Factory finish if done correctly!
My Galaxy Fold 6 started developing air bubbles under the folding screen after about 2 years of use and needed replaced. After watching several videos on how people handled this for the Galaxy Fold devices, I decided it wasn't too bad to attempt on my own. Samsung recommends taking it to them for replacement, but this turned out to be one of the easier DIY screen protectors installs I've done.After carefully removing the old film protector, I just followed the directions for installing the new one.I put the phone into the provided tray, which holds the phone and helps align the new screen protector. This tool is amazing! It helps hold the phone while you clean and dry the screen with the wipes and use the dust sticker to ensure no lint was left over. My hands aren't as steady as they used to be when I was younger, but this completely eliminated the need to hold the phone by its edges or trying to carefully align the film protector by hand. I wouldn't use any kit that didn't have this feature.After the screen was clean and dry, I used the provided felt-padded card to press-n-peel the new film protector into place. (Watch the video first to learn the technique.) This was also very easy to do and results in a factory finish if done correctly.I ended up with a perfectly smooth install, without any bubbles or dust under the film. The film protector looks just like the factory one and is a perfect fit for the Galaxy Fold 6. I'll give it 24-hours in the non-folded position to make sure it fully adheres before I try folding it. This was the advice given by several of the people I'd seen do this and it improves the adhesion.I appreciate that it comes with a front screen glass protector and camera lense protectors too, but I didn't need those yet. The ones I have installed that came with my case are still working well. Good to know I have spares though if I need them.Ver másVer menos
