Great Auto TTL and Manual Mini Camera Flash for Nikon
I recently bought a Nikon Z50ii and even though it has a pop-up flash I wanted something with a little more power and flexibility. This is a very impressive little flash, the build quality is excellent, and you can tell immediately when you take it out of the box. I like the design, it's very compact.I'll say up front the one and only thing I found that I don't like is that you need to turn it on to charge it. Not a big deal, but you should be aware. And I do like that it charges with USB-C.The Automatic TTL modes have worked well with my camera. I included example images with and without the flash. It looks very natural, not overblown and bright like a lot of flashes. The color is a bit warmer than the camera's pop-up flash. You can also fire the flash manually by pressing the indicator light. I really like the manual controls as they are very easy to use.The recycle times are nearly instantaneous. Taking multiple photos one after the other I never had to wait. The included diffuser is nice also. It evens out the light a little bit. Probably not as much as a bounce or larger diffuser, but it is small as attaches easily.Not a negative, but being rechargeable means after the estimated 650 flashes, you can't just swap out batteries. I believe you can just plug it into a power bank and keep shooting though I haven't tried that yet. I think that will not happen very often as I don't think I'll need to shoot anywhere near that many flash photos in a row.This is a great flash, especially for the price. Impressive Compact Flash with Great Battery Life and Reliable TTL
Wow, I am very impressed with this flash. I have been using it for about two weeks now, and it has performed really well. The TTL mode works well in most situations and makes it easy to use when I want to move quickly, but the one thing that would make it even better is having exposure compensation in TTL mode. Sometimes the flash output is a little too bright, and in those cases I have to switch over to manual mode instead. Aside from that, this flash has been excellent.One of the biggest strengths is the battery life. This thing just keeps going. I have used it for full days while carrying it around on my camera and taking over 200 shots, and I still have not run out of battery. Since it is rated for up to 650 flashes, I can already tell it will serve me well for most shooting days. I also like that when it does need charging, it is very easy to top up with a USB-C charger, which makes it even more convenient for everyday use.I also really like the design. The flash looks unique, and the see-through section adds a nice aesthetic touch that makes it stand out in a good way on my everyday carry setup. Overall, this is a very capable compact flash with strong battery life, easy recharging, and dependable performance. If Viltrox adds TTL exposure compensation in a future version, it would be even better, but even as it is now, this flash is a beast.Ver másVer menos

A few steps above the SONY built in flash, and it looks kind of cool.
I’m not a professional photographer by any means, just a dad who really enjoys taking family pictures, and videos. I have several flashes for my SONY, and CANON cameras. Some are compact, others are large and bulky. All of them have their own advantages when capturing a moment. I ordered this VILTROX, not so much that I need another flash, but that it really looks kind of cool, and I pictured it sitting on top of my camera. Once I received it, I am more impressed, and excited about this flash, it has a sort of transformer look to it. LolIn the box is the SPARK flash, a flash diffuser, the USB-C charging cable, or power block was not included. I came with a warranty card, but did not include an operations manual. I was able to gain access to a manual through the VILTROX web site, which directed me to a third-party MANUAL download web site. Weighing in at a whopping 5.7oz this is a super compact flash, with a bunch of adjustments for your needs. It fully charged in less than an hour, and mounted very easy on my SONY A6400. All controls are clearly marked, and easily accessible. And, the color matches my camera. Auto, or manual controls, adjustable power levels, with a burst flash of approximately one second, makes this a very versatile, light weight flash. My camera has a built-in flash, but this not only exceeds the capabilities of the built in, it also easy to operate.Overall, a pretty cool addition to my camera bag. Looks cool, compatible with Nikon Z's!
First things first, this flash operates as intended with my Z30 and Z5ii cameras. I've had some problems with 3rd party flashes working properly with my Z cameras. But this one - no problems - on Auto it works as you'd expect.It doesn't pack a tremendous amount of output - relative to other compact flashes that I've used, it's in the same ballpark power-wise, but a bit larger. With that said, it's still compact enough to fit into an already-packed bag, and part of that slightly larger size is the style - it has a transparent window revealing some of the components, and a satisfyingly chunky control dial for nicely-fine-grained control over the output in manual mode. I'd rather use this than a slightly-smaller-but-much-duller compact flash - it's just more fun to look at and interact with.It uses an internal rechargeable battery, charges via USB-C, and can recycle very quickly from a full-power flash. It has the somewhat standard 'S1' and 'S2' remote triggering modes, too - so you can plant this flash somewhere and trigger it with your built-in or any other flash you might be running. If you have wanted to explore using flash in your photography, this is as good of a spot to start as any - automatic mode, manual mode, and some remote modes to play with, it looks cool, has pleasingly tactile controls, and it's not huge or expensive.Ver másVer menos

Compact flash that’s easy to carry and use
I like how compact and lightweight this flash feels. The transparent window design gives it a modern look, but more importantly, it stays easy to carry for travel, street photography, and regular day-to-day shooting.The TTL auto flash is a practical feature because it handles exposure for you, which makes it feel useful in changing light. I also like having the option to switch to manual mode and adjust through seven power levels when I want more control.The USB-C rechargeable battery and quick recycle time add to the convenience. Compact, lightweight and easy to use
This is a great little flash when I don’t want to carry a larger unit. I tested it with my Sony camera, and it worked without any problems. The power is adjustable from full down to 1/64, and it also has synchronous flash triggering mode and pre-flash avoidance flash triggering mode. I usually leave the removable diffuser attached because it gives me a softer light.The transparent housing is a nice touch and gives it a cool high-tech appearance. It’s small, lightweight and easy to throw into a camera bag. A good choice for anyone who wants a simple flash that can be mounted quickly when needed.Ver másVer menos
