Works with other brands too
I either didn't read the description correctly or it changed, but I thought this was meant for another brand of hair tools when I ordered. When it arrived, I compared it to the brush that came with my air wrap and it looks almost exactly the same. The bristles on the AFDD brush are slightly longer, and the width of the brush is slightly bigger, but this is almost the exact same brush that came with my air wrap, so if you have another brand of hair tool, this will also work for you. Using was easy, just slip over the power cord, then use to remove any existing dust that collected in your filter. The brush did a decent job, but I did go over the filter with a small vacuum to get the remaining dust. Overall the design is almost identical to the brush that is made by a different brand, the size is similar and is easy to use, and this is an ok value. If you compare it to a name brand brush though, this is actually more expensive and I don't think it performs better comparatively.Ver másVer menos

A toothbrush works just as well
The AFDD hairdryer filter cleaner arrived loosely packed - it's a straightforward product that requires next to no instructions. This open round brush made of sturdy, hard plastic with 4 rows of tightly packed bristles on the inside. Measures 2.5" across with a 0.6" width. The surface is smooth and feels well-made, looks like a perfect match for my Shark FlexStyle.Once I pulled down my tool's filter cover, it was easy to fit brush around the handle - make sure to put cord through the hole. This brush works best if spun or wiggled around the filter, it removes trapped lint, hair, dead skin cell buildup for easy airflow. My shark immediately felt more powerful not to mention sounded better as well. I did feel I had to be vigorous to get the job done properly - my preferred method is old toothbrush as it gives me a better, more precision and faster cleaning experience.Brush washes clean with water and soap, low maintenance and uncomplicated, just the way I like it.For all intents and purposes the brush works exactly as advertised even if it ends being a bit cumbersome to clean with. I personally don't find it helpful or necessary, but it's great value for money if a fancy Shark FlexStyle filter cleaner is on your wishlist.Ver másVer menos

Better Than the Toothbrush Workaround Shark Actually Recommends
If you use a Shark FlexStyle, Glam, or SpeedStyle attachment, lint and debris collect in the filter at the bottom of the handle. Shark’s own recommendation for cleaning it? A toothbrush. This ring-shaped brush is a much more elegant solution.Unlike a toothbrush, this tool is designed to wrap around the handle itself, so it makes full contact with the filter as you slide it up from the bottom. You work it back and forth and it pulls lint and debris out cleanly — no awkward angles, no improvising. The bristles are firm and sturdy, which means they actually grab debris rather than just pushing it around. One didn’t come included in my Shark kit, so I was previously making do with whatever was handy. This is a simple upgrade that just makes the maintenance process easier and more effective. If you own any of the compatible Shark attachments and want a cleaner solution than digging around with a toothbrush, this is worth adding to your kit.Photos included showing the ring design and fit at the base of the handle.Ver másVer menos

Easy cleaning
This little brush is just what my hair dryer needed. It's a simple little tool that cleans the intake port in seconds. Once I figured out how to pull the guard off the hair dryer, it literally took seconds to slip the brush on, rotate a few times, and the intake was clean again. It fits well around the intake and holds just enough pressure to clean with the bristles. It's surprising just how much build up affects performance. After using this cleaning brush, I could really feel the difference in the airflow. This thing works beautifully.Ver másVer menos

Fits and cleans well
This filter cleaning brush works well and the design fits the Shark FlexStyle filter area nicely. The bristles are firm enough to grab and remove built-up debris, and my styler definitely performs better after a good filter cleaning. That said, a basic toothbrush can do the same job for less money. I had been using an old one for this purpose before trying this. If you like having a dedicated tool that fits well and feels purpose-built, this is a solid option. If you’re just looking for function, you already have something at home that works just as well.Ver másVer menos
