A surprisingly high quality budget friendly pair of buds
When I purchased these buds, I was just looking for something that was inexpensive. Something that, if they broke, I could just toss/get rid of. But I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these buds. To put my journey in perspective, I previously owned the Pixel Buds 2 -> Which malfunctioned and starting giving me harsh ringing that I couldn't stop or fix. The Nothing Ear (a) that I fell asleep in and the stems warped so I couldn't charge them anymore. And finally, the Beats Pros -> which had the left earbud just stop charging completely within a month of owning them.So you can see I was pretty annoyed/jaded with the current landscape of earbuds. Moondrop's Pudding TWS fixed that for me. They've been super durable (i've fallen asleep with them in and haven't broken/warped anything), long battery life (I can wear one bud from 7 AM to 3 PM before I start getting a low battery alert but I don't use any noise canceling or transparency modes), comfortable to wear for extended play sessions (I keep them in all day), the microphone quality is fantastic. It's also great for music. I'm not an audiophile but my LE SSERAFIM tracks sound great in these. I also typically watch Twitch streams, listen to podcasts, listen to music, or do calls. So these are perfect for me. I also LOVE that these are available in Yellow. There's not a whole lot of yellow buds out there so it's super unique.Something you have to accept is that these things aren't going to be as "feature rich" as other more expensive options. There's no "in-ear detection" (your music or video will continue to play regardless of if the earbud is in your ear), volume up/down switch, direct link to your AI assistant, or compact form factor (it does appear somewhat large in your ear; see my photos). However keeping your phone or smartwatch handy is the simplest/easiest workaround to these issues. However, you do get access to noise canceling mode, transparency mode, and gain controls thanks to the app on these earbuds.You can also swap out the sounds of these earbuds for an anime style voice character. Her name is Mizuki Yuki. THE CATCH is that she's not available on the English version of the app. In order to get her, you have to both go to Moondrop's website to install their API (Google App store's app can't upgrade to version 3.5.2 which features Mizuki) AND you need to use the Japanese, Chinese, or Korean language setting to see this assistant option. You CANNOT switch to her and then swap back to the English text. It will reset the voice model. I wish Moondrop would offer her for the English market but at least there's a work around. I don't use the app much so I have it set up like that (attached photos to help you see how to navigate/swap it over). If you have a Google Pixel, you can long press the bar at the bottom for an onscreen translate button which helps SO MUCH when it comes to navigating things.The voice isn't always active it's just more during helpful notifications like having a low battery (she says "Battery Low!) -or- when you put the earbuds in quickly (she says "Connected!"). It's just a cool little feature that's unique to these things and just make them feel fun to wear.FINAL VERDICT? These really did surprise me. Moondrop did a fantastic job with these earbuds. I'm honestly happy I gave them a chance. They didn't let me down.Ver másVer menos
