  Bold, Smooth, and Great With Milk

  The flavor is the main reason I keep coming back to Arpeggio over the years. It's dark, bold, and roasty without tasting burnt to me. There is a nice cocoa-like depth to it, and the texture feels richer than a lot of lighter Nespresso capsules. It has enough intensity to drink as a straight espresso or ristretto, but it also works really well with milk. Some pods disappear once you turn them into a latte or cappuccino, but this one still holds its flavor. Coffee quality is very solid for a capsule. Obviously, it is not the same ritual as grinding fresh beans and pulling a shot manually, but that is not really the point. The appeal is that the result is reliable every time. The crema is nice, the flavor is consistent from capsule to capsule, and the aluminum pods keep everything fresh until you use them. For everyday convenience, that matters a lot.Ease of use is exactly what you would expect from Nespresso. Pop in the capsule, press the button, and you have espresso without measuring, tamping, dialing in, or cleaning up loose grounds. That is especially useful when I want something quick or when someone else in the house wants coffee without dealing with a full espresso setup. Just make sure you have the right machine. These are for Nespresso Original machines, not Vertuo machines. That is easy to overlook if you are buying pods quickly, but the two systems are not interchangeable. If you do have an Original machine, these work exactly as they should.Overall, this is a great dark roast pod if you want something bold, smooth, and easy to use. It is strong enough for milk drinks, enjoyable as a straight espresso, and consistent enough to keep stocked as an everyday option. At about a dollar per capsule, it is not the cheapest coffee in the world, but compared with coffee shop espresso drinks, it is still a convenient and good-tasting value.Ver másVer menos

  This is most definitely a dark roast, and while I typically do like a medium or light roast I thought I'd revisit the dark roast world again. I am not a fan though... The coffee is ok, I will say I definitely could taste the cocoa notes so I see they have a good sense of flavor notes for sure.These are legit nepresso pods for sure, they fit right into my nepresso compatible machine perfectly, obviously it is the original ones and I have a machine for these types so this works great.They are very small pods and that threw me off a bit but the flavor is very intense so let not the size of the pods fool you. They definitely have flavor.I although am not super fond of dark roast I decided to dress it up with half and half and a little syrup and ultimately it was very pleasant.I would say pods are super easy to use and the espresso is good from the machines... I do prefer regular espresso machines but this really does make the whole coffee making process easier and you can still get th quality caffeine spike you sl crave with espresso and these do in fact have a good espresso caffeine buzz.   Arpeggio Original pods

  Nespresso Capsules Original, Arpeggio Pods are one of my all time favorite Nespresso pods in the vertuo line. The intense creamy layers that pairs beautifully with frothed milk & creamer are the easily the first choice I grab when I need a pick me up or just a special moment to myself. The pods are a level 9 on intensity and even though the box says 40ml or ristretto cup I brew it on the lungo function. It has a roasty flavor with notes of cocoa that are delicious. If I’m trying to replicate a famous chocolate flavored espresso I’ll add a cioccolatino pod along with the Arpeggio and pull a full cup size that I can sip on it for longer. I like the lower acidity of this pod, especially early on. Ive drank this specific blend since my first machine purchase and even though the name and pod have changed the flavor and velvety creamy taste remains the same. The box comes with 2 sleeves of 10 which makes this a dollar a pod which is what the cost pretty much anywhere unless you buy auto ship from the manufacturer. This is a great collection and its shipped very fast which makes it quite a great value, especially you are needing it fast! The pods are the fastest and easiest method of making an espresso that Ive tried and have to say its worth it. The cups are meant to serve a ristretto or espresso size of 40ml but I found the 3.71oz lungo is just as good and makes more to drink size wise.Ver másVer menos

  Better Than My Starbucks Habit ☕❤️

  What can I say? I love these.The Arpeggio capsules have become one of my favorite Nespresso coffees. They're rich, smooth, and dark without being overly bitter, making them exactly what I need first thing in the morning before I'm expected to interact with other people.They're incredibly easy to use, and the quality is consistently excellent. Every shot has a nice crema and a full-bodied flavor that tastes great on its own or as the base for a latte.The biggest bonus? They're far cheaper than my old Starbucks habit. I can make a café-quality espresso at home in less than a minute, without putting on real pants or waiting in a drive-thru line.   A Very Pleasant Dark Roast

  I have been using Nespresso coffee for years. I own a Pixie machine, and my everyday coffee is usually Napoli (intensity 13), which I drink without sugar or milk. This gives you an idea of the reference I used when trying the Arpeggio capsules. The aluminum capsules preserve the coffee very well, and every cup tasted fresh and consistent, with the same crema and flavor from one capsule to the next.As expected from Nespresso, the capsule quality is excellent (hence the price). The capsules fit perfectly, brew consistently, and every cup tastes the same.The aroma while brewing is not particularly strong, but once the coffee is in the cup, the crema is thick, dense, and long-lasting. I would recommend waiting a minute or two before drinking it. Right after brewing it is simply too hot to appreciate the subtle flavors. Once it cools slightly, while still warm, I could clearly detect cocoa and dark chocolate notes.Despite being a dark roast, I didn't find it burnt or overly bitter. It has a rich, smooth taste with no noticeable acidity or unpleasant aftertaste. Overall, it is a very enjoyable espresso and one I would happily buy again.Ver másVer menos

  Good Crema, goes fast

  The crema looks impressive for about 15 seconds, thick and caramel colored, then collapses into a thin ring that disappears completely by the time the cup reaches the table. Straight espresso pulls have a dense, roasty punch with a hint of cocoa on the finish, but add milk and the whole thing flattens into generic bitter coffee. The cocoa sweetness just drowns. Not subtle, gone. For the premium over grocery store Original line pods, the body gain is barely noticeable, maybe 10% thicker if that, and the flavor profile does not justify paying double. The aluminum capsules stay sealed well enough through the first week, but after two weeks in a humid kitchen the aroma starts to fade and the roasty edge gets duller. I find the smoothness. Very good, very smooth. The capsules, as always, is easy to use, and it's compatible with my machine. So the compatibility is very much on point The spent pods drop clean into the bin without making a mess, which is the one smooth part of the routine. A 20 pack disappears faster than expected with two daily pulls, closer to 10 days than two weeks. Fine for occasional espresso if the machine is already owned, but the price creep into luxury territory makes cheaper alternatives worth considering. .Ver másVer menos
