling. It also absorbed quickly enough that I didn't have to wait forever before applying makeup.Because this contains retinal and other active ingredients, I followed the recommendation to introduce it gradually instead of jumping into daily use. I think that's good advice for anyone using retinal products around the eyes for the first time. Starting slowly let my skin adjust comfortably while still allowing me to benefit from the formula.After consistent use, I started noticing my under-eye area looking smoother and more refreshed overall. The fine lines around the outer corners looked a little softer, and my under-eyes appeared brighter and less tired. It's not one of those products that performs miracles overnight, but that's exactly what I expect from well-formulated skincare. The improvements came gradually and looked natural rather than dramatic.I also appreciate the ingredient list. Retinal, vitamin C, ferulic acid, niacinamide, and hydrating ingredients are all ingredients I actively look for individually, so having them combined into one eye treatment makes my routine simpler without feeling like I'm sacrificing effectiveness.Overall, I've been really impressed with this eye cream. It delivers excellent hydration, feels elegant on the skin, contains ingredients I trust, and has shown gradual improvements in brightness and fine lines with consistent use. I love love LOVE Dr. Melaxin products, y'all! This eye cream is THE eye cream to have! The end all be all! I've completely stopped using my others, all of which are ultra high-end and ridiculously expensive that don't even do half the work that this Mela C-E Ferulic eye cream does 🥰First thing that surprised me when opening the box was how big the tube is! You get A LOT of product for a fraction of the cost in comparison. It's almost the size of a tube of mascara, y'all! My others are the size of lip treatments 🙄 DEFINITELY WORTH IT!A little goes a long way! You DO NOT need 3 dots of it under each eye, I promise ✋🏼 I've been using tiny lil dollops, about the size of a watermelon seed (or smaller) to use for both eyes! I'm a 40yr old beach bum that didn't take my skincare as seriously as I wish I'd have and it's all showing now. Please believe me when I say THIS WORKS and it works FAST (like all Dr. Melaxin products do).I'm not going to list the ingredients because they're already listed on the description, but this tube is packed with all of the good stuff and none of the bad 💛 It's VERY hydrating, I can't stress that enough, but without the greasy feel!Where it has retinol I've been applying it at night where I'm out in the sun so much instead of using in the mornings. My skin is already used to retinol but if you're new I'd recommend following the directions, starting out slow, like every other day/night, then work your way up to daily.I love the way it feels, too! I'd describe it as more gel-like out of the tube but when applying it acts more like a cream (if that makes sense 😆). It absorbs pretty quickly and doesn't just sit on your skin.I haven't noticed a fragrance at all, if there is one it's very faint.You get results FAST! I've had puffy eyes my entire life, they're hereditary 😑 The wrinkles are newer though. Y'all I'm not exaggerating when I say that I saw a difference under my eyes the next morning! With nightly use my under eyes look like they did 5+ years ago and I've had it less than a week! I have literally nothing to gain from this review. I'm not an influencer or sponsor or anybody to hype this up for, it's just THAT AMAZING! It really is the only eye cream you'll ever need 🤗 10/10, 5 stars, 100% RECOMMEND! Hydrating Eye Treatment, but the Texture Takes Some Getting Used To
I’ve been using this eye treatment for a while now, and there are some things I really like about it, but the texture is not my favorite.The formula is more like an ointment than a traditional eye cream. It spreads smoothly, and although it looks orange in the tube, it blends in completely without leaving any color behind. It’s also fragrance-free and hasn’t irritated my sensitive skin, which is a big plus for me.A little goes a long way, so the tube should last quite a while. I also like that I don’t need much product for each application.The biggest downside for me is the finish. It leaves a tacky feeling under my eyes that doesn’t fully absorb, and the thicker ointment-like texture feels a little heavier than what I personally prefer for an eye product. If too much product is applied, it can also start to pill, so a very small amount works best.After using it consistently, I haven’t noticed a significant difference in my dark circles or brightening under my eyes like I was hoping to see.Overall, this is a decent eye treatment, especially if you like a richer, more moisturizing formula. It’s gentle on my sensitive skin and has some nice qualities, but I personally prefer an eye cream that absorbs completely and leaves a smoother, non-tacky finish.Ver másVer menos

Easy to Apply Lightweight Gel, Hydrating and Effective
I’ve used various retinol and retinal eye creams nightly for the past decade, and this one is easily one of my favorites. I’m a huge fan of Dr.Melaxin products, so I was excited to try this Mela-C·E Ferulic Eye Cream. First and most importantly, this product works. It evens out my skin, hydrates, and brightens my undereyes. I love the texture and slip of this peach-colored gel. The consistency is lightweight, and this eye cream absorbs well and is non-greasy. I squeeze out teensy amounts, dotting it on my orbital bone and gently working my way up and out. Or sometimes, to warm the gel up for even better seamless application, I place a lentil-sized dot on my pointer finger and then tap my two pointer fingers together, swirl, then apply to my undereyes. Because I have dry, dehydrated, mature skin, I find it best to use the sandwich method when applying any retinal products, especially under my eyes, even though I am acclimated to the ingredient. I apply this eye cream over a few hydrating essences and a milky toner, then top it off with a moisturizer to seal it in. When I first started using retinal eye creams, I started slowly, every third night, then every other night, then every night, because I knew I wanted to be consistent and be able to use retinal for the long haul. This formula has an impressive ingredient deck totaling 63 ingredients, including 3 types of Retinoids, 8 Antioxidants, 3 Ceramides, and 3 Types of Hyaluronic Acids. Glycerin, Hyaluronic Acid, Polyglutamic Acid, Bisabolol, Adenosine, Ceramides, Vitamin E, and Panthenol, to name a few, are hydrating. I did not experience any irritation or sensitivity, nor detect any scent using this eye cream nightly for over three weeks. What I did notice is hydration, smoothness, brightness, and less crepiness. Compared to other eye creams I have used, this Mela-C·E Ferulic eye cream has exceptional performance. It is well-priced, especially for .52 ounces, which I estimate will last a minimum of three months because a little goes a long way.Ver másVer menos
