Exceeded my expectations!

I've been using the Baseus Bowie MC2 for a few days now, and I'm genuinely impressed. The clip-on open-ear design is incredibly comfortable. I can wear them for hours without my ears getting sore or fatigued, and they stay securely in place even while walking or working out.The sound quality is surprisingly rich for open-ear earbuds. With LDAC enabled, the audio is crisp, vocals are clear, and the bass has more punch than I expected without completely blocking out my surroundings. I like that I can still hear traffic or people talking, which makes them perfect for outdoor walks and commuting.Battery life has also been excellent, and pairing was quick and seamless. The call quality is clear, and the lightweight design makes it easy to forget you're even wearing them.If you're looking for comfortable open-ear earbuds that offer great sound, long battery life, and excellent value for the price, I highly recommend the Baseus Bowie MC2. Best open-earbuds I’ve tried!

TL;DR: Best earbuds in their category, punching above their weight. No notes.As a professional musician and producer I know what to expect at which price point with earbuds and headphones. I don’t expect $30 earbuds to sound like $200 headphones. I’m also a runner, so I put these through the wringer, and took them on my daily trail runs in California. I also tested calls and wore them while cooking, Iistening to music and audiobooks. Detailed review:Out of the box, the quality of these is impressive. The case is made of high-quality plastic, which feels super smooth to the touch and is pleasant to handle. The “blue” color-way is BEAUTIFUL! It’s more like a very dark purple (which I prefer) and is represented in the product photos. I LOVE this color! With that said, know that the product photo represents this color as brighter than it is.SOUND QUALITYSuperb. I listened both to workout music and audiobooks with these. The bass was much more present than I expected in a good way; Better than what I’ve found in budget open earbuds like my Soundpeats Clip2 (those are less than half the price of these though; and excellent, but less flashy than these).CALLSPristine. The call quality blew my expectations of open earbuds out of the water. Obviously, when outdoors, it will be noisy for the caller on the other end (as using a phone would be). However, I used these indoors for a long call and the person on the other line never knew I even had earbuds on. The call quality on the other end was THAT good! Also, I could hear the person pristine clear.BLUETOOTHThe pairing is seamless and quick. It’s quicker than the flagship Sony XM6 headphones. They connected to all my Apple products without issue, as well as to my Suunto running watch.RUNNINGRecently, I’ve been wearing open earbuds on my outdoor runs, because I need to be able to hear what’s around me. Lots of coyotes and rattlesnakes in my area, so it’s important to keep aware. I happened to be in a situation where I heard coyotes howling near me, and having the physical button within easy reach was really useful so I could pause my music immediately, without having to take the earbuds off, which is something in-ears would not be able to do.FITThese don’t fall off easily. They have great grip without putting any pressure on my ear. The included extra ear tips came in really handy. One of the earbuds felt relatively loose (one of my ears is bigger) so I changed that one to an L rubber ear tip, and now it fits great.BATTERY LIFERegarding charging, I’ve had these for two weeks, and I haven’t had to charge them since. So, excellent!QUALITYThey are great quality and well-made.CASEIt’s lightweight, but sturdy. The charging light is bright and clear. Overall, portable.They have IP67 water and sweat resistance rating. That is really welcome on something that will be used outdoors. There is no rain where I am at the moment, so I haven’t tested that, but I’m inclined to think they would do fine in light rain.For context, I have reviewed many earbuds and headphones. These are the best earbuds I’ve tried in the open earbud category. I would put them towards the higher-end category in terms of price. They absolutely justified, and they are a great value for the money, punching above their price point.If you’re thinking of getting these, keep in mind your main use first. These would be excellent for a situation where you need to be aware and interact with the environment instead of being isolated. They would work great for hikes, runs, calls, watching movies, and as long as you’re not laying on your side (but that goes for ALL open earbuds, not just these).I’ve tried other products from Baseus, including their power strips, USB-hub (which even works with my Steamdeck) and even their flagship headphones. Pretty good and reliable for daily activities

So, I’ve been always curious to try out this type of earphone when this was introduced. I have so many type and brand of earphone that I tried and use. I enjoy music a lot and I have to be listening to something all the time weather I’m at the gym working out or just doing some chores. First of, I find this type of earphones very easy to use. It’s very lightweight and you won’t even notice you are wearing it once you get use to it. It doesn’t give you a fatigue like other earphone when you wear them too long. The battery life seems to be holding up pretty good too. The only thing I have a concern on is there are times that outside noise would come in when you are working out and hot very sweaty. I think it’s the way it grip your ear, that it tend to slide and in which make the outside noise get in your ear canal and you don’t have a tight sealer anymore. But when I was using it while doing my gardening, it seems to be sealing my ear pretty well and I don’t hear the outside noise compare to when I use it at the gym and my ear get wet from sweat. Overall, I think it’s an interesting concept and it is pretty reliable and the sound is pretty comparable to my AirPod Pro 3 without the feeling of fatigue when you wear it too long. I pretty much recommend this earphone if you are in the market for a reliable with long battery life earphones that is practical for everyday use.Ver más

Excellent upgrade over the MC1

Excellent upgrade over the MC1I owned the Baseus MC1 earbuds and really enjoyed them, but my biggest complaint was that I couldn’t easily position the speaker to point directly into my ear. The MC2 completely fixes that. The improved flexibility makes it much easier to get the ideal fit and noticeably improves the listening experience.The battery life is also better, and the Bluetooth connection has been much more consistent. I recently walked around a beach town listening to music, and these felt incredibly natural to wear. Instead of feeling like I had earbuds in, it almost sounded as if the music was coming from the environment around me. They’re immersive without blocking out the world, which is exactly what I want from open-ear earbuds. I could enjoy my music while still being fully aware of my surroundings.I also noticed an improvement in both sound quality and overall build quality compared to the MC1. Everything feels a bit more refined and polished.If you liked the MC1 but wished for a more adjustable fit, the MC2 is a worthwhile upgrade. I’m very satisfied with them.Ver más

Great but 1 weird issue

I own a few Baseus products and find them to be great. I have the cheaper BC1's and these are improvements over those. Quality, material, sound, comfort are up a notch across the board. No issues with the app as well and there was even a firmware update out of the box. The issue I am having is when I am outside mostly, there is occasionally a 1 sec interuption of the audio and I am not sure why. Its not happening to any other audio stuff from them so I think I just got a defective one; or at least I hope that is it. Going to see about a replacement.Ver más

Love the fit!

Truth be told, I already have a different set of Baseus in-ear ear buds with ANC that I love. But, I've always wanted to try the clip-on open ear style. I was not disappointed! Super comfortable, easy to set up, and great battery life.Although you can't expect in-ear quality for sound isolation, I was really impressed that I regularly forget they are open-ear. The sound is great when there's not a lot of background noise and even when there is, it's acceptable.Since the general purpose of open-ear is to be able to be aware of your surroundings, I have no complaints.They don't slip or feel loose but also don't feel tight or pinch when wearing for long periods of time.I like having a physical button to use on the ear buds instead of relying on just touch. It's very easy to find the right spot just behind my ear to do what I need without having to use my phone. And the app is great for audio balance and listening preference, as always.Charging is easy and the case tells you when it's needed because the light turns red instead of white. Super easy to see!The price point is a little higher than I would normally look at, but I have to say these are worth it. Would totally recommend them to anyone wanting to check out clip-on open earbuds!Ver más
