Such a fun, silly and super creative toy!
This DAN&DARCI scribble drawing robot kit for kids is REALLY COOL! I ordered this for my 8 year old son and 6 year old daughter to be able to play with, as this is something that seemed right up their alley! When i first took it out of the package, I got distracted by my infant crying and hungry, so I went to feed him. After I finished feeding the baby, I went to check on my older 2 kids and they and already ripped the box apart and opened it all up and figured out how to work this drawing robot! I was quite shocked that they didnt need any help, but they also could have asked their dad, im not sure because I wasn't watching them lol. But they were just giggling away at this thing! This drawing robot is really nice quakity, a lot nicer than I expected! And it truly does work! It draws different things based on what you want it to draw and it is very fun and silly for young and even older kods to enjoy. Its easy to setup as I mentioned my 8 and 6 year old kids seemed to have set it up quick and easy! It's cute, fun, silly and it draws for you too... what's not to love about this!? This also would make a really great gift as well. I definitely recommend this drawing robot for kods of all ages!Ver másVer menos

Doesn’t read cards correctly
Does not read the cards correctly. This is our second Scribbly and it still doesn’t read the right cards. Wants to show how to draw a cat instead of the barn. Has issues with multiple cards.

Great idea, great product
So this little Scribbly fella is pretty neat. Its directions are fairly simple yet descriptive. When you turn it on, it is LOUD! The volume button is handy for turning it down but I wish it would remember the volume setting it was at because every time you turn it off it resets to the loudest setting when you turn it back on. The boys would rate it 4.5 stars if they could, knocking off only a half star for the loudness and the voice.But, the idea of Scribbly is pretty neat. Kids can follow the directions and see the drawing taking place at the same time. And the best part is Scribbly works in steps. Draws one part then takes a break and tells you to finish. When you are ready, you just press the pencil button on top of his head and he starts the next step. As an artist, I have used this technique many times in teaching my kids how to draw simple things.My boys liked watching it draw but didn't really want to copy along. They wanted Scribbly to draw the pictures for them so they could just color in the pictures. Since Scribbly is designed to work with the provided dry erase markers, we had to run some tests and figure out how to get Scribbly to work with regular markers. We had success by adding a small hair rubber band at a specific point on a skinny marker. It will drop with into the holder and the rubber band holds it in place just above the paper. Then when it starts, the arms lower and the marker goes down to the paper but as the arms lift up, it is the rubber band that keeps the marker lifted enough so it doesn't drag across the paper. FYI - use a sharpie to mark the marker just under the rubber band and keep these separate from other markers so you can use them without having to recalibrate the rubber band location.Overall this is a neat little toy. Seems well constructed and sturdy. Magnetic arms make it easy to remove and put Scribbly away. We recommend.As a side note, the description states it comes with a starter pack of 50 cards - and it did. The booklet also states "each additional set of cards you purchase has it's own special ScribblyDock." however, it doesn't appear there are additional sets available for purchase at this time.
