  Interesting Top That Shifts Into a Lovely Fall Gourmand By The End!

  Dossier used to have the full notes on the bottles, and I wish they would do that again. There's a scenic scent description on the bottle, and there's the 3 main notes on the box itself, but who keeps the box? Also, often times the main notes don't always pick up the same on everyone's skin, which is one of the reasons I like the full notes. I do have to say though, as always, I do love Dossier's satisfying magnetic caps.For anyone also curious, here those full notes are:Top: The first notes you smell-Cardamom, Coconut, Carrot, AlmondMiddle: The heart of the perfume-Cedarwood, Rose, VioletBase: The notes that linger all day-Vanilla, Sandalwood, Benzoin, Musks, Tonka BeanAt first spray Vanilla Dreamer has a pretty decent hit of cardamom, followed by a more rooty like carrot and a little bit of almond. The coconut is super super faint on me, as I think it gets pretty drowned out by the spice.The mid shifts into a much more pleasant blend; softly woody with matching soft florals. The rose is gentle, and not grandmotherly.After full dry down, this keeps that soft woodiness and has just a little muskiness too. I get a sweet caramel type of scent with my skin, with the faintest bit of vanilla tailing. Interestingly, that spice comes back, much fainter, and blends so well that it makes this smell like a comforting Fall gourmand.While this is nothing like I thought it would be, it's one of those perfumes that blends with my skin SO well. I don't find it to be overly strong like Dossier's other new original perfumes, and I find that it gets softer pretty quick. Its more the type that you may smell lightly through your day but it won't be overly noticeable. I think this makes a great layering fragrance as well.I think if you're on the lookout for a new Fall fragrance that isn't overpowering and won't break the bank, this might be perfect for you!Ver másVer menos

  Cardamom

  This scent is very cardamom forward with no vanilla, sadly. It is soft and subtle and very very cardamom-y. I detect a hint of woodiness in the background, as well. It’s like opening an old wooden spice cabinet where the lid for the cardamom has been accidentally left open. It has a shorter projection and a longevity of 6 hours on my skin. Although it is not my personal taste, the quality is evident and I love dossier’s weighty glass bottles and magnetic lids.Ver másVer menos

  A tricky one by Dossier. Vanilla Dreamer is 1/4 of their collaboration with Madelyn Cline and it's a head-scratcher for sure. Spoiler alert: no vanilla.Standard Dossier bottle, clear with magnetic cap. Yellow juice. Might stain clothes, maybe it's not best to spray on white shirts. Atomizer of this one is leaky, could be because it was overfilled pressure pushing juice out of nozzle inadvertently trying to "breathe".Upon first spritz, Vanilla Dreamer is giving Dossier Woody Sandalwood (the brand's impression of Le Labo Santal 33). Where's Wally? I mean vanilla. Nowhere to be found. The pickle juice however is present and well. Sandalwood dill pickle.Thankfully doesn't last too long, 2-3 hours on skin tops. Sillage is great in the first half hour, my husband asked if I made him a Reuben sandwich. He thought he smelled sauerkraut - in his defence his nose isn't that great.Look, truth is it's a super affordable bottle with a proper marketing machine behind, if you like the scent profile, enjoy. Santal 33 has a cult following so if that's your jam, you'll love Vanilla Dreamer. Fragrance is subjective and this one makes me face numb.Ver másVer menos

  🌊🥥👙🩴 the best scent they’ve made so far!

  I’m ordering a second one! This is a vacation in a bottle! Scent is so subjective to each of us and I don’t smell vanilla at all, I smell a fresh creamy coconut drink that’s so rich and aromatic.. this is perfect for an island/beach vacation. It projects on me 6 plus hours then it softens to where only I smell it up close but I’ve had compliments on it when I’ve wore it, so getting 6 plus hours of it is great for me. If you know the more common “summer beach/tropical” scents that are viral at this time, this is better…. This is a grown woman vacation scent, not a body scent ….I smell no floral, no sunscreen type smell. My daughter thinks it smells like a deep rich cozy cashmere vanilla that you would wear at a mountain resort by the fire in a soft sweater. she’s ordered it for her fall fragrance.. So we smell two different scents from one fragrance. Thought I’d add both to help if you’re thinking about purchasing this. This really can go from summer to fall but I think the heat of summer is where this blossoms more. It’s just really good! If this is a scent profile you enjoy, you can’t go wrong with this.   Cardamom-Vanilla Dreamer is more like it

  To MY nose and body chemistry, this is not your typical gourmand vanilla in no sense of the word. It's more of a spicy take on vanilla. When I first spray the fragrance, I'm hit with sweet resinous aromatic and peppery note of cardamom. As this settles, the mid (heart) of this fragrance is heavy on cedarwood and, to my detection, a soft, powdery violet that is not disclosed in the list of notes. Fragrances are subjective so yeah. Moving forward to the base, the cardamom has softened considerably but still present, vanilla finally enters making it more airy, clean, and sophisticated, not that it wasn't already. It transitions into a warm, lactonic, skin scent, with projection. The blend of delicate vanilla, cozy sandalwood and skin musks, and a possible resinous tonka bean (another note that's not listed but my nose picks it up) that feels like I'm snuggled in a luxurious cashmere blanket, king-sized of course lol. This is one that actually lasts and projects on my skin. It is extremely flattering and versatility is perfect that it can be worn any time of the year, any occasion, any time of the day. Love the heavy, quality bottles they offer. The magnetic top adds luxury to it. Definitely worth the value and quality. The (effectiveness) longevity (beast-mode on me) and scent trail are both awesome!Ver másVer menos
