Extremely comfortable headphones
This is my first pair of Bose headphones, and I can understand why people like them so much. I have quite a few other headphones to compare them to, and these definitely hold their own. All of the buttons are intuitive, and I really like that they have an actual switch to power them on and off. They are also lightweight, which makes them extremely comfortable for long listening sessions.As far as sound quality goes, these sound very good. They have clear, crisp highs, full mids, and well balanced bass. I do wish they had more than a 3-band EQ slider, but you can still customize the sound to your liking.The transparency mode is excellent. Everything sounds natural and doesn't have that robotic or processed sound that some headphones have. As for the ANC, I compared them to some of my other headphones while mowing the lawn, and they just weren't as effective as the others I tested. This is the main reason I knocked off one star. The ANC isn't bad by any means, I was just expecting a little more considering the advertised price.Overall, these are great headphones. Perfect fit
Awesome. I have the original quiet comforts and these feel snugger on the head which is good for working out. Super comfortable. They look sleeker and slimmer too.

An upgrade over the last QC headphones, still clearly their mid-range product
I have a love/hate relationship with Bose lately. Their QC Ultra series of over-ear headphones are great while their QC Ultra earbuds line is terrible, far too buggy to be a product on the market. I tried their QC earbuds, which I'm 100% positive are developed by Skullcandy (including the app) and had mixed results, also with their QC headphones. The QC headphones released a couple of years ago were essentially the QC45 with worse ANC.I decided to try these and again have a mixed bag experience and it's mostly due to their high price. These are $40 less than the Sony WH-1000XM6 yet should be priced $100-$150 less as the Sony outperform them in every way. These have flagship pricing while being a mid-tier product. I'll start with the positives.These headphones are lightweight and comfortable. Bose finally updated the design and they're a cross between last generation's QC headphones and the QC Ultra series. They look more streamlined and not like something my father-in-law would daily carry. The QC headphones 2nd gen still fold flat and into themselves for easy travel and they come with a nice travel case. It's not as nice as the case the QC Ultra gen 2 or Sony XM6 headphones come with, but it is better than a bag or the bra case Apple has with the AirPods Max.There's ample space in the ear cups for my ears and I don't experience fatigue after wearing these for long period. Overall sound quality is ok. These have a sound signature that most people will find pleasing and you can EQ them in Bose's terrible app. The app sees these headphones half the time and it isn't limited to just limited to my Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. These support multi-point, which is great, so I have them paired to my iPad 13 Pro and phone. The app has issues detecting the headphones on both devices.Even when you can EQ them, it's only a basic 3-band EQ. That's enough for most people though and does the job. The app lets you adjust other settings and Bose opened the QC series up to USB audio. This provides a lossless connection, but that's just marketing fluff and overkill for anyone actively using these headphones. These aren't the type of headphones you're going to do any critical listening on, they just aren't made for that and it's fine.Unlike the QC Ultra series, these don't support more advanced codecs. You get AAC and SBS only. No aptX (though Bose's implementation of aptX is extremely flawed because it relies solely on the Snapdragon sound platform), not licensing LDAC, no LC3, no Auracast, nothing advanced. These have bare basic codec support. That's fine for iPhone's where Apple's AAC encoder is top notch. It's terrible for Android phones were AAC codecs vary by OEM, release, Android version, and/or security update. They're all inferior to Apple's AAC encoder and produce higher lag compared to aptX and even LDAC. Bummer.Bose added some tricks with these, like cinema mode and faux surround sound. I disabled all of them and they only deter audio quality. I think they're all gimmicks, regardless of brand. Any attempt to "upscale" stereo audio to a fake surround only decreases details and audio quality with most of the audio coming through the center. What's the point of doing that? It also reduces the headphone's battery life from 24 hours to 18 hours, all just to make it sound worse. Bose also took out the analog 2.5mm input and made these accept wired audio over USB-C only. However, they did include a 3.5mm to USB-C cable, so that's nice. No charging brick (which is fine) or airline adapter.The ANC on these clearly put them as a mid-tier product, at best. There's still an audible hiss when the ANC is enabled and people sensitive to ANC ear pressure will experience it with these. I'm ok with ANC ear pressure, but these are clearly using Bose's old ANC tech. I wouldn't have an issue with the ANC being this bad compared to the QC Ultra Gen 2 or Sony XM6 headphones. But, right now, both of those headphones are only $40 more than these. I wouldn't be saying much if Bose launched these at $250 (except for when Sony re-launched their XM4 headphones and those get down to $199). For $250, I can live with some of the shortcomings and mid-tier ANC.But, for their $360 MSRP, there's no excuse why the ANC lags so far behind Sony's and Bose's flagship headphones. Not only that but both flagship headphones from Bose and Sony sound better with Sony's app being miles ahead of Bose (and offering a more advanced EQ). The Bose QC headphones 2nd gen occupy a weird spot in Bose's lineup. I get them wanting something priced below the QC Ultra 2nd gen, which have an MSRP of $450. But they're routinely on sale for $380-$400. When that happens, it's hard to justify these headphones given their so-so audio quality and hiss-producing ANC that cancels out less than my Sony earbuds (which also cost $60 less than these headphones).Bose needs to figure out pricing. I get that everything is high these days, but these are priced way too high. They're a step up from the first generation QC headphones, which were actually a decrease in quality compared to the QC45. These still don't match up to the QC45 despite the age of those headphones. I just can't recommend these headphones at their MSRP. They need to be $100 less to justify their performance. For $40 more, you can buy much better headphones that have increased ANC and better sound quality with more advanced codec support.

Awesome, but not in all ways better than 1st Gen
It's tough to go wrong with Bose QuietComfort headphones. With the Gen 2 they've upped their game, but also left a couple things behind.To begin with the noise cancelling is excellent. Probably better than Gen 1, but we're talking about degrees here, not leaps forward.Size/comfort is about the same. The ear cups look pretty much identical. The covered portion of the headband is wider on the Gen 2, but the portion of it that is padded is the same as Gen 1.Ergonomically, the on/off button has changed from Gen 1 to Gen 2, but the functions work the same.Capability is the big difference. Gen 2 offers immersive audio (with immersive, cinema and a custom configurations). This is probably the biggest difference for me. The immersive audio is both impressive and addicting. It also breaks down further into still and motion modes where the immersive sounds can vary (or not) when you move your head. It's pretty cool (though it does eat up battery life faster).If you're planning on watching a lot of movies the immersive audio probably makes the extra money for the gen 2 worthwhile.Now, what got left behind?The new headband adjusts smoothly versus more of a "ratchet" feel on the Gen 1. Personally I like the way the Gen 1 headband adjusts better.When you turn on the Gen 1s they have a voice prompt that tells you what they're connected to along with the battery level. With the Gen 2 all you get is a tone for each item they connect to and you have to check the device or the app to see if they're connected/battery level. Honestly, I'm not sure why they left the Gen 1 version of this functionality behind.Playing music: for bluetooth music I thought Gen 1s sounded better. The Gen 2s aren't bad, but seemed a little harsh at the high end compared to Gen 1. Now, Gen 2s do have lossless capability when using a USB-C connection, which is probably nice, but not something I'm going to use.Are the Gen 2s worth the extra money? Well, it depends. If you're just doing audiobooks and bluetooth music probably not, but for streaming TV/Movies I'd say they are.Ver másVer menos

Awesome ANC
I've used Bose headphones before and these are pretty much what I expected from Bose. The noise cancelling is top notch. As soon as I put them on, noises like my microwave, washer, or dryer pretty much disappear. I bet these would also work great on an airplane.Sound is the typical V-shaped sound, with boosted bass and treble. The bass is pretty thumpy, but thankfully it doesn't bleed into the midrange too much, so the sound doesn't get super muddy. The soundstage is also surprisingly wide for a closed-back headphone.You can use the Bose app to choose different EQ presets and adjust the sound. I tried the bass boost and thought it was honestly too much, but you can adjust the EQ to your liking, so that's not really a problem.The seal around my ears is very good too. At moderate volume, I couldn't really hear anything leaking out when someone else was wearing them. I only started hearing the music when they turned the volume up really loud.The clamping force feels just right to me. It doesn't squeeze my head too hard or give me a headache. The headband extends quite a bit, so if you have a larger head I wouldn't worry too much. There are no "clicks" when adjusting it like its predecessors so you can make very small adjustments to get the fit right. The yokes also swivel left and right to fit different head shapes, and the headphones fold nicely into the included case.Cons:Mine are black and have a nice matte finish with a glossy Bose logo. The matte surface doesn't really show normal fingerprints, but if you touch it with oily fingers, you'll definitely see the marks.I do like the new screwless chassis compared to the older design because it looks cleaner and more modern. BUT I wonder if that will make replacing parts harder later. One thing I always liked about Bose is how easy it is to replace the headband or other parts when they eventually wear out.I also noticed the headband extension rods are different. Best ANC I have ever heard - or not heard
"The QC2 are an outstanding set of headphones. Good sounding music is my top priority when evaluating headphones and these are as good as I have ever heard, good bass, realistic midrange and clear treble. I never had to touch the equalizer.Contributing to beautiful sound are ear cups that effectively isolate outside noise while being extremely comfortable. Add to that the ANC and there is nothing between you and your music. Speaking of ANC, this was by far the best I have ever heard. I have never bought headphones that cost $400 or more so there could be something better out there but it's hard to imagine. I was standing in my laundry room with both the washer and dryer going, I hit the button and they disappeared. I wasn't listening to music, there was just - nothing. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't heard it.Enough of the gushing. These things look fine, pretty nondescript. I was struck at how light they were. I am used to quality stuff having a bit more heft. There is no metal, not even in the headband. On the plus side this makes them super comfortable for long periods and great for travel. I did feel the clamping force was a little strong but not uncomfortable. They felt very secure. The plastic used did not feel . . . . premium, although the ear pad material felt very nice. The few buttons were easy to find and press, they are straight forward. To access all these phones have to offer however, you have to use their app. The ""immersive audio"" was not for me. I got these mainly to replace my beat up first generation pair that I have been dragging to the gym and on the GO Train for the last two years. The moment I put them on I noticed the new headband is way wider and the synthetic leather feels super plush against my skin without causing that weird sweaty itch I used to get after an hour of wearing the older model. At 237 grams they practically disappear when you are focused on lifting weights or staring out the window watching the sunset. The clamping force is just right out of the box so they do not squeeze your skull like a vice but they still stay put when you are nodding along to a podcast or looking down at your phone. I really appreciate that the earcups are angled properly inside so my ears do not rub against the driver fabric which was a massive annoyance on some other brands I tried recently. I also love that the hinges fold flat so I can just slide them under my jacket when I walk into the office.Using them out and about in the city is where the new active noise cancelling really shines compared to the 2023 version. I take the subway every morning and the screeching of the tracks usually gives me a headache but these block out almost all of that high pitched metal grinding while keeping the low rumble totally muted. The aware mode is a massive step up too because I can hear the transit announcer calling out stops without having to pause my music or take the headset off entirely. I did notice they only get 24 hours of battery life with the noise cancelling turned on which is a bit of a bummer since the Ultra 2 manages 30 hours on a single charge. I usually just toss them on the charger overnight twice a week so it is not a dealbreaker for my routine but it would have been nice to see them match the top tier battery standard this year. The new oval case is way better than the old rectangle one and it fits into my work bag without taking up half the space.Sound quality is a huge upgrade from the muddy bass heavy tuning of the previous generation and these sound way more balanced right out of the box. I listen to a lot of indie rock and acoustic stuff on my commute and the vocals are crystal clear without getting drowned out by artificial sub bass thumping. I have not even bothered messing with the EQ app yet because the stock profile is just so good for everyday listening. The USB C wired connection is a nice bonus when I am sitting at my desk at work and want to save battery while listening to lossless tracks from my laptop. I do wish they included aptX Lossless over Bluetooth like the Ultra series has but for streaming Spotify on the train the standard connection is totally fine and I never notice any dropouts even when the train goes underground. The physical buttons are super easy to find by touch and the volume rocker has a nice click to it so you never accidentally skip a track when adjusting the sound.The biggest dilemma right now is the price because they are sitting at 359 dollars while the Ultra 2 is only about ten bucks more on sale. If you have the extra ten dollars you should probably just grab the Ultra 2 for the better build quality and the extra codecs but if you wait a few months for a holiday sale this will easily drop below 300 dollars and become the best value on the market. The all plastic build feels a little less premium than the metal sliders on the original 2023 model but they still feel sturdy enough to survive being tossed around in my backpack every day. The microphone picks up my voice really well on phone calls even when I am walking outside in the wind and my buddies said I sounded way better than I did on my old headset. They are an amazing daily driver that just works without any fuss and the comfort level is totally unmatched in this price bracket once you get past the initial sticker shock. I took them to a local coffee shop to get some work done and the cinema mode made watching a quick video on my tablet feel like I was in a private theater.

Spectacular sound and comfort with huge battery life and effortlessly easy controls
These Bose QuietComfort headphones are absolutely amazing.I've been buying Bose products for more than 30 years, first starting with an Acoustimass 10 Home Theater System back in the 90s and I'm still using it to this day. I purchased Bose Bluetooth AE2w headphones many years ago, too and absolutely loved them even after the battery stopped charging after many years of reliable service. Since then I've purchased a lot of different expensive headphones from different manufacturers (Sony, Anker, Plantronics to name a few) but getting a pair of these Bose QuietComfort headphones made me realize that I made a huge mistake.I feel like a fanboy returning to his roots. This is what I LOVE about these headphones:-spectacular sound quality with perfectly balanced bass and treble - not over or under like so many other headphones-fit and comfort second to none, even for large heads/ears (I have both - thanks, mom)-AMAZING noise cancellation and microphone clarity (fantastic for work calls - it's like you are in a quietroom)-an app that actually freaking works flawlessly on both phones and tablets and is synced perfectly between both-effortless, multi-button controls, including a manual power switch-epic battery life (PD charging fully supported)-the trippy cinema/spatialized sound mode works really, really well-a wired mode you can use when Bluetooth is either not available or in the way (a 2.5mm to USB C cable is included)To be fair, a lot of headphones have great sound quality but without question these sound the best to me and have everything else I want in a pair of headphones. I'm not one of those "oh, *I* can hear a difference" types and NO, vinyl does NOT sound "better or richer" than CD. Digital audio is better in every way except for the nostalgia. These headphones might just have perfectly balanced the 20-20K spectrum we can hear as you would expect Bose to do. For my ears, these are the headphones I would choose to wear for all the reasons that matter with sound quality topping the list.What I don't like about these headphones is the same thing I don't like about most Bluetooth headphones - the battery is painfully difficult to change once it eventually wears out. If you check out iFixIt for the effort required to change the battery on previous generations of Bose QuietComfort headphones you'll see what I mean. Is it really so hard to make the battery a slot-in design so it can be changed?Otherwise, I can only say these feel like *THE* perfect headphones.Highly recommended.
