Good starter gaming keyboard and mouse
First, the keyboard:This is a well-constructed, compact wired mechanical keyboard with linear switches. That makes it great for gaming (if you don't mind the 60% layout -- personally I prefer a tenkeyless / TKL), and not as good for productivity and office use. The RGB lighting is handy for low-light situations, and also just cool-looking. You cannot adjust the backlighting per key, but you can choose from several different lighting patterns, speeds and colors.Testing this keyboard out, it feels solid; the keys are satisfying to press and the keyboard base does not flex or creak while typing. The keyboard comes with switch and keycap pullers, and four spare switches. Including spare switches is GREAT, because I've had problems with past keyboards having a faulty switch or two, and having to go through warranty support or buying more is a hassle. Since these are hot-swappable, you can simply remove the keycap, then the switch, then carefully insert the new switch and reattach the keycap. This also means you can swap out the keycaps and switches for different ones, if you want to personalize your keyboard. And in fact, the keyboard comes with alternate red keycaps for the Space bar and Escape key, if you want to add some color. I cannot tell whether the keycaps are ABS or PBTNow for the mouse. The mouse feels comfortable to use and also has LED backlighting. The mouse seems to be trying to make up for the keys the keyboard is missing with extra buttons. :) The mouse has the usual left, right, and scrollwheel buttons, plus two thumb buttons (mapped to back/forward). Then it also has three more buttons on the front of the mouse (mapped to changing mouse sensitivity, and changing the LED lighting mode), and one more to the left of the left mouse button (mapped to triple left-click). These are all customizable. There is also a button on the bottom of the mouse -- this also cycles between sensitivity settings. If you want to customize the keyboard keys or mouse buttons, you will need to download Redragon's software separately (search for "Redragon CB201 software"). Note that while you can use this keyboard and mouse with Mac or Linux perfectly well on a basic level, the software allowing customization is only available for Windows. In short, I think this is a good starter keyboard and mouse set -- again with the caveat that the keyboard only has 61 keys, if that matters to you.Ver másVer menos

The Perfect starter set
This is a fantastic starter setup. No need to worry about Bluetooth pairing - plug and play. The keyboard has an economically small footprint - it doesn't take up more space than needed. It has a footprint slightly smaller than my Keychron K6. And I'm a fan of items that suit their environment. The keyboard itself is largely plastic, and very light. The equipped switches are linear red switches (a suitable choice), but in their all-plastic environment they sound 'ping-y'. Dissassembly of the board down to the battery shows no inter-layer foam or sound dampening at all. Understandable for an economy set, but it did allow for ping-y echoes from the keys. The keyboard PCB itself is very capable. This set is prime for customization. I would absolutely recommend for a keyboard newcomer to start with this set and learn how to install foam layers, switch and keycap combos, and other custom options. For me, I decided to lean into the echo-y nature of the keyboard and went with Gateron Melodics. From here, I imagine its kind of like tuning a guitar.Of this combo, I am most impressed with the mouse. This is a magnificent mouse! Yes, it's wired, but you can almost forget that when using it. It's DEADLY silent! Don't know how they do that. My Logi MX Master 2s (getting a little long in the tooth) sounds like a snow plow next to it. Even though some of this mouse's functions are inaccessible for a Mac user, I am keeping this device close. It has a very comfortable form, with the dpi adjustment buttons neatly tucked up on the top. You can even adjust lighting effect separate from keyboard with the button behind the dpi ones. Oh, and its surfaces are pleasant to touch. Tactile and smooth, but without any plastic-y feel.Ver másVer menos

Redragon CB201 gaming keyboard and mouse 61 key
This Redragon gaming keyboard and mouse combo is an excellent starter bundle for gamers looking to upgrade their setup without spending a fortune. The combination of the compact K617 RGB keyboard and the M612 gaming mouse provides a coordinated gaming experience that's well-suited for both casual and competitive play. The 61-key keyboard features a space-saving design that frees up valuable desk space while still providing responsive key presses for gaming and everyday use. The RGB lighting adds a vibrant, customizable look that enhances the overall gaming setup and creates an immersive atmosphere. The included M612 gaming mouse offers adjustable DPI settings up to 8000 DPI, allowing users to fine-tune sensitivity for different games and playstyles. The mouse feels comfortable in hand and provides smooth tracking for FPS, MOBA, RPG, and general gaming applications. Both devices feel solidly built for their price range, with responsive performance and reliable wired connections that eliminate concerns about battery life or wireless latency. The compact keyboard also leaves more room for mouse movement, which many gamers appreciate.Overall, a great value for the money and a well-rounded gaming bundle that combines responsive controls, customizable RGB lighting, and reliable performance for gaming, work, and everyday computing.Ver másVer menos

Love the Mechanical Feel
This combo has been a lot of fun to use. The keyboard has that satisfying mechanical feel and sound that makes typing and gaming much more enjoyable compared to a standard membrane keyboard. The keys are responsive, and the compact 61-key layout frees up a lot of desk space. The RGB lighting looks great without being over the top, and there are plenty of effects to play with if that's your thing. The mouse is a nice match for the keyboard. It tracks well, feels comfortable in the hand, and the adjustable DPI settings make it easy to dial in for gaming or everyday use.For the price, this combo offers a lot of value. If you're looking to get into mechanical keyboards without spending a fortune, this is a great place to start. I've really enjoyed using it.Ver másVer menos

Bad reflection of what good keyboards are out there, but a good combo
Decent entry into mechanical land but a band reflection of what good keyboards are out there. This is very cheap keyboard. 5/5 but just not for me. It lacks a real function row, it feels cheap, and the red plastic in addition to the rgb just looks tacky. The RGB is hard to control, not all the functions are printed onto the keys either so beyond not being common binds they are customization and hard to recall and get used to. That said, it's a cheap entry into a repairable keyboard, with a mouse as a combo, so for the money it's pretty good, it's just not the best either.Ver másVer menos

Great budget combo RGB Keyboard and mouse bundle
Quality is pretty good for the price. This is a bundle set from Redragon so I will give my opinions on each:Redragon CB201 Gaming mouse: Wired. I come from a Razer Basilisk v3 pro 35k and MX Master 3s and there is a clear difference this mouse feels cheaper, but that's to be expected. Button placement is optimal, except for the top button near the left click button. It lights up in RGB. I would have loved to see a better scroll wheel. I really like the thumb rest texture on the side. Unfortunately this mouse doesn't glide easily and I cannot use this in my regular rotation. Even my 2 button hp mouse glides better. 3/5Redragon K617 Keyboard: This is a 60% keyboard so it's definitely smaller than I am used to. Not going to fault the keyboard. It does light up however I do wish the brightness could be a little brighter. While it is missing the arrow keys, you can hold the FN key and use WASD in order to emulate the arrow keys. This is perfect if you really are tight on space but as you can see from the picture, my Logitech K810 keyboard isn't much bigger and much thinner, and I have the arrow keys. The keyboard is very lightweight. My main criticism on the keyboard is the USB C port is on the left side, I would have much preferred it in the back of the device, it just feels like it's in the way. 4/5Overall, a solid combo from Redragon and you can save a few bucks compared to purchasing them separately. If I were to do this again I'd buy the keyboard and use a different mouse with better feetVer másVer menos
