Small and big at the same time

I have an Android, Samsung S26 Ultra, at first I plugged it into my phone and my phone did recognize it but it asked about who would control it and I chose me, my phone but it kept kicking me out. So I just downloaded the SanDisk app, which took only a few minutes. They didnt ask for any information like your name, address, phone number, blood...lol. Easy, I was able to copy over 900 photos and videos in under 3 min. Than it asks you if you want to delete the photos from your phone, nice, but I opted out of that for now. Nicely compact, lives up to its speed claims, came with a good cable.

It is nicely compact. It fits easily in the pocket, easily in the palm of the hand except for the wire possibly, but there's not much you can do about the wire because the transfer rate is to some extent, dependent on the wire as much as the drive. I tested this on my M1 Max MAC. If you look at my still photos or watch the video, I have included a screenshot of this test showing the speeds and it's read and write were both above 600. This is a decently fast drive that will definitely do what I need it to do. I am currently using it to transfer 4K video from my phone to my Mac without having to AirDrop it. I will also probably be using this drive to move files from my current Mac to my next Mac. It's definitely fast enough for both of these tasks. I like this drive. At the current price of $129.99, I found this to be a reasonably priced drive especially for such a respected name in hard drives. Considering the current prices in the marketplace for drives and memory. Although this may not be the fastest drive in the universe, but for the price, I felt that it was plenty fast enough, and I would not hesitate to recommend it.Ver más

Compact

This thing is tiny, as in it fits in my pocket. I'm kind of old school and the last hard drive I had was about the size of my current phone. Not too big, but nothing compared to this and I'm loving the portability of it. It's perfect for fitting in a desk drawer or taking on the go. Fits in my purse easily and there's enough space where I can pretty much use it for anything I need. My main use is media like photos and videos, and backing up documents and text files. Great for those purposes. Really easy to use with my laptop. Compatible with my Mac. No problems reading or writing data and the drive itself is pretty durable if I toss it around in my desk or purse or whatever. I try to be careful with it but you know how it goes sometimes. I think this thing is a great value and I'm really loving the functionality of it. Has made a really big difference in my day to day routine and it's made things a lot more convenient for me. I'm really happy with the quality of it and would definitely order again.Ver más

Assurance of quality and performance.

Anyone today that is into photography or even just technology in general, is aware of the incredible increase in the cost of disk storage in all formats. I have been wanting to back up my laptop for some time with an external drive and figured if I did not act now, I would be paying even more later and taking more of a chance of losing files if a failure occurred. I am using cloud storage for some of my data but also wanted to have local back up. I have purchased Sandisk SD cards in the past to use with my cameras with never having any issues. I was concerned that there were so many unknown brands popping up to sell this type of drive, but it is well known that Sandisk sets the standard in quality and performance. Upon receipt of the 1TB drive which has a read speed of 600 mps, I was a bit shocked to see how small it actually was, with only a USB3 port and a small hole for those who wish to add a lanyard.Ver más

I can distinctly remember the first time I ever got a 1GB flash drive. It was near unbelievable how small it was and it felt like it was basically impossible to ever fill it. Well, here we are. Now we’re zooming around with 1TB drives in our pockets.This portable drive is an excellent balance between storage and physical size. It’s small enough to literally fit in your pocket, and it blows a HDD out of the water for efficiency and speed in daa transfer. Very easy to use with simple plug and play with the included short USB-C cable.1TB is basically the norm for storage for now, so it’s nice to have this level of capacity with the flexibility of taking it anywhere. I travel a lot between buildings, so I appreciate its fairly durable construction. Not that I’d ever drop it. Oh, no, I’ve never done that before. Never, ever.Overall, this great combination of speed, capacity, and portability from a reliable brand.Ver más

Interestingly enough, the product title and description there is no mention of this being an SSD, and the picture for the product itself can be highly misleading because you don’t really know how big it is. There are very few mentions of this as an SSD or solid state drive. I wish that the advertisement and representation of this product were a lot more straightforward. But nonetheless, this SSD comes in a shockproof case, and they claim that you can drop it from 6 feet and it will survive without any problems. It is definitely faster than an SSD by nature, the way it is. Their overall speed of this, though, I can’t say is metier or high in SSD by any chance. Based on my testing, the speed I’m able to get linking up to my Mac computer comes out to about 672 MB per second, while the read sits around 614 MB per second consistently. There are certainly peaks and valleys in attesting, but so far these are the speeds that I’m getting on average. Not too bad, but I will argue that there are much faster SSDs out there. For the price point, I argue that there may be some external SSDs with a similar price point that can read and write at close to 1000 MB per second. The other thing you note about this is that it is much smaller than the majority of SSDs out there. It is definitely pocket-sized. The cable that it comes with is a USB Type-C to USB Type-C, and it works fairly well linking the device to the computer. The connector itself on the SSD is a USB Type-C. This is a solid product. It’s really designed as a hard drive replacement product. But I genuinely don’t think that this particular one represents the best value. As far as usability goes, this is compatible with Mac and PC. Reliability-wise, based on my testing, it has been good so far. The storage capacity one that I got is a 1 TB model, and the ease of use of these is fairly simple.
