A Fun Interactive Toy That Encourages Crawling
My 7 month old daughter is getting close to crawling, so I wanted to find a toy that would encourage her to move and explore. When I came across this dancing octopus, I thought it looked like a fun way to keep her engaged while motivating her to crawl after it.Assembly was very simple. All you have to do is attach the eight legs to the body of the octopus, and it's ready to go. We chose the purple version, and the color is bright, vibrant, and very eye catching.Once it's turned on, the octopus rolls around on wheels while its legs rotate, making it fun to watch. It also features music, a recording mode, and adjustable volume settings. I really like that you can choose between full volume, 50%, 25%, or completely mute it depending on your child's preferences.The eyes light up and move, and there is a magnetic star attached to the octopus's forehead that moves along with the eyes, adding another fun visual element. If the octopus bumps into furniture or another obstacle, it automatically changes direction and keeps moving, so it stays active and keeps little ones interested.It immediately caught my daughter's attention, and she loves watching it move around the room. I will say that with the lights and music playing together, it can be a little overstimulating for her at times. I usually mute the sound, and she still happily watches and follows it, so I appreciate having that option.It also seems to be fairly durable. My toddler has accidentally dropped it a few times, and it has continued working without any issues. A couple of the legs have popped off during rough play, but they snap right back into place in just a few seconds.Overall, I think this is a fantastic toy for babies who are getting ready to crawl. It's entertaining, encourages movement, and is small enough to pack up and bring along when visiting family. Such a fun little guy
This octopus toy is packed with way more features than I initially expected. My toddler is completely obsessed with it, and it keeps them entertained for long stretches of time. The legs actually spin while it sings, and the eyes light up and move back and forth, which is a nice touch. There is even a little magnet on top of his head that makes the star attachment wiggle around while he moves. It has built-in obstacle detection for side-to-side movement, which does a decent job of keeping it from slamming into walls, though it still occasionally finds its way under the couch.The music selection is surprisingly catchy and feels a lot more dancey than the standard, repetitive songs you usually get with kids toys. I really appreciate that there is a dedicated button to switch tracks, as it saves me from listening to the same loop all day. Most importantly, the rechargeable battery is a total life saver. My kids go through regular batteries at an incredible speed, so being able to just plug this in is a fantastic feature. It is a great purchase and has been a big win for our playroom.Ver másVer menos

Cute toy but weird music.
I ordered this AOTIBO Dancing Octopus for my 2 year old granddaughter. It seems like a sturdy, well made toy. It came with a small paper insert in the box, but it didn’t provide any instructions on what the buttons and switches on the toy are for, although it’s fairly self explanatory. It comes with a charging cord to charge it, so no batteries needed, which is nice. All you have to do it snap on the 8 legs and turn it on. The way the legs move is pretty mesmerizing, but my issue is with the music it plays; it sounds like middle eastern or belly dancing music and it’s just odd for a child’s toy. I also have an issue with the listing saying it can be used for tummy time and crawling, yet it also says it’s for ages 2-6, which is contradictory, and I can see how the eyes on the toy might be scary for small children. I won’t be giving it to my granddaughter, as the music is just odd.Ver másVer menos

A fun and unique toy for tummy time and more
An interesting dancing octopus toy with sound and light up eyes. The toy comes with an instruction sheet, plastic octopus arms and a USB C charging cable. I put it on a USB charger and it charged at .25 amps for around 30 minutes with a total charge of 92 milliamperes. There is no battery level gauge so I don't know the charge level when it arrived. It has a simple slider switch with off, on and a microphone symbol for recording your own voice. Assembly only requires inserting the arms into the matching slots in the toy. There are wheels on the bottom which drive the toy and sensors on each side to avoid obstacles. You can also use these sensors to send it in a different direction. The toy works well on a flat surface and the movement of the arms is unique. The sound level can be adjusted and even turned off with a small push button on the back of the unit. Overall it is a fun toy and seems reasonably durable.Ver másVer menos

Recommend this dancing octopus
My son is 10 months old. I bought this toy for him to play on his stomach. He was immediately attracted by the mysterious dance moves of this octopus. It has built-in music and lights. Now he can crawl and chase after it. What I like about it even more is that it can be charged, which is more environmentally friendly and doesn't deplete the battery. And when I'm feeling agitated, I can mute it. I'm sure moms all need this, hehehe. The automatic obstacle avoidance function can also effectively free up your hands. This is an ideal toy for the crawling stage of little babies. It features sound, light and electricity. When dancing and moving, it is extremely adorable and children won't get tired of it quickly. It has an automatic obstacle avoidance function, which makes things quite convenient.
